The mission of the Norfolk Seafood Company is to bring tasty seafood to locals and tourists, minus the trip to the Oceanfront. Weren’t ready to seat us when we arrived at Our reservation time. Drinks and oysters were good but never ate our meal because the kitchen was taking to long and we had tickets to a show. They comped us the drinks and oysters which was a nice gesture but we won’t be coming back. Really Put a damper on an evening out that we had planned for months for my wife’s birthday

First time there. Nice atmosphere, no tshirts or loud people. Crab bisque was full of crabmeat. Wife’s salmon was cooked medium rare as ordered. NC oysters were delicious and one extra on my half-dozen order. Chocolate mousse dessert very good. Drinks were good. Service was efficient, not over-bearing. We will return.

I took my daughter out for dinner before her Senior Prom as she recently broke up with her boyfriend. It was a nice, quiet meal with great service - she was in good spirits to go to the Prom.

Went for Mother’s Day with my husband and daughter. We arrived earlier than our reservation but were seated promptly downstairs. Nice rustic atmosphere. Our server was Sara and she was professional, attentive and friendly. All three of us ordered the special margarita and it was lovely. We also ordered the lobster empanadas and a plate of oysters. The empanadas were tasty but with the spices the meat filling could have been anything, my companions were disappointed with the oysters. They were on the smaller size and had a bit too much bread crumbs. We each ordered a cup of soup, both the she crab and the chowder were delicious. I was full at that point but my husband ordered the jambalaya and said it was good and the daughter ordered the crab cake which she enjoyed as well. I did order my Mother’s Day complimentary dessert to go and it was a nice treat later that evening. We had a nice time and will come again

Our waitress was wearing a mask and very difficult to understand. She was not friendly. Things were done incorrectly. She brought us the wrong food. Our food came before our drinks. The table next to us left without eating (furious) and the food was not good, dry and old tasting. I would not go to this restaurant again.

I had a great Mother’s Day. The service was great. The food was great and the server he was so patient and it’s so clean and it smells clean inside.

This is the perfect place for a date night in downtown Norfolk. From the time you walk through the door, it's an amazing experience.

Great food! Our dining experience with Norfolk Seafood & Oyster Bar was exceptional! The entire menu from appetizer to entree to dessert was extremely delicious! An amazing day was had by all simply because the food was indeed that good! We will be back!
