it was great! the Ceasar salad was spot on. Burger was great. Scallops just a little under done. the staff was wonderful and the complimentary car ride -perfect!

The buffet was a splendid meal in an elegant atmosphere. We enjoyed the large variety very much. The service was excellent and we enjoyed the music as well. Great experience!

I went for the Easter buffet, I was there shortly after it started. Most of the food was barely warm, the only thing I had that was actually hot was the omelet and that's because it was cooked to order. If they are going to charge $70 for a buffet they should make sure the food is staying hot. Definitely was not worth the $70.

We always enjoy ourselves whenever we eat here. Prime Rib was quiet as good as last time, but overall, the meal was still very good as always. One thing to note is that if you are using a GIFT CARD to pay for your meal, you CAN NOT USE IT TO COVER THE TIP. The server said she didn't understand it either but that they won't let the tip come off the Gift Card.

After reading other reviews and checking the menu on line, I was excited about this dinner as we drive west. Arrived a little early and were promptly seated with drink menus only. About 5 minutes later our waitress came by with the dinner menus and offered an explanation of the various selections. There were no specials. The steak sizes were large so we decided to share. Started with a ceasar salad which was ice cold, loaded with dressing and slightly browned on edges. parker house rolls were deliver in a nice hot iron pan. The server did not bring butter or bread plates. Our waitress came by and saw the situation and provided both. We order a medium 26 ounce Delmonico steak with mashed potatoes to share. A vegetable besides potato was extra. When the steak arrived the server brought the steak on a plate without a second which he then brought when we asked. We ordered Bernaise which also was not brought until we asked. The steak was charred on the outside but when we cut into the steak it was pretty much raw so we had to send back. The cut steak was refired and the center was pink as we wanted but the ends were well done. Our waitress was pleasant and apologized for the error as did a gentleman who came out from kitchen. We did not get dessert but were given 2 chocolate chip muffins to take with us (they were very good!) Now for the kicker - beef prices are high everywhere and we come from the NYC area so are used to high prices.- this steak and mashed potatoes was $79! I will say they were nice about us sharing the salad and entree and did not charge for that. So overall we were disappointed.

The Wife and I had an amazing time at the North 40 Chop house! The North 40 has it all, scrumptious food, amazing atmosphere, and a genius piano player. Our waitress was prompt, knowledgable, and never left our cups dry. Couldn't be happier with our experience!

Second visit. Ribeye is darn near perfect. Tenderness beyond the upscale chains. Well run fine dining establishment and experience in a place where you would not expect find it.

First time here and it was amazing. Our waitress kept our glasses full at all times. Food was delicious and tender. The atmosphere was just perfect. Once we are back in the area we will be returning.

This was our first visit to the North 40 Chophouse. This restaurant is by far one of the nicest facilities west of Grand Island. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. The manager greeted us and made us feel very welcome. The waitress was amazing. The steaks were out of this world good, both the dry and wet aged. We are looking forward to our next visit.

First time here since it went to a new owner. Last time we ate here it was called the Depot many many years ago. They didn’t have our reserved table ready for us so We did have a bit of a wait but they gave a complimentary glass of wine while waiting . Once seated it was a very pleasant experience. Food was great although very expensive . This is probably about the only true fine dining restaurant in North Platte, so it’s something we weren’t accustomed to so it was a unique experience. Waiter was polite and attentive. Steaks were cooked perfectly and of great size and taste. Atmosphere was great as the bar and restaurant are in different areas making dinner conversation possible unlike some places. Ambient music was at a proper level as well to allow for conversation ,tables were well spaced which was great as well. Great experience overall.

Dinner was really good. The bacon rack was delicious, I loved the crab and Brie bisque, the steaks were super tender! Yes the cost was a little high but no higher than you would expect from a steak place in Omaha or Denver.

The food was very very good!! The staff was friendly and attentive! Cloe was our server and she was great. Mark the GM, was also great! You won't have a small bill, but food and service are more than worth it.

We celebrated my daughters 33rd birthday. North 40 was her first choice in North Platte. Excellent food, ambience, and service. We frequent this outstanding restaurant often. Roads were snow covered and enjoyed their limo service to and from the restaurant.

Maybe we just got lucky based on some of the reviews but everything we ordered was amazing. The only thing we regretted was not spending the 5 extra bucks for the kind sized prime rib! Very expensive to say the least but we had absolutely nothing to complain about! We celebrated our anniversary here, it came with complementary wine and dessert! I would come here again, maybe next year or two because it’s so pricey, but worth the treat for a special occasion! 2 people -6 drinks total, 1 app both of us made our meat surf and turf. $360 including tip! So plan for expensive and amazing food!

Not my favorite. Very salty, mushy sides. Maybe I just don’t like aged steaks. The filet was good though. Hoped off the highway to check it out because it had a 4.7. The wait staff was wonderful though.
