I watched a review as I was researching St. Louis. O + O did not disappoint, from the oysters, mocktails, unique apps, to the well prepared Ribeye set against a contemporary backdrop...LOVED IT!!!!

Lovely restaurant and excellent food. The ambience is great — open and airy, with excellent lighting and reasonable noise levels. We particularly enjoyed the blue crab gratin and steak tartare appetizers, and our dinners (a dip sandwich, beef tenderloin, baked clams) were all delicious and beautifully presented. That said, we had a significant (well over 45 minute) delay in getting our entrees (and to a lesser extent our desserts) — not sure why. We were told that “something will be done” to make up for that — which was evidently a complimentary dessert in addition to the two we’d already ordered. (Had we known we’d be getting another, we’d only have ordered one!) Though the delay was a little frustrating, we’ll definitely be going back!

An excellent dinner- we've wanted to check out Olive + Oak since we moved to the area and were excited to finally experience a delucious meal this evening. Very friendly, attentive service and amazing food all around. I was a big fan of my #31 cocktail (highly recommended), and the taste and texture of the cheese curds were great on ther own before being enhanced by charred scallion aioli. I spent some time deciding which entree to order, but I'd honestly imagine you can't go wrong - I decided on the chicken crepe and my fiancée chose the beef tenderloin. I'd recommend both and look forward to exploring the other dishes Olive + Oak have to offer. If you're looking for a nice evening out in the STL Metro or searching for food options on a trip put of town, take this into consideration. We'll definitely be back.

I definitely don’t want to say anything bad about O&O, overall it was good. Just not as good as our first visit. Service was fine, nothing outstanding. Drinks came out much faster this time. We each got an appetizer to share. The crab au gratin, hummus and tar tare. Personally the crab was meh but my guests enjoyed it. The pretzel bread you put it on was fantastic and found myself eating that without the dip. The hummus was good. The tar tare was nice. Honestly would not get any of those again. The oysters were good. The best was the fire roasted and although my favorite oyster I’ve ever eaten was the fried was not the same. The buffalo sauce was lacking and did not blow me away like the first time. One of my guests got the west coast raw and loved them. Our mains were nothing to special. Thought my cod could have been cooked just a minute longer and whatever they put on top was not good. Filet was cooked perfectly and the clam dish was unusual but good. We did not get bread service which was disappointing and the server was fine but not very personable. Probably won’t be excited to go back, had been really looking forward to it.

No body of four was overly impressed with their meal. Tall ceiling makes the acoustics of the restaurant too loud to carry on a normal conversation to be heard well. Not impressed to come back.
