Le chef Andy D'Amico utilise la cuisine de la Riviera italienne comme point de départ à son exploration de l'Italie. La « Socca », la spécialité de la maison, vous permettra de découvrir cette crêpe de pois chiches cuite dans un four en briques, une recette traditionnelle de la ville française de Nice. Dans le menu figurent une merveilleuse sélection d'antipasti, des salades, des soupes, des pizzas, des pâtes et des plats de résistance. En 2008, le Nizza a retenu l'attention du Time Out New York et du New York Magazine dans la catégorie « Petit Budget ». ABOUT OUR GLUTEN FREE FRIENDLY MENU
Our GLUTEN FREE FRIENDLY menu has been a welcomed blessing to our gluten free patrons since it was first introduced over a decade ago. Our GF pastas are made with corn flour, and our GF Pizza is made with an imported Italian Gluten Free flour. While we work very hard to keep all of our gluten free guests safe, Nizza is not solely a gluten free restaurant and there is always a risk of cross contamination.

Meh. The atmosphere is nice and the service is good. However, food just had no taste. Our whole table agreed. I asked for Parmesan to help amp up the flavor, but it was also very bland. The pasta is fresh, but I’d skip it in the future, especially based on the cost.

A delightful restaurant in a popular neighborhood. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. Perhaps the best pasta we have ever eaten. Can’t wait to return.

Have been a regular customer for years. I am gluten free and they offer a wide selection. Service was friendly and responsive. Was a bit noisy but that is to be expected at any restaurant in the theater district.

Wonderful experience on a Tuesday night before the theater. Host was very gracious. There were only two of us and I was the first to arrive. I pointed to table towards the back that seemed to be a quiet area and was immediately ushered to it. The host came back before my guest arrived and asked to move me because he was combining it for a larger group. In exchange he offered a larger booth that was more private. Such a nice gesture. Pepperoni pizza and Caesar salad were very good with a 1/2 liter of red wine. We were also generously offered a comp dessert but declined because we changed tables but had to rush off to the theater. Overall an excellent experience for a well priced, well located restaurant in the heart of the theater district. Next time I want to try one of the pasta or entree dishes on the menu.

Last Friday, I had lunch at Nizza with a friend, and when we left, I left behind my expensive Rayban sunglasses. Upon arriving at home I called the restaurant, explained what happened, and was told that they had found the sunglasses and would try to keep them until I came back on Monday for another lunch, as I had already reserved a table. The person on the phone was not as assertive as I would have liked him to be. He said they would keep the sunglasses but he couldn't vouch for the fact that the staff over the weekend would be able to keep them, suggesting that someone not aware of the situation might take possession of them. When I arrived on Monday, I explained what had happened to my waiter, who confirmed they still had the sunglasses in a safe place. He went and brought them back to me. That alone deserves a five-star rating. Thank you Nizza...

Big smile and welcome from Nizza's hostess was an augur for good times to come. Excellent cacio pepe that we split had just the right amount of creamy. Tasty salmon entree and chicken milanese with a robust crunch were solid choices. Side salad was complex in a good way. Peppers ... :-) Dessert of ricotta cheesecake and a remarkable grappa called Nardini Mandoria made for a wonderful pairing (try it, you'll like it!) to end our feast. Wait staff exemplary. Perfect post theater meal on summer eve.

Nizza’s offered a perfect dining experience. The food, service, and atmosphere were all superior to any dining experience in the area. Don’t leave without trying the out-of-this-world foccacia— have it as an appetizer, a main course, and for dessert. You won’t be sorry!
