At Our Table with Solo Diner Two women who left their long-time corporate jobs to pursue new careers in wines, Eunhee and Ren were connected by the algorithm and decided to join forces. Eunhee is a designer turned sommelier and content creator whose greatest joy is hosting events. Ren Peir (she/her) is a WSET-certified wine curator and educator with a special interest in building QTPOC community. Solo Diner is a Fil-Am Pop-up group by three Oxalis alumni, Kevin, Lem, and Adrian. Kevin and Adrian have both collaborated with Eunhee in past pop-ups separately, and they all decided to partner together again, this time to give back to the community. Proceeds will go to AAPI non profits.

Had high hopes for a good fusion of Korean and Spanish cuisines. But it felt underwhelming in almost every dish we had from the bread with nori butter, aquachile, country ham and tteok, and the braised oxtail. The nori butter was salty and the bread was less than not toasted well. The aguachile had such a fishy smell and taste that it was hard to eat. The tteok was a huge let down. A crispy rice cake with honey and ham, what could go wrong? Well, it just didn’t hit on the tastes and felt haphazardly put together. The oxtail was extremely salty and there wasn’t enough chile peppers to help mitigate, even with the rice. The nori rice was fantastic though. I would come back just for that.

Nudibranch has quickly become one of my favorites in NYC. It's beautiful and elegant ambiance paired with an exciting and interesting menu makes it the perfect date night spot of place to take friends visiting from out of town. I have brought so many friends here and it has never failed. Also with the extension of the wine bar next door its great to be able to grab a quick glass before or after dinner. Some of my favorites are the frog legs, uni soba, the oxtail, and the chicken sandwich. I couldnt recommend this place enough!!

The menu was expensive. We ordered several small plates as recommended by our server. The highlight was the seaweed butter, actually. The rest of the food was super SALTY. I'm sure there were some great flavors but they were totally obscured by the saltiness of the food. Is there another way to prepare the food that we ordered without frying it? The food was expensive for what it was. Add the taxi fare and it was a waste of money. The server was pleasant and knew the menu well. We won't be back.
