Créé en 1868, le steakhouse classique Old Homestead Steakhouse de Gotham est situé dans le quartier ultra chic de Meat Packing. Le restaurant a noué des rapports étroits avec les bouchers, afin d'obtenir un boeuf de premier choix. Vous apprécierez toujours une viande âgée de qualité. Got the best seat in the house, Luis was fantastic and super accommodating. I think we were just about the last people to leave, we had such a good time.

Great food! Everything was awesome. There was a table that were speaking to loud and we ask told the waiter nothing was done but overall food was excellent

My son recommended The Old Homestead and it did not disappoint! Our server, Iris was a total delight and the food was perfection!

The overall manager plus Albanian chef were rude and didn’t care sh*t about their client(s) The Mexican waiter did his best to make our dinner reasonable. The noise was horrendous. Coming from Europe doesn’t mean your people can uninterested and horrible rude. They seems to forget that it’s the client(s) who pay their salaries!! Overall for sure I will advise and share my experience with them. Never again !! I will visit any of these steakhouses !

Food was decent - ordered prime rib and 40 day aged rib. Steaks were well cooked, however no trace of any age flavor. Service was surprisingly poor. We were the last seating, we arrived at 8:40 for an 8:30 reservation. From the moment we arrived, the man at the front desk (in a suit) was rushed and visibly irritated. We had two servers - Louis B and a bald gentleman (“Server B”). Server B was exceptionally rude and unprofessional, at a level I have never seen in my 9 years living in New York. From there on: 1) Service was rushed, with servers pressuring us to order (despite last order at 9pm). 2) Servicers were visibly irritated when we asked for anything such as salt. When I asked for mustard and steak sauce arrived instead, I tried saying something, and the servicer simply walked away in a hurry (ostensibly not hearing me because he walked away so quickly). This was Server B. 3) Placement of the dishes was haphazard. We ordered the clams for an appetizer, the server came up and placed the dish at the corner of the table, without saying anything to us, asking whose it was or putting in the center. This was Server B. Overall, the food was at par with a middle of the road New York steakhouse such as Wolfgang’s, however, with surprisingly poor service. Given the competitive nature of New York’s steak scene, I am surprised there is market demand for such a category of steakhouse.

Outstanding place to have dinner with the family. The food and service was excellent. You have to ask to have Henry as your waiter. He made an enjoyable dinner even better!!

The steak I had for the first time in New York was so delicious. The quality of the meat was good and the service was good. The conversation humour that is very nice is also enjoyable.

Food was fantastic. Employees are friendly but to affectionted to the customers. I was eating my meal and employee talked to me while I was cheewing my food. As per our opinion a gratuity of 18% not worth. We wanted to give 20.00 USD gratuity and the employee said that this is less than 18% and they suggest to give 18%. Then we gave them their 18% but its very rude to expect such things from customer. Its our decision if service is 18% worth or not. Never again :)

We were excited to bring our out of town friend to old homestead since she wanted a New York steak house experience. While the food was pretty good our waiter was the worst. He was no help in discussing wine and when I asked about a sommelier he said he was the person to talk to. Then when I asked about a particular wine he pointed to the iPad and told me to click on the description. When we asked him what he recommended on the extensive steak menu he said “anything”. He was surly and awkward and the service was just awful. It definitely marred what we hoped would have been a lovely experience.
