    Wine lady was great. Accommodated our ask to swap tables because we were cold/it was windy outside. Warm goat cheese was a standout, so was the fried chicken.

    Too noisy. Could not atty on a conversation. Crowded so service while ok was not as prompt as we would have hope. But staff was pleasant and good ok.

    We have been here many times, but this visit was really below par for this otherwise wonderful restaurant. The evening started off well, with good service and delicious apps (Wood Baked Beans and the Warm Goat Cheese-both great), some wine and a cocktail. After the plates were cleared, we waited for *at least* 20 minutes for our entrees of fried chicken, the pork chop and the tagliatelle. At no time did our waiter reappear to update us, or ask if wanted more wine while waiting. When the food finally arrived, it was only 2 of the entrees. My fried chicken was overcooked, but the pork chop was fine. The tagliatelle arrived about 5 minutes! later. It tasted fine. Finally came the side of cauliflower, which was totally undercooked and nearly inedible- avoid it!. Again, no waiter to apologize or offer a glass of wine or whatever. Inexcusable for a restaurant of this quality, I truly hope this was a one-off, but I am in no hurry to go back to see. I hope others had a better experience, as we were truly disappointed.

    Epic meal! Warm Goat Cheese crostinis, Trout, Fresh stone fruit, Meatballs, French fries with basil Parmesan aioli, and for our entrees we loved the Pork Chop - wow so ridiculously tender and juicy! We have never had a pork chop like that in our lives anywhere! The burger was great, the fried chicken, the pasta, and broccoli were perfect. The staff Victor and Margot were so kind and perfect and worked as a team so well! They helped each other and it was refreshing to see kindness and respect!

    Not the Nopa I remember from years ago. Overpriced food, very loud and the absolute smallest wine pours I’ll ever seen. To watch the waiters “measuring” exact pours in front of guests is bizarre. Pour an extra inch.

    One of my favorite San Francisco restaurants. Creative and interesting menus. Try the trout cucumber appetizer! Fresh and four-star ingredients. Fantastic service. The noise level is a bit too robust ...

    The waitstaff was rude- we had a late reservation and I prefer to eat lighter if eating late. I ordered the hamachi crudo (a small plate) and a brocolini sode. My friends were sharing another order of hanachi crudo and fried chicken and my husband had the cheeseburger. The waiter made a big deal of telling me it need to be coursed and I had to have the crudo first and the brocolini second. It was loud and I jept asking him to just bring everything at once but he insisted it *had* to be coursed and basically pressured me into getting a salad too- I didn't even touch the sakad (little gems) as it was covered in about half a pound of grated cheese and was something I would never order (also had huge olives which I hate). The waiter did not ever bring the brocolini I ordered nor did he ever cone to check on us again. The crudo was just ok- way to oversalted but the fush was good. My husband said the burger was just ok as well. This place is way overrated, would not go back again

    I really liked Nopa. I thought the food, service, and space were really great. This was a birthday dinner and I was a bit disappointed that I requested a birthday dessert for my fiancée in the reservation and they did not follow those instructions.

    Halibut crudo. I rarely feel that a restaurant deserves an "outstanding" rating and it is always when something about the experience is memorable. That dish at Nopa was a halibut crudo appetizer that was just perfect with little slivers of fresh plum and a balance of flavors that were beautiful together but did not overwhelm the delicate flavor of the fish. It was so good, I know I will be thinking about it for weeks, maybe months. I almost placed a second order to have for dessert. All the food was very good, as always, the service was friendly and efficient and the outdoor parklet very pleasant. (Nopa inside is high bustle and noisy -- in a good way -- but if you're not in the mood for that, their outdoor seating is well designed -- aesthetically pleasing with good wind protection ... and quiet.)

    We love this place and have been regulars for quite some time. The food is always fresh, creative and inspired. Every time we come back there is a new surprise, this time it was the Halibut Crudo, a symphony of flavors appearing in an unexpected way.
