The shrimp toast was very good and the corn bread was to die for. I felt the scallops were undercooked. I absolutely loved the bus boy. It was a little concerning that no one in the kitchen was wearing gloves. Food was being very intimately handled with bare hands. In a post-pandemic world, this doesn’t seem very appropriate, especially with an open kitchen concept.

The menu changes with the seasons, so it is always a new experience at Nolia. The food and cocktails were excellent. The staff were attentive and helpful. The ambiance was perfect. Would definitely go back.

Chef has turned this into a top ten restaurant. Amazing meal. Everything was good but the entrees were outstanding. We had the sea bass and the pork iberico. Both huge bursts of flavor. The seabass was well cooked crispy with a nice sauce. The pork was a new cut for us and may have ruined us for all other pork. So tender and the charred pineapple sauce became one of the best sauces I have had in quite some time. Loved the meal

Hands down the best meal we have eaten in Cincinnati. The cuisine was unique, tasteful, and every bite touched the soul. We ate the butternut squash, caviar waffle, the fish, jumbilaya, and sorbet for dessert. We will be coming back when the menu changes for the new season!

This restaurant is amazing. The chef/owner is the most present I’ve ever experienced, takes pride in his food and the experience he creates but also gives a very genuinely humble and welcoming impression. I couldn’t like Nolia more than I do.

Wow. First time in Cincinnati and a friend recommended this place. Coming from a foodie town like Chicago, my expectations are high and this place didn’t disappoint. Don’t sleep on this gem. It’s a quaint little spot where you feel the warmth of southern hospitality. The food is brought out at times by the affable chef, Jeff, who will chat you up. We had the crudo (a taste bud delight) which was so good that I asked if I could drink the agua chile, and the manager proceeded to put it into a shot glass. We also crushed the shrimp toast and the corn bread skillet with whipped Steens butter- when I tell you, I about went to heaven. We finished with the trout which had a perfect balance of peppercorn and a side of shoestring potatoes. We also had the bread pudding because if the the corn bread is so good - you gotta stick with the bread pudding! Awesome experience, wonderful staff and just a delight. Will travel back to Cincinnati just to go here again!

The food was phenomenal. The space was on the smaller side and had an intimate feel. Chef Jeffrey Harris delivered the food right to the table. It was a great experience and we already booked another reservation. We can’t wait to go back.

Chef Jeffrey Harris’ cuisine is transcendent. The squash with cocoa nibs, the Crudo, the scallops and the Iberico pork were had by us. The scallops were hands down the best I have ever had in my life (and I am middle aged and have traveled a fair amount)! The Dr. John cocktail really tastes like a creamsicle-good enough for dessert. The service was excellent and the presentation of the food was so beautiful it brought tears to my eyes. Walk, no run! to Nolia and treat yourself and someone you love. We also received a personal “Thank You” table visit from the chef.

Not our first time here and it didn't disappoint. The menu is always changing with the seasons so there is always something new to try out. The service is outstanding- the waitstaff is attentive and helpful. The chef came by most tables to take the time to ask customers how their meals were- he is fantastic. He is very present and available. The Iberica Secret (not sure I captured the spelling) was delicious with some surprising hidden flavors.

Nolia was a great experience. The food was so well-seasoned and delicious, the ambiance was top-tier, and love how the chef brought the food to our table. We had the shrimp toast, cornbread skillet, scallops, and iberico and all of it was perfection. Such a good time!

My husband and I have date night every Friday, where we alternate who plans each week. We try new restaurants, new experiences, and sprinkle in activities depending on who plans. A coworker of mine told me I should try Nolia Kitchen, partly because we are from the Mississippi/Louisiana area and we both spent a lot of time in New Orleans our whole lives. We have only lived in Cincinnati 9 months, and by far Nolia Kitchen is in our top 2. The Chef’s spin on Cajun cuisine is unique and not the typical basic Cajun dishes which we really appreciated. The flavor profile of each dish was like a party in your mouth. We cannot wait to come back and we are especially looking forward to this months Sunday dinner. My husband is also a chef and when he eats good food, he gets chill bumps. He had chill bumps the entire time we ate!! When that happens, I tell everyone to try the food. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends, family, and co-workers. The service was amazing!! Our waiter/bartender was Chris and he was an absolute delight throughout the whole evening. The Chef/owner walks around to check on each guest and wants to get the really real on your thoughts of the food and the entire experience. It has a very cozy feel and we loved the open kitchen because you can see the chefs cooking your food. Nolia will be one of our go to restaurants from now on!! Thank you Chef Jeff Harris for a wonderful experience!!

While on spring break from Raleigh, North Carolina, my son and I made it a priority to visit Nolia Kitchen after hearing about it and Chef Jeff Harris' James Beard Semi Finalist. Located in the vibrant Over the Rhine neighborhood, known for its local restaurants and shopping, we planned our early dinner around this exciting hotspot. As we arrived at Nolia around 5pm, we were warmly greeted and promptly seated. The host was both kind and efficient, while our server impressed us with their sweet demeanor and extensive knowledge of the menu. Though we had already perused the menu, our server still took the time to share some additional offerings. With our choices in mind, we placed our orders, which included the following: - Gulf Oysters (6) from both the East and West Coast - Cauliflower - River Catfish To complement our meal, I indulged in the delightful Goretti Park cocktail. Each dish was served with care and precision. My son particularly enjoyed the East Coast Oysters, while the cauliflower, accompanied by raisins and honey (we asked for it on the side), left a remarkable impression. Personally, my favorite was the catfish, paired with crawfish and grits. The combination of flavors was truly exceptional. During our visit, we were fortunate enough to meet Chef Jeff himself. He graciously shared his vision for the restaurant, adding to the overall amazing experience. We had reservations at 7:45 on a Thursday night and were seated right away. Our server Chris was attentive and lovely all night. We started with a Digby Park, and I chose to add caviar, and a LaFreniere Park cocktails. They were both good drinks but adding the caviar to the Digby Park was not worth the additional cost. Before I mention the food, I just have to say how cool it was to have Chef Jeff Harris serve most of our dishes. I don't know of any other restaurant in Cincinnati where the chef is so involved with their patrons. We asked him about the seasoning on the pork shank and he told us exactly how he did it. After each dish we were able to tell him what we thought. Refreshing! We ordered 6 east coast oysters and they were great. The crudo was kampachi (a variation of yellowtail) and it was a very unique and a delicious presentation. We have never had a crudo with a creamy sauce. We also had the cornbread, which was good, and everybody raves about it, but tasted like an extremely buttery pancake you would have on a Sunday morning. The pork shank was cooked beautifully and so, so tender. The spices were authentic to the Chef's roots. Cardamon, Garam Masala, and a lot of other warm spices and a delectable glaze. Our favorite dish of the night was the cauliflower....yes, cauliflower. Three types, perfectly seasoned. Please order it. We can't wait to go back to taste the spring menu, which starts on April 2nd!

I don’t have anything NEW to say about how good this place is. Just count me another satisfied diner looking forward to trying the new menu. Having said that - the ice cream is truly something to die for.

Outstanding Restaurant! Everything we ordered was recommended by the server and was absolutely delicious- oysters, shrimp bisque, skillet cornbread, catfish & grits, and duck leg. The owner/chef came to our table twice and even gave us a tasting a their house-made hot sauces. Nolia has a laid-back vibe but offers steakhouse like service. I will definitely be back!
