Pricey but good. Rooftop is excellent. If you want to impress someone, this is the place to go but be ready to pay. Cocktails are average and overpriced but that’s the same for the area.

Nobu is well known for the experience of excellent and expensive Japanese food. We enjoyed steak special w truffle that was amazing. Rolls were very good. Not the best ever for $45. And fairly small. The raw fish was excellent too. fun night.

We’ve wondered about Nobu for years and finally tried the Chicago branch when in town for a family event. Mixed review. The sushi and sashimi were very good; the appetizers ok but hardly spectacular, and the vegetarian dishes were nothing special. All were high priced. Service was friendly and helpful. We weren’t rushed, desserts not bad, and the dining room while noisy was nice enough. All in all, a nice dinner but not worth the very high prices. Go there once if you want to try it; we probably won’t be back unless someone else is paying.

My now Fiance had our first date at Nobu and have eaten there multiple times since, including my birthday in September. Likely she and I have eaten here 5 times and myself around 8-9 times. This was our 1 year anniversary and came back and have to say, the experience was great! The hostess right away said congrats, our server did as well, although a little quirky, did a great job. The food was actually probably the best I have had at any Nobu, including this one. It was noticeably better then times before. Wish the bar had some Bailey's for Espresso Martini's but all in all, great experience and loved the Happy Anniversary desert.
