We had not eaten at Oceanaire in many years due to a bad experience. We decided to go for Mother’s Day and had a delightful experience. Food was very good, their crab cakes are exceptional and our waiter made the meal exceptional by pacing our meal just right! We will add Oceanaire back to our dining list!

Not that good, nothing was great. Fry calamari was more jañapaneo than calamari and heavy breading. Clam chowder maybe a little better than a canned soup. Any how after 25 years not what it used to be probably our last time there.

This was the second time in a month that I was at this restaurant. Both times the AC was not sufficient and the room temperature was uncomfortable. My wife’s dish was inedible. She sent it back and the second effort was not any better.

My family and I visited to celebrate my mine and my sister’s birthdays. We truly enjoyed the food, service and ambience. I love the shrimp and grits and I chose the Chicken Fried Lobster, which was Magnifico!!! Cudos to the chef!!! I also indulged in the Baked Alaska and that too was marvelous!

Normally everything here is outstanding. However, this trip it was overly hot and stuffy in the restaurant making it uncomfortable (my husband was sweating profusely). And we received a beverage glass with lipstick stains on the rim. Not what we expected considering the price increases. Our meal/drinks was $100 more than it used to be for the exact same meal drink choices and we no longer get the bread and relish tray! Talk about nickel and dime-ing your high end customers! Our total meal was almost $500 before tip and we were going to be charged for the bread and relish tray??? No thank you! We used to recommend and between the price increases, the nickel and dime-ing and the lack of attention to detail (temperature and served in dirty glassware) we no longer can recommend.

Food and service were outstanding, as always! Our service was attentive and the general manager Lisa was amazing as always. However, there was something wrong with the AC so we were VERY HOT during dinner. In retrospect, fans would have helped. We could tell the difference inside the restaurant vs the outside part as soon as you get out into the mall area. I will need confirmation that the AC is fixed before we make our next reservation. Thanks.

Lovely evening in all regards. Oceanaire is the go to place for celebrations. Personalized menu, champagne toast and dessert. Everyone loved the food and our server was fantastic

Our server, whose name I cannot remember due to the excellent wine we had, was excellent. She was very friendly and efficient and she had a great personality. Food was excellent.

Oceanaire remains a favorite spot but man it is hard! We were seated, and then waited about 10 - 12 minutes for a greet and drink order to be taken. Then the drink was wrong, needed to be remade. The oysters were delicious, the halibut was lovely - just wish the service matched. Is it a training problem, is it management? So many people running around and service is SO lacking!

Unfortunately, one item - the gumbo was not good. No seafood in the gumbo- just broth. Not a good value.

We have dined here in the past, and we always left feeling like “That was great!” This time, not so much. When we arrived, we were asked if sitting upstairs would be ok. We could not because a member of our party was using a walker and there are no elevators. Even though we had a reservation, it took quite awhile for the hostesses to decide where to place us. Our server was good; he just didn’t seem like he had developed the finesse of serving in a fine dining establishment. Two members of our party ordered the Maine lobsters. When they arrived, they were not cut open at all. We had to ask for crackers to crack the shell and had to ask for others because the first pair weren’t very good. When another entree was served, the fork that was speared into the lemon must’ve hit something and went flying into a member of our party. The person who brought out the dish didn’t apologize; he simply picked up the lemon off the floor and left. We were told to visit the hostess desk when we left to get our parking validated for a $5 discount (the servers wouldn’t take care of it for us); there was no one there. One of the servers who told us to go to the hostess desk ended up validating the parking tickets for us. The food was good, but the experience just felt lackluster compared to other times.

John was great. It looked like our section was short handed so we had some significant delays in our service. The FOH manager came by to give us my wife’s espresso martini we had asked for it to have baileys but he advised multiple times that was a “different espresso martini”. We left disappointed overall.

Our Saturday night at Oceanaire was nothing short of exceptional, beginning the moment we entered. The welcoming hostess seated us in a charming spot at the back, offering a full view of the exquisitely decorated restaurant. We embarked on a culinary journey starting with a dozen oysters from various Northeastern regions, each one a delight. The clam chowder was a savory masterpiece, brimming with meaty clams and a perfect consistency. Simultaneously, the chopped house green salad showcased an ideal balance of flavors, leaving us both yearning for seconds. The pinnacle of the evening arrived with the Chilean sea bass accompanied by risotto. The sea bass was flawlessly cooked, and we couldn't resist cleaning our plates of the delectable risotto. To conclude the evening on a high note, we indulged in the "Baked Alaska" dessert, accompanied by a fabulous tableside firework show. The temptation to order a second (or perhaps a third) was real. However, what truly elevated our experience was our impeccable server, who navigated the evening with perfection. Needless to say, Oceanaire has earned a well-deserved spot at the top of our shortlist for a return visit.
