Service was outstanding. Food and food presentation made the experience even better. There was plenty of time provided between courses offering a relaxed pace without making it feel they wanted to get the table ready for the next customers. Great experience overall.

In 17 years in the Boston area we never made it to No 9 Park and we wanted to change that. It was a good experience and the food was excellent, service as expected. We had the tasting menu. It was well composed and the seasoning in was just right without overpowering anything. Service was attentive and responsive. Only one server was so soft spoken that we could barely hear the explanation of the course and had to ask her to speak up (didn't happen). The restaurant is dated and needs renovation badly from windows to dining room to bathroom. Not dirty, just old and worn and outdated. One from our party made a good comment: "looks like the United lounge in Newark!". Bill was over 700 bucks all in for three tasting menus, one with wine pairing, and some extra drinks. Summary: well worth it if you can afford it and focus on the quality of the food, but ambience not up to par with more up to date upscale places in Boston.

A cozy intimate place to have a relaxing dinner with excellent service. The set dinner menu is unbalanced with 2 relatively heavy pasta dishes for spring time. (After all, a vichyssoise is served for the first course.) The vegetables are underwhelming without much distinct flavors. Other dishes are well prepared. We do like the desserts. The “wow” factor is definitely gone compared to when we dined here 10 years ago. Perhaps it needs a bit of evolving to add some freshness to the overall dining experience.

So many things not to like. Starting with…For the 48 dollar seafood platter they gave 3 shrimp for 2 Guests. Really? One more shrimp so we didn’t have to negotiate would have killed them. Either they are cheap or just don’t think about their guests that much. Service was fair. Food wasn’t great. Ambiance was pretty poor in very bright back room. Experience can best be summed up…we went out for pizza after.

No.9 was an amazing experience and a must visit for any foodie in Boston. The service is amazing and the food is to die for. The chefs tasting menu is a good mix of cold and warm dishes that exite the palate and keep a good balance. I would say that the signature dish could use a bit more for it to stand out but besides that the food is amazing. Make sure to go hungry if you are trying the tasting menu cause it can be a lot of food if you arent ready for it.

Gourmet French restaurant. You can go for the fixed price chef tasting or ala carte. We enjoyed the tuna crudo and vichyssoise appetizers which were unique and delicious. For entries the linguine arrabita was subtly spicy and the beef bourguignon over ricotta, classic French comfort food, delicious as well. Service was attentive and friendly. Enjoyable evening

It’s sad, but it’s over there. I hate to say it, but it isn’t worth it at all. Did the tasting…food was bland and chewy, service was strange. Wine pairing was delicious-no issues there, but when we asked for another glass of one of the reds, we were told no-that we weren’t allowed to drink more that that. Which was WILD…this has NEVER happened to us before at any of BLs locations or any other restaurant we have ever been to. At the end of the meal, we asked for an espresso which was met with “let me find out” then a few minutes later, “we can make it happen for you”. I’m sorry, an espresso!? That was a lift for them? There is an espresso martini and affogato on the menu! Note, we arrived at 6:40P and left at 8:30P- so the hours weren’t odd. I dunno, it’s just not what it used to be…an old legend…was so sad to experience this.

The food was delicious and the service was spot on. Wait staff explained the menu choices and described the dishes as they served them. Little gem salad with Parmesan crisps and bits of orange was amazing. Ricotta fritters are outstanding. Everything was perfect.

While the food was delicious, the service was poor enough that it detracted considerably from the experience. Our waiter at the bar paid little attention to us - we had to wave him down for silverware, napkins, refills on our wine, and our bill. He was very busy with the couple next to us who he seemed to know well. Both my husband and I have worked extensively in food service so we are tuned in to restaurant culture, and tonight was a complete mismatch between the exceptional food and the poor overall experience. $250 for a burger and pasta, and wine - delicious as it was - I expect better.

Beautiful and rare combination of delicious and exquisite food with knowledgeable and engaging service staff. I was unsure at first as the man who seated us had the posture and vibe of wanting to be anywhere but at his job. However the waiter we had was exceptional and made the experience all the better. The food is interesting and tasty. The only critique is the size of the a la cart entrees were rather small. The quail portion was extremely tiny. Overall sensational and highly recommend !

We’ve done the tasting menu 4 or 5 times and always had excellent service. We decided to grab a bar table and the a la carte menu and it was a completely different experience. Our server was very nice and some things may have been out of his control but drinks took 15-20 and the next round over 40 minutes. The bread service came out about 2 minutes before our appetizers. The entrees came out about 20 minutes after we had finished our appetizers. Another server came to take our dessert order and didn’t know the ice cream flavors. The food was very good, but they need to step up the service to continue to justify the high end prices.

Brought my boyfriend for his birthday and it was a big hit! We ordered the tasting menu despite the fact that it featured pork belly and neither of us are a fan. Well, the pork belly dish ended up being our favorite course out of 7! Succulent, crispy, and accompanied perfectly by a spectacular Riesling. The prune stuffed gnocchi was a close second for depth of flavor and inventiveness, also with an exquisite wine pairing. Perfect spot for a relaxing, romantic dinner in a space that doesn’t seem at all stuffy in spite of being a bit “fancy”…

Used to be one of the better restaurants in Boston. It’s slipped dramatically. Service is still good, but the food is overwrought and no longer tasty. A pasta dish came with sauce the texture of baby food; a deconstructed carrot cake was just lumps of sugary stuff; a sea bass was nicely cooked but places atop more weird baby food-like sauce; a salad was wet with dressing and loaded with sickly sweet crumbles of dried orange. Yuck.

There were four of us in our party and we all enjoyed the whole experience. Two of us tried the full food tasting menu and that was exquisite. The a la carte menu was fantastic too. The cocktails were phenomenal. I would recommend No. 9 Park for a special occasion. It is very pricey but well worth it for a once in a while for us.

Positives first, the service is good and the staff both attentive and pleasant. But the food is a huge disappointment. Considering the price point and positioning as a fine dining establishment, the food experience is incredibly bad. This is the flagship restaurant of a celebrated chef? Does she ever visit the kitchen? I had a tasting menu, and of the six courses only two worked, that was the first starter, and the dessert. Neither were great, but both were interesting and good (in my subjective opinion). The four courses in between range from uninspired to borderline shameful. A scallop dish with an odd composition (that's fine, people like different things), and a small scallop with an off grainy/mushy texture and a terrible dry-burned sear. Chicken tortellini in a broth with some microgreens. No redeeming qualities in this dish in my opinion. Easily the worst dish I've had in a tasting menu. Completely bland, and with a pasta that was almost crumbly in texture. A pork belly dish with some fried mushrooms and vegetables. Pork belly was alright and had a nice crunchy skin. The dish was seasoned, but the whole thing was very greasy with no acidity or freshness. Tasty, yes, but hardly a fine dining dish. The final main course was a piece of wagyu beef. The same experience as the pork with the fried oily greens (and ditto potato). The meat itself was slightly overcooked and chewy for my taste. All in all this felt dated and underwhelming, especially considering the price point. From looking around the dining room I got the same impression from other diners, not a lot of smiles. Good service, good ambience, good cocktail, good wine. But the food is far of the mark.

I have not been to No 9 Park in about 20 years. From the minute we walked through the door , to the minute we walked out the door , we had the most amazing dining experience that I have had in a long time. My husband and I go out almost every weekend, but the level of service to the delicious cuisine, far exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend dining at No9 Park, you will not be disappointed. We will be returning soon.

Food was underwhelming. Atmosphere was meh and decor was dated. We spent over $400 for two (prix-fix menu and one drink each). There are so many better restaurants in the area at a much lower price tag.
