Even though the items on the menu are over priced, the food and drinks are excellent, so it was well worth the cost to celebrate a special occasion. Our waitress, Lydia, was very personable and knowledgeable of the menu selection. She checked on us frequently even though she was busy serving other tables, one with a large group of customers.

We really like Olive & Oak but the Mother’s Day Brunch buffet wasn’t a great experience. For starters, it wasn’t worth the cost. There wasn’t a big selection and they were out of most things every time we went in line. While the place is cool, the food was not great, especially at $85 / person. Lesson learned. To make matters worse, they charged a 22% gratuity. The server only got our drinks, and only twice. The manager had to remove used plates as they were stacking up. Sorry to say that I would not recommend their Mother’s Day Brunch. Overpriced for what you get.

This review is not for O&O the restaurant because we eat there frequently and it’s always great, this is about the Mother’s Day meal. Very awkward set up to where we were seated, did not see a waitress for ~10 minutes until we ask if we were just supposed to get our food and we were told no you have a waitress. The person came over, took our drink order and we proceeded to go up to the buffet. There was very little food left in the bins and it was all lukewarm at best. We did go up about 20 min after our 1st trip up to see if food had been replenished and it had not, and the items that were there were again barely warm. When we were ~3/4 of the way through our meal, our drinks showed up, never saw the waitress again (until we stood up to walk out). We didn’t drink any alcohol so we really paid ~280 dollars for cold eggs Benedict, cold scrambled eggs, bricks of cold stuck together bacon, luke warm potato’s, fatty prime rib and shrimp cocktail with no cocktail sauce, plus 2 kids to eat cold waffles with only whip cream as the syrup was empty as well. Fail.

Very good dinner, drinks, service and ambience. Everything is cooked fresh so be prepared for a bit of wait. It’s worth it though.

This is a very special place! The cocktails and wine list are amazing, the menu unique and every dish at our table was outstanding! The flavors in the rockfish, the tenderloin cooked to perfection, the goat tostada, and those roasted oysters! Great for a special occasion, worth a trip to Webster Grove!

The service was great and the dining experience was appropriately paced; the staff were all very friendly. The cheese curds were phenomenal, the best I’ve ever had—the light buttery batter was perfect. I had the gaucho steak and my wife had the beef tenderloin, both were cooked perfectly and were delicious. The thing I really appreciated was the kids menu for my daughter. There were several options and she loved it. We will be back!

We’ve been coming here for awhile now and our experiences keep getting worse and worse. Our server this time unfortunately was rude and didn’t smile at us (I think she was upset that we didn’t order entrees, so our check wasn’t that high?). Food is consistently good, even if it slow at times.

This upscale restaurant has it all. Beautiful surroundings for a dining experience offering delicious and unique craft cocktails to enjoy with lots of tasty appetizers including fresh oysters prepared multiple ways, and we enjoyed them all, although the Buffalo oysters were my favorite! Entrees included a perfectly grilled flank steak and The Dip. Save room for the Cloud cake…a coconut cream delight ♥️ Outstanding service, too, from Sam😊. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

Jacqueline was absolutely fantastic and the Beef tartar delicious. Steak was blah and not tender. Not the quality of meat that it should've been for $100. The fishy smell from various tables was disconcerting. Not the delicious seafood smell, but rather something is off sort of way. Previous visit was great, so hopefully this was just a bad night.

It well may have been the company I was dining with but the whole vibe was phenomenal. Our waiter, Sam, was very in tune to our vibe, made amazing suggestions and was very attentive but not intrusive - loved him. The food was amazing - perfectly portioned particularly for us to share - we split fried oysters and roasted - delicious!! Then split the rabbit crepe and the duck breast - chef kiss! And the desserts were perfect! We again split the hot fudge pudding cake and by Sam’s suggestion, the butterscotch pot de crème- AMAZING and perfect to share! Thank you!

First I want to say this place was highly recommended to me by a Chef friend. I booked a large reservation for a business dinner and they accommodated my request when I needed to increase the number of people twice. When we arrived the ambiance was perfect, but…the minute we walked through the door I felt like they were upset that we were a large party. I was greeted with oh ok follow me. We all think the waiter was high and he had no help. It took over an hour to finally get our appetizers. We had to keep asking for drink refills and he didn’t attempt to take entree orders until I forced it. We were there 3 1/2 hour’s!!! The front of the house manager should have noticed right off the bat that something was wrong. My clients were ready to leave and by the end of the night it felt more like a chore than a treat.

Fantastic! We all enjoyed every course. I wanted a special place to take some friends who were in town. One of them said her salad was the best salad she’s ever had in her life - and she’s a vegetarian! Everything was really wonderful.

As usual a wonderful experience. We had a reservation for 10 and we were seated promptly and service from Tammy was excellent. She was very attentive and excellent at handling our food allergies. Thank you for making a great experience for our group!

We wanted to impress out of town guests without going to a too snobby stuffy place. Olive and Oak made a wonderful impression and left us all with some nice leftovers and beautiful memories.

We were so excited to see the new location and great food! Sadly, It wasn’t what we hoped for at all. It was too loud to permit conversation at a 4-top, unless we shouted at each other, and then we gave up mainly because the people next to us were literally a foot away and so loud. Food was mediocre to disappointing. I had the goat meat balls that were bland. There were no inviting gluten-free dishes so my friend had to choose a salad. Two others said their meals were ‘just ok’. Dessert-wise the coconut cake was divine. So skip the meal and have the cake. Also, waitstaff were great.

Our server was amazing. We celebrated my husband's birthday and he wanted a nice meal including our 2 small children. Our server accommodated every request we had and ensured my husband felt special with a birthday "dessert" cocktail. Truly wonderful dinner!

It was our anniversary. We were well tended to, food was divine, and the house brought out some champagne for us to celebrate with. Not only this, the lovely woman beside us after good dinner chit chat opted to pay for our meal. Unprompted and unprecedented. The heart symbol present at Olive & Oak clearly runs from kitchen to table to soul as proven by this gesture. Thank you for a lovey night

Kitchen Service was very slow this visit. The food was good overall, but some items were not as outstanding as in earlier visits. We will continue to return tho & see what happens.

We visited during the Vegan Chef Challenge, though we didn't know what the vegan options would be ahead of time. Apparently they always have some, but their menu changes so often that they don't have them posted online. We had the Crispy Sweet Potato Saag, the fried Brussels sprouts, Sweet Pea Hummus and Beet Carpacio. The saag wasn't really saag; instead of a smooth spinach sauce, it featured (delicious) chopped collard greens. The basmati with gigantic beans was good, but we didn't expect the sweet potato to be deep fried; it was more batter than sweet potato. It was good, but not nearly as good as the other dishes we tried. The carpacio has a vegan horseradish aioli and comes with pickled blueberries, which may sound a little odd but the combination was spectacular. I loved it. The Brussels sprouts were the perfect texture--not mushy but charred and delicious. The dish also featured potatoes; sprouts + potatoes, perfectly cooked = a sure winner. The Sweet Pea Hummus was served with radishes, carrots, cucumbers and pita wedges, and topped with charred green onions--spectacular. My non-vegan husband had the gaucho steak, on our server's recommendation, and I think he nearly licked his plate. All in all a delicious meal; it will become our go-to celebration spot.
