Omakaseed brings experiential dining and a unique flair for service within the plant-based community. With a focus on Japanese-inspired vegan omakase, Omakaseed seeks to continue the mission of the team behind Sushi By Bou. We focus on natural, minimally processed ingredients, highlighting seasonal and local produce. Omakaseed puts an emphasis on conscious cuisine and expanding the palettes of all who join us, vegan or not.

Choose between our classic 11-course vegan menu or get Bougie with our 15-course vegan experience. Beverages may be purchased at an additional cost. Please arrive a few minutes early.

Omakaseed 24-hour Cancellation Policy: A 50% per person fee will apply to cancellations and no-shows for reservations made within 24 hours of reservation time. This is truly a unique dining experience! You have a personal chef preparing 15 individual single bite vegan sushi and Japanese styled foods. The setting is lovely. Each item was a new and exciting party in your mouth- delicious foods. One of us had a cocktail that was satisfying too . The chef did not do a lot of explaining and we did not know when our final dish was being served. It would have been truly 5 star if the chef was a bit more engaging- giving us more info about the dishes, and the ingredients etc. Additionally there was an error on the bill- it was corrected immediately.

Is a very interesting experience, food was amazing. The Chef explain every detail of all of the ingredients in all the dishes. I will definitely going again.

We went for our anniversary dinner and were not disappointed. The intimate dinner setting elevated our experience and the food was 🤌Every course was better than the other and the chef was very talented. All in all had a wonderful time. Highly recommend

What an incredible experience! The food was outstanding - delicious, creative, and visually stunning. I do wish we'd had a little more time, but otherwise everything was perfect. Highly recommended.

This was my first experience with Omakasa. I was pleasantly surprised with each dish. They were tiny so I didn’t get stuffed. Each dish was full of flavor and very unique. I would love to come again.

Having a more intimate setting allows you to appreciate the artistry of preparing, presenting, and actually savoring the food. It was a wonderful experience. Chef mentioned the menu was seasonal so I will be going back!

David was an outstanding chef! This is such an experience. They seat no more than 10 people at a time, right at the sushi bar, with two chefs preparing the sushi right in front of you. We did the 15 courses and loved every single one. My date and I were the only two actual vegans there; everyone else was an omnivore who loved fish-based sushi but had heard so many rave reviews about Omakaseed, they decided to give vegan sushi a try. Two diners told me afterwards they were so impressed they thought the vegan sushi was BETTER than animal-based sushi. I have to agree. The menu was creative, healthy and delicious. The gold topped sushi wrap (real, edible gold) and watermelon sashimi and nori blue crab wrap (made of hearts of palm) were three of the most fun and creative courses. Everything was fun and creative, though. You never want it to end!

Excellent experience. All the courses were great, and some of them blew our minds. Only complaint would be amount of food. I was just approaching full but my husband could have had more. That said we will be back!

The concept was wonderful and the meal was great taste wise. However service left so much to be desired. 1. I tried to treat my friend for dinner and prepaid for the bougie experience, and informed the hostess that this was meant to be a surprise, but she did not follow through. At the end of the meal she left the check on the table for the whole amount AND placed it between me and my friend instead of giving it to me. (We ordered drinks so we had to pay for those). I arrived early so I could prepay for the meal for myself and my guest as I upgraded from the regular to the bougie and I wanted to cover the cost. I prepaid with the hostess and made it clear I did not want to see a bill come to the table for dinner at the end of the night that said anything about the price for the meal. The hostess agreed and said only a drinks tab would be given at the end of the night. End of the meal comes around and she literally puts the check between me and my friend AND the check has the total amount on it. Not just the drinks. This was just such a mood killer at the end and left my friend feeling like she has to pay me back when I was trying to treat her. There’s 12 people in a seating. It’s not hard to honor a request to only give the bill to me and not display information on what was prepaid. 2. They did not accept cash. Pretty sure that’s against nyc regulations. 3. Dishes were not cleared in a tidy manner between courses. After the dashi course the bowl was not cleared for 2 more courses. 4. The chef on our half of the table really lacked excitement or enthusiasm for the work he was doing. It was obvious he was just reciting back what he had memorized about each course and had no interest in engaging on the ingredients or sharing and additional knowledge.

Excellent Omakase experience. Food far surpassed all expectations we had going in. Only negative is It felt a bit rushed and we were asked to get up very soon after our last course as they were preparing our seats for the next seating (we were sat late because previous booking went over on time). Would go back again and would recommend to anyone looking for a new vegan adventure.

Omakaseed is back and better than ever! It's tucked into a random (but very nice bar) on the second floor of the Sanctuary Hotel, and has a terrific menu, excellent service, and a great selection of sake (and whatever else you might want) from the bar. Reasonably priced, excellent ambiance, and great food and service. Two thumbs up for vegans and non-vegans alike.

One of the top vegan tastings of all time. And, we have been to the top vegan restaurants in the world. Taste was fantastic. Ambience and service equally great. We should have opted for the larger course menu. Food came at a perfect rate, but it went a little too fast and could have used a few more courses to fill me up. Drinks were awesome also. Great night out, make sure to go for the extended course menu. Small bar, I think it had 4 seats, but we arrived an hour early and it was so much fun watching the action form the bar.

The food was EXCELLENT! as a vegetarian I have always wanted to try omakase but it hasn't been accessible. This menu was bursting with unique and delicious flavors. Each course of the 15 was unique and incredible. The staff was amazing and friendly. The ambiance was very nice (music was a little loud) but overall was an incredible experience. Highly recommend!

Very enjoyable & unique dining experience at Sanctuary Hotel. The room was lovely, like a library. The chefs were engaging as they presented and explained each piece of sushi. Good selection of sake and other cocktails to accompany the food. Felt like more of a tasting rather than a meal. That said, happy we went and will be back again.

Every bite of the food was phenomenal! Definitely should experience at least once. Because they were running late, the my drink was complimentary Even though they didn't tell us. Overall would recommend.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! MUST TRY!!! The entire experience was perfect! The ambience is super cool, the food was incredible and the service was top notch! The menu changes every 4 weeks so we can't wait to come back and try the next set of options. Great for a date night, special occasion or fun dinner out with friends! The room looks like a trendy library bar! Every single dish was sensational! A great option for anyone whether or not you are plant based!!

Very nice experience. Delicious, innovative vegetarian take on omakase. A great variety of flavors and textures. I love sushi, but the fruits, vegetables and fungi were so well prepared and offered in such variety that animal products were not missed at all. The only criticism would be that it is bit pricey for the amount of food and really would have benefitted from a real dessert at the end. I would go again.

It was a wonderful experience. I really enjoyed our chef, Dejanais and it was fun watching her create the dishes. Each piece was crafted beautifully. The one draw back is that I would have liked more food for the price.

Our chef Camden was amazing. He took his time to explain the dishes as well as made sure they were cooked to perfection. He took his time to answer ant questions we had as well. We had a great time dining with him

As a vegan, this is an AMAZING experience I never get to enjoy at a normal Omakase. The food was 10/10 and the ambiance / chefs were incredible. Our waiter suggested an off the menu apple martini (with vodka) and it was one of the best cocktails I've ever had. I highly suggest this experience for everyone! (vegan and or non vegan)
