At Noona Meat & Seafood located in Parsons Alley in Historic Downtown Duluth, we showcase New American cuisine highlighted by fine meats & seafood favorites. We take pride in sourcing from the Southeast's best purveyors. The restaurant is centered around an open kitchen with a 9 foot wood burning hearth.
Our Bar features craft beers, inspired signature and classic prohibition era cocktails and an extensive and interesting wine list. Noona is a 2018-2020 Opentable Diner's Choice Award Winner. Gwinnett Magazine awarded Noona Best of the Best in the Steakhouse, Seafood and Romantic Restaurants categories in 2019.

Consistently good food and service. Opted to share a variety of oysters and small plates. Love the Octopus, shrimp scampi, and the salmon sashimi special with herb oil and orange.

Don’t get the tomahawk. It was the worst cut of meat I’ve had in a very long time not worth $150.

We are disappointed to hear about the tomahawk steak. It's always frustrating when an expensive dish doesn't live up to expectations. Our tomahawk's are dry-aged for approximately 20 days, which in turn changes the flavor profile of this specific cut of meat. It will be very different than that of a strip, ribeye, or tenderloin. We appreciate your honest review and we will take it whole-heartedly and improve on how we process our steaks in the future. If you've been to Noona's in the past few months for your first time it's perfectly adequate. But since KWHG sold, and new management, new staff, and a slimmed down menu took their place, it's just not the restaurant it was. This new management has dumbed down the menu and quality. They still source their meats from Linz but their cuts, or their choice of cutting is less than desirable. Their NY Strip which used to me an inch and a half to 2 inches is now on par with a thin cheap ribeye for steak night on an air craft carrier. They removed the charcuterie from the main menu but had it as a 'special'; but the selections were on par with a lunchable. One of their staple sides, the Kimchi Fried Rice is now offered as an appetizer which is now enhanced with pork belly for no reason. The restaurant has been replaced with all new indifferent faces and it was not the Noonas that I would bring friends, family and clients to. My once favorite restaurant has become quite a disappointment.

It sounds like the changes in menu offerings have left a noticeable gap in the dining experience you once enjoyed. Food was very good, oysters good, lettuce wrap, chicken and short ribs. All was very good. Whiskey sour for the drink, no egg whites, but the drink was still very good. Service was fast and friendly.

Our waitress was personable and informative (it was our first time dining here). The food was fine, but expensive for what we got/the taste. We also had to order everything all at once, which felt rushed instead of allowing our group to sit, order drinks and appetizers, and chat while deciding on dinner.

Service was amazing and my entre, grilled salmon and kimchi fried rice, was also outstanding. I did some oysters Rockefeller as an appetizer— I wasn’t a big fan of those … they weren’t on the shell and there was too much of some kind of white sauce and breadcrumbs on them. Prob just standard grilled or raw on the half shell would’ve been a better choice.
