The omakase dinner left me speechless, to be quite honest. The experience was incredible, especially as we celebrated our friend's birthday. The service was phenomenal as they were very attentive to our food allergies, comfort level (adjusting the room temperature for us, for example), and answered all of our questions. The chefs were knowledgeable and accommodating. The food and drinks were spectacular. Would highly recommend and hope to return for another celebration.

An amazing dinner experience with an outstanding curated menu of fresh sashimi that was coursed impeccably! Alexey was a great host and sommelier! Loved the music, it started with BIG, Missy Elliot, Marky Mark. Loved it all, We will be back !

I really enjoyed my dining experience here to celebrate my birthday by myself. The seating arrangement is assigned when you first enter the dining room. The fish was very high quality and service was very thorough and courteous. Would love to come back and bring some friends in the future.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at No Relation. Despite the initial confusion with the Shore Leave restaurant’s front door, once inside, it was like uncovering a well-kept secret culinary haven. Upon arrival, we were navigated to wait in the Shore Leave bar area before being escorted to a nice, cozy, designed private room. The ambiance had a perfect balance, clean and inviting, setting the stage for an exceptional dining experience. Service was top-notch, with warm, attentive staff making us feel welcome from the start. The food…each dish was a masterpiece, showcasing fresh ingredients, beautiful presentations, and flavors that dances on your palate. My friend opted for sake pairing, and she was delighted with both the quality of the selection and the generous pours. Alexey, the General Manager, demonstrated an impressive knowledge of sake, sharing insightful recommendations, enhancing our dining experience. In conclusion, No Relation exceeded expectations in every aspect. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking an unforgettable dining experience!

Everything about this place is unique and special. The location is quaint. The service and hospitality was top notch. The food was nothing short of outstanding. Not everything in life is worth the price of admission, but no relation certainly is.

The Omakase experience was amazing. We really loved the hidden nature of the sushi bar the back of Shore Leave. You could definitely stop there first for a cocktail. We had actually stopped at Bar Mezzana for a drink, which is part of the same restaurant group, on our way over to No Relation. We had been looking forward to this dinner for quite a while, and we were finally able to get a Saturday night reservation. All of the courses were delicious and we enjoyed each one. We had excellent seats in the middle of the long side of the sushi bar so we were able to watch each piece being created by the chefs. The background music was 90s hip-hop, but it was not too loud and really added to the unique ambience of the experience. I did read a few reviews where there were comments of up selling. There are definitely add-ons you can include, but we felt no pressure to add anything to our meal. In addition, the sommelier gave us a few recommendations for sake, and the one she ultimately determined would be best, was not the most expensive suggestion! At the end of the meal you were able to add on additional courses if you choose, we added on our two favorite pieces from the meal, as well as the A5 Wagyu, because I had never tried it before. Even without the additions, we would’ve left full. I also really enjoyed the gourmet chocolates they served at the very end. Just an amazing night and looking forward to going back again!

This experience was insane. I was slightly worried about how intimate it was going to be (I like talking to the people I come with and not worrying about outside perception). But it was an amazing time. The food was like nothing I’ve ever experienced, and everything was so relaxed yet upscale. Hiiiiiighly recommend.

This was an amazing experience in an intimate, yet relaxed setting. I was expecting to have amazing food and drink, but I was not expecting it to be paired with hip hop hits from my adolescence including Outkast, Usher, Lil John, Flo Rida, and 50 Cent, which became a highlight!of the night for me. Feel free to take pictures and videos, chat around, ask questions, and be surrounded by people who have a high respect for all of the work and craftsmanship that goes into providing the food on your plate and drink in your cup. Oh, and it was beyond delicious, as expected. If you like Japanese food, you will like everything.

I would highly recommend this experience!! It feels intimate with only 9 seats. Just you the chef the guest sitting around waiting for our dish to be prepared Everything was fresh. Different assortment of fresh fish. Great sake collection. My husband loves every bite of every plate presented to us.! It is a whole other level experience of dining out :)

If you don't eat the uni or shellfish, they give you cheaper fish substitute. They charge tips beforehand at 22% so it's really not a value for money. I've been to multiple omakase all over the world and it's my first time seeing an omakase that is not well prepared despite putting the dietary restrictions weeks in advance. I've been to multiple omakase that had done amazing despite my partner telling them last minute about his dietaty restriction. Good food, not the best I've had but not really worth the 200 bucks per person. Hygiene of head chef was also questionable, noticed he was touching his nose often with his bare hands then wiping them on a small towel. If I were to say at which price point it's worth at, I would say around 80-110 usd max (before tip). Their chawanmushi is watered down with a strong aftertaste of the sesame oil which means that they didn't use any dashi in the process of making the chawanmushi. When compared to Umami Sushi's 18- course omakase with their 14-course omakase, I would recommend Umami sushi in a heartbeat. It's main highlight is just their aesthetic and feeling of exclusiveness when they bring you to the room. But as a foodie, it's just ok if someone else is paying the meal for you.

Hello Bostona! We are sorry your experience with us was a disappointment due pushed upsell. We still offer items a la carte like supplements for tuna tartare and extra bites at the end of Omakase as something that is available at limited amounts. But our approach to offering those had changed. I may assure you that, despite those options still exist, there is not pressure whether to have them or not. We wish you great Omakase experiences elsewhere. But please don't be hesitant to revisit No Relation as well. Thank you!

Omakase courses were good but nothing wowed us. Heavy-handed with wasabi at times. Interesting juxtaposition of traditional small sushi bar ambience with 2000s club-rap as the soundtrack.

Lovely first time Omakase experience. The standards weren’t super high and Alexi was super helpful with explaining the how to’s. The chefs were wonderful and full of knowledge which made the experience that much more wonderful. The food was unbelievable and the sake was my favorite I’ve tried so far. Will definitely go again!
