Oda House Offers authentic Georgian cuisine and natural wines. A liberal use of spices, kebabs, khinkali (oversized meat-and-cheese dumplings), mtsvadi, khachapuri (Georgian cheese bread) and adjaruli (Cheese boat) typify the kitchen’s preparations. But, more classic dishes may reveal satsivi, or boiled chicken, served cool in a warmly spiced and seasoned walnut sauce, accompanied by gomi. Oda House uses mostly fresh and organic ingredients sourced from local farms. Menu has plenty of vegan and Gluten-free choices.
Maia Acquaviva, managing partner and executive Chef of Oda House, brings Georgian cuisine and a dose of Georgian culture and pride to NY. The passion she had from an early age to cook blossomed. Maia said, “Words cannot fully express how grateful I am for the opportunities that have been presented to me.” Her life motto is: If you want something with all your heart, the entire universe mobilizes around you to make your wishes come true!

My group of four had mixed opinions about Oda House and the “devil is in the details”. My personal experience with the food was complicated by the fact that I like to try new foods. Sometimes, I just don’t like something, but I try not to let it affect my judgement. My Phkhali Trio appetizer was not presented as shown in the photo. However, this was form and not substance. The photo shows multiple small portions of each item, but there was one large of each. I found it a bit dry, but otherwise interesting. My Oda House special of salmon and mushrooms was quite good although (what appeared to be a balsamic vinegar drizzle sort of spoiled it for me – I’m not a great fan of balsamic vinegar. The two women at the table each ordered two appetizers instead of a main. Each ordered the Chvishtari balls and one the Khinkali while the other order the Zhulien Kinkali. This created a service issue – see below. They both found the dumplings unsatisfactory – the “stems” were inedible and the Chvishtari were rather dry and tasteless. Of note, the menu is presented via a tablet making it difficult to read, if one wants to compare dishes. There is a charge for bread, which is not listed on the menu. As for service, it was friendly, but needs to be better organized. Due to misunderstanding, only one portion of the Chvistari was brought and we had to make two requests before we got the second portion. We asked twice for butter, which we never got. After our main courses were finished, we sat for what I estimate to be about half an hour before our dishes were taken away and we were asked about desert. We didn’t opt for desert and appreciated the opportunity to converse among ourselves without being rushed, but the time to clear the dishes was far too long. We were not asked about or offered refills of water – there was initially one bottle of (tap) water on the table. At the end of the meal, the bill is presented with a 3% fee for the use of a credit card. To be fair, at least it’s

This is an excellent restaurant with delicious food and beverages. Mia and tram gave great recommendations and we were happy with all our food. Love the ambience and we could enjoy conversation! Many thanks and see you again:)

Food and drinks were pretty good, service was alright and the actual restaurant is cute and convenient for me. I’ve had better Georgian food I think but this was pretty solid

We were on time for our reservation at 7:30 Took our wine order at 8:30 and were served dinner at 9:15. Very poor service

Service needs improvement (Bartender and Server were great). Appetizers were served quite quickly, but our main (only one dish) took a 1/2 hour to arrive (after we chased). During that 1/2 hour, no one checked on us. It was a Friday night, and it was busy. Maybe need to readjust / train staff to ensure better service

We ate on the early side - 7PM and had our pick of rooms. The back room provided a quieter place to talk . The food was hearty and flavorful. We lingered talking for a long time and the waitstaff didn’t hurry us out.
