Cocktail Lounge atop the historic Beekman Tower offering 360 views of Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Ophelia offers a crafted a two-part cocktail menu featuring reinventions of classic and signature cocktails inspired by the natural elements and the glory of the lounge during its heyday in the 1920s and 30s.

Chef Ambrosio sources ingredients from local and international artisans, farmers, and fishmongers to create an elevated and refined culinary voyage. Small dishes include Maine Lobster Spring Rolls, Seared Hudson Valley Foie Gras with dried cherries, Classic Caviar Service, Prime Beef Tenderloin, and Truffle Fries.

USA has become a sad reflections of today’s Western society - “Ophelia” ( even though our granddaughter shares the same name ), is not an exception to this new rule. Staff has no clue what a cocktail bar consists of. Wrong glasses, cocktails are poor variations on the original, sticky glasses as full to the brim,, ONE ladies’ water closet for the entire bar. Persona of a barman was hidden in a young chap who did not master the craft. American approach of asking guests multiple times: “Is everything OK?” is not service. Not even addressing the ridicule bordering on rudeness of assuming that a tip of 18/20/22% will be added ! Fools ! Alors, certainly, this is NOT a place to be revisited

We wanted to eat somewhere with a view, and we picked correctly. Our server was very nice and explained various dishes so we could decide. We ordered two dishes as starters and two as main courses. Somehow they arrived all at once and there was a scramble to find room on the little table. We reiterated our desire to have the dishes coursed, and our server explained that the dishes just come out as they are prepared. I would say that perhaps there was a communication breakdown. We loved the French Onion Sliders and the Duck Spring roles. The ravioli were great and I loved the Sea Bass skewers. Oh and the truffle fries were a real treat! It took a minute to get the check, but I think the place was just so busy maybe they didn't have enough servers.

This spot has a good bar and a great view but is not set up as a restaurant. There are few or no regular tables and the brunch consisted of "towers", tiered plates each containing small sandwiches, quiche slices and similar items priced at a steep $75 per person. Service was however excellent and the view fantastic. It would be a fabulous place to have a drink!

Beautiful view as long as you are seated looking towards the water. Not many regular table and chairs. More like a living room space. Food was good but pricey. Place was a little dated. Could use a refresher.

I loved it but the place is smaller than I envisioned. Loved the ambiance ans the mimosa is one of a kind ❤️
