Oakmont Food Company is a Central Austin Neighborhood restaurant. Offering all-day dining with coffee and daily pastries, lunch and dinner options, and craft cocktails. Inside and Patio seating is available. Some of the customer favorites created by Chef Adam Muehling include the Cuban Sandwich, White Bean Hummus, Short Rib Philly and the Blackberry and Jalapeño Baby back ribs. Oakmont Food Company offers a Brunch on Saturday until 1 and Sundays all day. Oakmont has a cocktail list for any time or day of the week.

On a recent visit to Austin, we decided to check out Oakmont Food Company, based on existing OpenTable reviews and were excited to see what they had to offer. We arrived about 5:15 and the place was nearly empty. We sat at the bar and ordered a round of drinks - I had the "Strawberry Fields" and she had the "Lavendar Martini" - both drinks were EXQUISITE. They make "Strawberry Fields" with strawberry and simple syrup and it does an excellent job of producing a refreshing Gin drink. We then ordered an appetizer - beer cheese pretzel and a salad. While the pretzel was good, it was nothing exquisite. The salad was heavy on lettuce and for some reason packed with hidden jalapeños (something to know if you dont like spicy food). We ordered the "stuffed chicken" as our main entree - and again while it was a decent portion and an ok meal, it was nothing special. Again, quite a bit spicy for our tastes but all in all a decent meal. Overall this place is "decent" and there is nothing "wrong" with it, but the photos and the online reviews make it sound like a 5 STAR executive chef is behind the grill, which I do not believe to be the case. The prices are a little high for the 'average' level of food, but the atmosphere and the service are good. All in all, I would give this place about a 7 out of 10. Not terrible, just nothing that was overly impressive.

I absolutely love Oakmont! Their food is delicious every time. My favorite things to get are the breakfast plate, gluten free pancakes, and the redfish. It’s great when you can tell the staff actually likes each other and gets along. Oakmont has become a staple for me and my partner.

The two waitresses were fantastic. The food was delicious and the lunch was really enjoyable. The place was packed!

Overall we had a great experience! The reservation was for 14. When we first arrived to the restaurant, they had us set up at two separate tables of seven, which was not ideal. Since the restaurant was pretty empty, they were able to move us to the side room where our entire party was able to sit together, and we really appreciated that! The food was delicious and the value was fantastic! My partner and I paid for three drinks, three starters, and two entrées, and the total was only $100.

We had a semi-private room for 16 people and had an awesome experience. The service was great, drinks were good and affordable, and the restaurant was beautiful. I will definitely be back!

Food was just okay. Not very flavorful & no one particularly enjoyed their dish. Waitress was great though. Very nice and attentive.
