We had a lovely meal on Saturday night, we went there because our Daughter and friends went on Friday and said the food was delicious and it was stunning! Nothing was any trouble for the staff and the cost was great! We had a Sunday lunch a couple of months ago and really enjoyed that but the food on Saturday was top quality, we’ll definitely be back x

We had a large group with some young children and the service was absolutely fantastic. The staff were brilliant with the kids - thank you so much. The food was gorgeous and great value as we were eating from the afternoon special menu. Would highly recommend to others!

All 3 of us pleasantly surprised to find such good food in Morpeth. Not a huge menu but vegetarian options were welcome. Reasonably priced, including wine. Would certainly recommend to others.

First visit and was very impressed with the food, service, presentation and value for money. Portion sizes were also generous and we thoroughly enjoyed our lovely lunch. Would absolutely recommend and would visit again next time we are in the area.

Service was outstanding. The meal/steak was beautifully prepared and cooked to our liking. However, it was slightly expensive.

Visited Townhouse a few times and found the experience good. Unfortunately this time it wasn’t. The negatives are, the restaurant was quite cold. My wife had ravioli as a starter, it was dry and without any real flavour or taste. Her main was fillet steak which was cooked to the level she wanted but was only warm and the side of chips were limp and cool too. I had scallops (3 very small ones) with belly pork for starters. The scallops were burnt on one side, the bottom side so hopefully wouldn’t be noticed. The one slice of belly pork was cut so thinly that there was no taste or texture as it was soaked in sauce. My main was pork ribeye (which I’d never heard of before) with belly pork and black pudding The pork ribeye was just overcooked to be on the dry side and the belly pork rind was just soggy fat with the pork very dry, the black pudding was overcooked and dry. The whole meal had been covered in sauce which left no taste of either cut of meat. Also not even warm in fact on the cool side. The positives were my wife’s sweet was okay, nothing special but the staff were extremely helpful and cheerful. One was a bit over the top with his comments on the quality of the food while serving it. Unfortunately the other negative was the £5 each deposit paid on booking wasn’t deducted from the bill. Which for the quality and quantity of the meal was over expensive.

Everything about our experience was great!! Service second to none. Food presentation was great and taste even better. Some unusual combinations - that just worked!! We will definitely be back! Highly recommended!
