Olive and Ira's is advertised as "Fine America Fare" and "Chic and elegent." This is hyperbole. It is casual - not fine - American dining as is the ambience. The menu is very short as is the wine list. The hostess was unspeakably surly and rude. We almost walked out at that point.

We stopped in for dinner prior to going to our show at the Orpheum Theater. It was perfect. Nice and close and dinner was delicious. We would definitely go back again.

We both had the blackened salmon meal, the seasoning was delicious and sweet potatoes were not overly sweet. Unfortunately they ran out of brussels sprouts and had to substitute asparagus which was a disappointment. The waiter realized our disappointment and sweetened the situation with a dessert to share. We loved the vibe and how convenient it was to the Orpheum. Will definitely give it another try.

The food was superb. The “Power Salad” I ate was ample, had a good variety of vegetables, and the grilled chicken added lightly seasoned protein. My wife enjoyed her salmon and thought the sweet potato purée was excellent. Staffing seemed inadequate, so don’t be in a hurry. But they were attentive and charming. We were seated near the bar, which was crowded and noisy. The menu is short, but has a nice variety and is delicious. We started with the hummus and our wine was also excellent.

Restaurant was short staffed but our server was really friendly & trying. Dinner came out before our appetizers, I think they may have forgotten them. Offerings were limited because of the show at the Orpheum theater. We had 2 chicken Alfredos, shrimp Alfredo and the Smash burger - all were really good. Go early if you want to eat before show starts at 7:30!

Waitstaff was wonderful as was our food. It was nice to have a quick breakfast by the fireplace before checking out of the hotel and continuing our travel.

Great steak salad! Smoked old fashioneds in front of the fireplace was perfect! Very nice waitress with efficient service!
