Equal parts rustic and refined, Old 290 Brewery & Restaurant combines Hill Country craft beer with hearty, Texas-inspired cuisine. Our gastropub style restaurant emphasizes fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, along with our craft beer and our award-winning wines from Carter Creek Winery. My husband and I sat outside on the patio for Mother's Day brunch. The atmosphere was wonderful. The food was great! Our server, Adam, was very nice and attentive. Highly recommend this place for a day trip in wine country.

Not your typical restaurant. Definitely can not judge a book by its cover. The menu is simple but satisfying in each bite. The staff is friendly, inviting and make you feel as if you’re old friends. At first take i was unsure but was surprised by the outcome. Top notch all around

Our server, David was very attentive and personable. We enjoyed our conversation with him. He made sure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious. It was a quiet evening

It took over 10 minutes to be seated, with a reservation. It took over 45 minutes to get food for four people, and one order was incorrect. It also took 15-20 minutes to get the bill after it was requested. One order was a biscuits and gravy, and three were the hill country scramble. We stayed for almost 2 hours to wait to be served and pay to leave.

We did the red flight which was very good even included a port. Our favorites were the Maverick and the group therapy and we had the chicken sandwich was the best chicken sandwich. I’ve ate in a long time it was fabulous. It taste was great. It was good size was marvelous, and the sweet potato fries were very very good, good service

Our dinner on the patio was very nice. The weather was perfect. The food was tasty. I would have given a higher rating however we barely had our appetizer and sips of wine when the salads arrived then main entree’s. It felt rushed and our table didn’t have room for our wine tasting, appetizers, salad plates and main entrees. The server tried taking our appetizer to make room but we weren’t finished yet. Maybe the kitchen can time things better in the future. We will give it another try when in the area.

Great dinner had my family out they said best meal in Texas so far. Marshall was a great server.

The food was amazing and David was our waiter and he was spectacular, very attentive to all our needs. He made our experience so amazing and definitely planning to return. 👍🏽👍🏽
