Luxury takes root in the heart of Austin at Nido, bringing the charm of the area together with the culinary techniques of coastal Europe, all perched above Lady Bird Lake and the energetic cityscape.

Nido is located on the rooftop of The Loren at Lady Bird Lake - recently named by Conde Nast Traveller and Travel & Leisure Magazine as "one of the hottest hotel openings in the world." Nido nods to the surrounding and native Hill Country, giving diners a one-of-a-kind respite to experience worldly-travel through food. Nido’s selection of carefully crafted, seasonal menus are internationally-inspired with a focus on classical technique.

Reservations are available for inside the dining room and the dining tables in the bar. Lounge seating is available on a walk in basis in the bar and on the terrace for drinks and snacks.

Great atmosphere, beautiful view of the city. Food was great but most of the meals are small portion. Our server was super nice which made our experience even better.

The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and the patio is the star of the show - we felt lucky to bet able to sit outside on a gorgeous spring evening. The service was friendly, prompt and professional. The food - pretty disappointing actually. We had the crudo (fine but nothing special), the burrata (this was good but needed a bit of salt to bring out the flavor of the burrata, and there was none on the table. would have LOVED a beefsteak tomato with it), fries (great, but you know, fries) and the Cod. The cod was cooked perfectly but lacked interesting flavor, and was lukewarm, quickly becoming cold. Was served on a finely shredded bed of carrots and I think cabbage, which for me really brought down the entire dish. It just seemed like cheap slaw and didn't have the right texture to accompany the fish. The corn crisp that topped the dish made for impressive presentation, but it was so incredibly salty that it was inedible, and even when used to "salt" the rest of the meal it was way, way too salty. We'd had high hopes for Nido but the meal was pretty disappointing for almost $200. Also, there were very few options for gluten-free, so the menu became quite limiting (and no avail substitutions). Bummer. Go for the view and cocktails, maybe skip dinner.

We ate outside, gorgeous view, but couches and chairs too low for comfortable lunch. It was a birthday lunch so being outside was important, but now we know.

The best oysters I've ever had... beating top seafood spots in Boston, Portland, and San Francisco area. They also were generous enough to start us of with complimentary bubbly to celebrate our anniversary. Artichoke flatbread was also really good. The rest of the meal was just okay for the price tag. The sauce with the Branzino was overly salted, the fries weren't anything special for $11, and the prosciutto turnips were overpowered by the amount of prosciutto.

Service was excellent, as usual. However, the breakfast potatoes were mostly burnt; we sent them back, and the replacement potatoes were better, but still had burnt pieces among them. Surprising.

Good location and setup with lots of potential. Sadly the only place you can enjoy a relaxing time is outside in the terrace. The hostess did advise us however if we chose a sofa along the wall close to the bar it is known to be quite loud and that it was. Food is overpriced as expected for a downtown rooftop. Bathrooms are shared which may not be welcomed by high paying clientele but that's trivial. All things considered it was a good experience I just expected a bit more for being a new spot along the river.

Unbelievable bourbon selection at great prices. Food is phenomenal, service was great and amazing views of downtown. This place has it all, highly recommend. We ate at a lot of places on our trip and had a lot of great food, but the octious carpaccio was the best thing we had in Austin.

What a pleasant surprise. Each area of the restaurant (bar, dining room, patio) had it own unique feel and were beautifully designed and all highlighted by the incredible view. Food was incredible. Service was lovely.

We went for a birthday lunch, and overall, were disappointed with our selections. The menu is quite limited and the servings are small. The BLUEFIN TUNA CRUDO came without any delivery system like bread or crackers. The CACIO-E-PEPE could be described as nothing special. One of our party of four had been here for dinner previously and had a stellar meal. As she described it, it felt like they were just phoning it in for lunch. We enjoyed a delicious bottle of bubbly and the view from our outdoor table was spectacular. Service was good - not their fault!

We had such a lovely experience. Trenton was a waiter and was a delight. He helped us understand the menu and made several suggestions that we followed. And we were glad we did. The food and drinks were delicious. And the view cane be beat. Would highly recommend.

Great views and some great food. Good: Bloody Mary - housemade mix and a bit of tang/spice. Delicious. Breakfast sandwich was full and was worth your money. Avocado toast was of good abundance and can be shared as an appetizer as it's has enough for 2 or more. Bad/Opportunity for improvement: Trying to eat food outside is a bit unforgettable as the tables are lower than normal and you're having to eat off the edge of your seat. Oysters are overpriced and at $10 per oyster. No horseradish, hotsauce, salt or any options to flavor. And having a sweet relish added didn't vibe well with my palette. The last section outside has no shade or pergola and when the sun is out, it will make you sweat the entire time. Ask to be under the pergola area. Overall - you are 100% paying for the view. expect $100 per person if you decide to all have 1 drink, 1 app and 1 entree.

Trenton was knowledgeable and super friendly and the whole interaction made for a wonderful experience today! He helped me pick my entrée, made us laugh numerous times and we can’t wait to go back and visit him. Nido never disappoints but being in Trenton’s section made it truly sparkle.

We had the hamachi for appetizer and it was so delicious and interesting. Then we had the scallops and branzino. We got great wine pairing recommendations. Everything was delicious and fresh.

Got a seat by the window with good views; didn't want the patio as it was a little chilly out. Ordered the Raventos i Blanc cava as RiB is my favorite winemaker. Great wine for an elegant evening at Nido. The scallops were cooked perfectly and didn't disappoint, but the accompanying lentils were meh. The chocolate mousse with raspberry cream sauce was killer, and Sebastian the waiter got the kitchen to make it gluten free for me. I loved every bite. Sebastian is a great waiter; was attentive but not overbearing, and made the evening more enjoyable.

First time at Nido and it was an awesome experience! The food was top notch along with the drinks as well! Special shout out to Nick who was our waiter and took care of us during our visit. Class Service and will make this my MUST have place to visit!

This was our 4th or 5th visit, and was the first one that wasn’t enjoyable. We usually have previously gone for dinner and drinks with visitors who want to enjoy the beautiful skyline views. The staff was overwhelmed, and the quality was less than usual. In particular, we received the wrong order, and after pointing it out, the correct order never came in full. The hostess was more interested with her phone than seating the guests appropriately. And the food was terribly late. We received a friendly apology from the waiter for part of the problem; he explained that our food was delivered to the wrong table, and then had to be remade, but that apology came with an incorrect order...another 15 minutes after when it should have arrived. The whole feel this most recent visit was hurried service, average food, and high prices. This is a place with a spectacular view at a very nice boutique hotel, and should be a unique gem in the Austin restaurant scene. However, the atmosphere is more of a trendy hotspot for wealthy tourists who want to party and less of a place where effort is going into the food and guest experience. Places that cater to tourists sometimes don't try to cater to repeat customers, and that's disappointing. Overall, I would tell people to go there for a drink if you want to see the skyline, but that dinner is not worth the time or significant expenses.

I ordered the cod, broke a piece off with my fork to take a bite and found a worm!!!!! Never have I found one anywhere else, I was disgusted!! Look at your food before you put it in your mouth. Never going back.
