This was my second experience at Nzuko and this time I brought my family and it did not disappoint! The Carribean meze platter is top tier; Conch Fritters are a must try and the rum cake and and loukoumades are excellent! I can’t decide my favorite ! The lamb shank is perfect and my new favorite drink is the Palm Wine Martini! I’ll definitely be back!

Great menu and fun vibe. When we sat down the place was not half full. We ordered drinks and dinner which were received in a timely manner. Very good dinners, although the shrimp dish was very spicy and not noted. As the restaurant began to fill up, the staff seemed to become quickly overwhelmed. No one ever checked on us again. We had to flag people down for water, to order dessert (which never came). Finally we asked for the check. The server apologized, blaming the kitchen. Said dessert was on the house but still charged us. Great potential but a terrible dining experience.

What a pleasant surprise! A restaurant run by northern African culinary experts- amazing food taste and presentation! We eat so much that we have to go for a walk along the river side (charles river next to it)

We went for our first time on a Saturday night, and found the restaurant mostly full of what seemed to be locals, which is usually a good sign. The two of us shared a (large) "Meze from the Garden" plate (and took about 1/3 of it home), and then had the Kofta kebabs and the Jerk Chicken as main courses. We enjoyed both, but the Jerk Chicken was particularly good. My wife had a nice red wine, and I had a nice draft IPA. We will definitely go back ...

Wow. Mind. Blown. I chose this place as an in between meeting place for dinner with a a dear friend who was visiting Needham from out of town. We live in Somerville and I don’t know about much outside of here, Cambridge & Boston. When I saw that Nzuko got good reviews, I took a look at the menu & saw Caribbean Mediterranean and was immediately intrigued. What a surprise that this place far exceeded my expectations and made me tell everyone at work the next day that they must try it. From the delicious food, to the gorgeous decor & setting, yet humble, attentive and warm service, made me feel like I was being hosted at a friend’s home. We started with the plantains & chicken wings appetizers. My husband and I both ordered the Jerk Chicken and our friend ordered the Lamb Shank. The portions are generous and the flavors are amazing. We finished off the meal with the Rum Cake (recommended by Mika, our trusty server) & the Loukoumades, both, which were super yummy. I have been thinking of this meal over the past several days and cannot wait to go back to try more. Highly recommend this special joint. Wish they would open somewhere closer to us, but it’s totally worth the travel. Thank you, Nzuko, for making a special evening that much more memorable. 🫶😋

Fantastic experience in a neighborhood gem that took us far in every way: delicious and exciting food and drinks, caring and cool service, quiet ambiance. Simply lovely and we can’t wait to go again !!

Nzuko is a hidden gem! Obi and the staff are great hosts, the food is excellent, and the space is modern, artfully designed, and comfortable. I highly recommend paying them a visit.

Food was delicious! It was a quiet Monday night, but there was oddly no music or light background music so it was eerily quiet at times. The service was OK. When we got the check, there was 25% gratuity already included thought we only had 5 people in our party. Typically a) I see added gratuity for parties of 6; b) we are notified in advance of the added gratuity; and c) 25% is high for gratuity. 20% would have been more reasonable.

The food was absolutely delicious. Well flavored and very fresh. It was a very quiet Sunday so it’s hard to judge how noisy it would be, but the service was attentive, and atmosphere light and airy. I’d definitely go back, even though it’s a half hour drive for me to get there .

This is such a great hidden gem. The maze plates are fantastic and such a good value. They have a nice variety of cocktails. The staff is friendly and makes you feel right at home. I highly recommend.

Really amazing and unique food experience. Everything tasted so fresh and all of the flavors really complemented each other. The staff was super friendly, and the atmosphere was very calming. Will definitely be back to try other things on the menu!

Overall, a delicious meal. We were seated in an area where tables were very close together. We might as well have been dining with the people next to us, they were that close. It was hard to have a conversation and felt uncomfortable. The conch fritters and plantains were outstanding and went together nicely for our appetizers. The cocktails were also great, but they arrived after the appetizers. They got one of our main meals wrong, so it had to be sent back. Swordfish was a bit dry. The owner was wonderful, checked on us and very accommodating. Also gave me a taste of the Jerk chicken sauce so I could see how hot it was. It wasn’t over the top. And I’ll order it next time! Dessert was amazing. Can’t remember what they’re called, little dough balls served with doche de leche and vanilla ice cream. Well try it again to see if they’ve fixed a few glitches.

The food is delicious- expertly spiced and seasoned, cooked to perfection. I’ve been to Nzuko twice and have yet to be disappointed. The staff are friendly and attentive and the service is excellent. If she isn’t busy, the chef owner will visit your table - What a treat!

Best wings I’ve had. Flavorful, a little spicy and so juicy. Recommend the jerk chicken entree. Chicken fell off the bone.

Made a reservation for a business lunch and the restaurant never opened that day (at least not after waiting for 15 minutes for them). Total ghost town with the doors locked though so I can’t really tell you how the food is, but I can tell you to double check before thinking your reservation is confirmed……

This is a lovely place for intimate dining, with cozy tables and a great staff. The food is fresh, interesting, and delicious. The combination of tropical and Mediterranean really works. There are nice options of cocktails and non alcoholic drinks. Their key lime pie was a perfect closer, after some kebabs, plantains, and conch fritters.

An imaginative menu featuring both Caribbean and Mediterranean flavors. We had conch fritters and grape leaves for starters, a middle eastern salad, and the Chicken Kebabs and the swordfish. Everything was delicious, and the service was friendly and efficient. A lovely atmosphere, delicious food, and a family feeling to the service. We'll be back.

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed Nzuko. Obie and the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was excellent, including the plantains, hummus, and shrimp kabobs. The atmosphere was nice but the lights were a little too bright. Overall an awesome date night at Nzuko.

The food was excellent! We really enjoyed this fusion restaurant. I hope they continue to do well as everything we had (jerk chicken, mezze board and key lime pie) was delicious. Can’t wait to go back!
