Open kitchen revealed a line cook with a cut and just a tissue over it- not a wrap. Being a food producer, kitchen cleanliness is a big deal. Floors are very dirty. Food is fine. Biscuit is not really a biscuit- just a warmed up scone type bread with lots of butter. Eggs overdone. Potatoes were fine. Servers are very good.

Very much enjoyed "Veg & Eggs" plate from the Brunch menu. Other brunch plates that waiters ported by me looked quite appetizing as well; and other diners appeared gustatorily engaged and pleased. Service was pleasant, prompt, and proficient. Casual patio ambience banally passed muster, with its close-quarters layout and its lack of a charming or other aesthetic flourish on the disappointing side. Finding parking during Sunday brunch hours proved a bit challenging. Overall, the quality of the menu and fine wait staff will draw me back for eating out with friends when a casual rather than an intimate setting suffices.

The food was amazing, the atmosphere was great, and the service was perfect! Definitely need to make reservations. The mushroom boursin crustini as a starter was absolutley delicious! Bloody Mary and Pomegranate Mimosa were also great!

Dinner was great, service was excellent. The only disappointment was the atmosphere, with the great reputation, we anticipated a higher end venue. This was more diner than dinner, but we loved it regardless!

Based on prior reviews and recommendations, this place is a hot spot, so we chose it for a brunch stop on a Friday afternoon. Honestly, not sure what the hype is about? It was fine, but not buzz worthy. We did make a reservation, but didn't need one. Our greeting was a bit chilly, but we ended up at the chef's counter with Liz as our server and she was very nice and attentive. The atmosphere was ok, sort of like a new age Woolworth's lunch counter, and I say that in a good way. Food was mostly fine, however nothing was exceptional. We had the grilled bread, which was not impressive. The bread itself was basic sandwich bread, and the honey sea salt butter was basically plain unsalted butter. I ordered a cup of lentil vegetable soup and Liz clarified that it was pureed - that's fine - what was not so fine was the flavor. I took about 3 spoonfuls and couldn't do it, I like all the things listed in the soup but it had a flavor I couldn't place and found off. My greens salad with chicken was decent; the vinaigrette was delicious and it was mostly fresh, except for some pieces of mesclun that were wilted and turning into that slimy consistency that I despise mesclun for. The grilled chicken on top was good, albeit a very small portion. My husband had the chicken club, which he said was good. His side of roasted potatoes was yummy, a mix of white and sweet. Overall, our meal was underwhelming. If Nick's was closer to home I would probably try it again for dinner, but considering it's an hour's drive it's doubtful we'll be back.

Nick’s has a small menu but with plenty of options. We sat at the counter and watched the chef’s work together and create local tasteful food with attention to detail. The wait staff only enhanced the dinner with upbeat hospitality. My only comment was the portions are not huge, but for me, I had the hazelnut pesto pasta and it was enough food, my husbands entree was pasta bolognese which would not be enough if he didn’t get the seafood and sweet potsto soup. He said that was delicious and was a big portion.
