Le restaurant Old Vines est un lieu de rencontre d'ingrédients locaux frais. Notre sélection de plats met en valeur le style léger, frais et fruité et riche des vins de Quails' Gate.     The Stewart Family Proprietors' Dining Room is adjacent to our Wine Tasting Room and offers seating for up to 32 guests. This technically equipped facility is an exceptional venue for private, corporate, or family events as well as wine-related tours. The window surrounded dining room provides a spectacular view of the vineyard and Lake Okanagan. Guests can enjoy the late day breeze of Okanagan Lake from the terrace balcony off the private dining room. Our Quails' Gate wines, hand-crafted by Grant Stanley, are available along with a choice of group menu options which reflect the fresh regional cuisine of our Executive Chef, Roger Sleiman.

                                                            An excellent dining experience. Amazing ambience with views of the vines, the lake and the hills beyond. Had the 2014 Syrah. Was drinking beautifully with definitely a few more years in it. Our server Nathan was knowledgeable about the food and wine and provided good suggestions. One aspect that could be improved was the reception. The lady could have been more warm and welcoming. Reception was a small part of the experience and our overall 5* rating reflects it.

                                                            Beautiful setting. Very, very, very slow and inattentive service. Be prepared to wait a long time to order and to receive your food. Order your wine before you order your food. Our appetizer came before our wine. Only getting the manager to help got us wine, house Chardonnay. And the pour was hardly anything, not 5 ounces! The entrees when they finally came were very good, at $ 45 each. So go for the setting. But don’t be in a hurry and expect to spend two hours for dinner.

                                                            The food was fabulous, they were training and we had a great time with the training server. It was a fabulous evening with my partner and my parents.

                                                            The ambiance and view is great. The grounds to wonder around were wonderful. The wine was overpriced. I believe bread should be included at a restaurant not an item for which you pay. My husband’s Cornish hen was good and came with plenty of vegetables but my lamb came with a few overcooked mushrooms and few vegetables. Our appetizer soup was good. At times the restaurant was extremely noisy to the point we could not hear one another. Overall found it pricey for what we got.

                                                            Spectacular meal & ambience - never has Old Vines disappointed us. Visiting from Edmonton and always make a date here. Our server Amy went above & beyond to assist and answer any of our questions. She helped us select an amazing bottle of wine from the library and we LOVED every sip. Ling cod & pork chop were both amazing dishes!! Our appie of burrata & asparagus was lovely too but could have used just a pinch of sea salt or sprinkle of lemon zest to bring out flavor. Thanks OV!!

                                                            Bison burger and crab risotto were very good. The herb emulsion with the risotto was very tasty. Rice cooked perfectly. Only complaint was the crab was a bit dry. Our server Lauren was excellent! She was friendly and very attentive. The staff in general all seemed very happy, which makes for a very good experience! Thank you!

                                                            My son and I had a table booked for 7.00 pm. We like the wine and the food at Quails Gate winery and were looking for a nice dinner experience. On arrival, we asked if we could sit on the patio and received the table in about 10 minutes. My son ordered a soup and we both ordered the main course. The soup came first, then we waited for about 50 minutes. Two tables near us received their meal, even though they arrived 15-20 minutes after we were seated. Around 8.00 pm I asked what happened to our meal. The answer was that the kitchen enters the order for the main meal after we received the soup because that is the process. Even if that was normal procedure, we were never informed that we have to wait over an hour if we order a soup or appetizer. I believe they missed our order and only entered it when I asked for it. Then they lied to us instead of being honest. The waiter was instructed to give us free desert and coffee, which I refused. The winery dinner experience was all ruined, when the food finally arrived around 8.30 pm. I consider this experience very unfortunate, however we still have a high regard of this winery and restaurant. Hopefully just an isolated incident.
