On an elegant West End Terrace, not far from the Royal Botanical Gardens and the Stockbridge area, No.35 at The Bonham Restaurant is a character rich dining room, which combines classical elegance with the contemporary.

Not your ordinary hotel restaurant

The wood panelled restaurant is an intimate, distinctive and cosy retreat. Following an extensive refurbishment, No.35 blends traditional elements, luxurious fabrics and timely touches that reflect the original Georgian roots of the building. A fabulous place to dine at the end of a busy day’s shopping and sightseeing in Edinburgh.

Choose from our A La Carte Menu, a great choice for all tastes, or why not join us every lunchtime for our famous “Boozy Snoozy” Menu, a 3-course selection including a half bottle of wine per person.

    Boozy Snoozy Lunch What could be better than a relaxed afternoon filled with delicious food, great wine, and good company in the opulent surroundings of No.35 at The Bonham Boozy Snoozy is available for lunch on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 12.30pm – 2.30pm. Enjoy 3-courses and half a bottle of wine for £38 per person.

    We offer a scrumptious 5 course meal on Christmas Day. Why not relax and soak up the atmosphere and then enjoy even more as someone else does the dishes! We offer 2 sittings 12noon arrival for 12.30pm start and 5pm arrival for 5.30pm start. Adults are priced at £140 while children 12 are £75. We are happy to cater for dietaries with advance notice. We shall contact all guests in advance for a deposit of £20 per person on booking. The balance will be payable at the start of December.

                                      We have eaten many times at the Bonham over the years, latterly usually the Boozy Snoozy. But this time we had dinner. Our main beef was the price, around £200. Some bits of the meal were good, the highlight being beautifully cooked halibut though the salad and veg alongside not nearly so good. We ordered cheese to share to end and received 2 tiny bits of unremarkable cheddar and hard soft cheese, Brie I think. Very poor. Our waitress was pleasant but poorly trained, didn’t pour our wine, ask if we needed anything, didn’t know answers to questions. The place was very quiet so poor ambience and it was a Saturday night. Please go to the Bonham but opt for the snoozy boozy at lunchtime where you’ll get almost the same meal for a fraction of the price!

                                      Excellent food. We started with a glass of Prosecco then both had chicken liver parfait, then lamb (which was very tender) then sticky toffee pudding. We opted to upgrade the included wine from a Chilean Sauvignon blanc to a Rioja Blanca for £4 each The restaurant was quiet when we arrived but gradually filled up but it wasn’t noisy

                                      The lunch menu had good choices available. Service was 1st class with professional & friendly staff. Presentation and quality of the food was excellent. The hotel ambience was the icing on the cake. An altogether very pleasant experience & Bonhams is now my first choice for lunch when in Edinburgh.
