Nick’s Bistro is a full service bar and restaurant providing unique Greek American cuisine in a contemporary, neighborhood bistro setting. The owner’s, Mario and Alfred, set out with the goal of creating an elegant establishment that will make you feel right at home.
Sitting at the corner of 72nd and Metropolitan in Forest Hills, Nick’s Bistro, lights up the night, welcoming in all patrons with the promise of authentic Greek home cooking. Food was excellent, the place is a little tight - with the waiters constantly squeezing by you. It was a crowded night - maybe next time it won’t be so bad. Overall food is excellent!

Our family had a delightful, delicious Mother’s Day brunch @ Nick’s Bistro. We were seated on the outside patio and appreciated the heaters on a cool day and the lovely ivy vines surrounding us. Ben, our waiter, was very efficient and friendly. We will be returning in the near future!

Went for Mother's day, it was VERY crowded. Like almost too packed for the space. We were crammed in around 3 other tables and were constantly bumped into by servers/other guests trying to navigate the narrow walkway they created. Otherwise, food was good and service was decent for how busy it was. I would recommend reservations... we called and they said don't make one then we arrived it was clearly needed. Was able to make one on the spot though.

My family and I had a great meal! The Greek spreads were amazing! The spanakopita was better than any I’ve ever had. Everything was cooked to order. Our server was lovely. Extra props for having gluten free pita!

The appetizers were amazing - gigande beans, calamari and spanakopita are must haves. The crab cake was all breadcrumbs but the kids loved the pasta.

The host was wonderful, he did everything to make sure we were comfortable and happy. The food was good, but we were disappointed that most of the cocktail ingredients were gone at 7:30pm on a Saturday night. They’re part of the main menu, so it confused us lol but all in all it was good.

We arrived here just in time for our reservations . It was pretty quiet . Very slow around the time we went . For appetizers we had the Greek meatballs and crab cakes . Overall taste , I’ll give both an 8/10 . They weren’t bad . Very good seasoning . My ONLY complaint would be , the temperature. When we finally got our appetizers , they were warm , barely. For entrees , my S/O had the lamb chops with veggies and I had shrimp stuffed with crab meat with rice ( I should’ve gotten them scampi. I didn’t realize that was an option ) . The stuff shrimp was a little bit too much but that’s on me because I should’ve read under it that I can get them scampi . All I did was take the crab meat off the top and ate the shrimp with the rice . The seasoning for all our enteees - DELICIOUSSSS! I don’t even eat lamb chops but my s/o gave me a bite of his and it was very good . Again my only complaint will be the temperature. My food was very warm , while my s/O lambchops came out like they were fresh off the stove . I enjoyed the ambiance and would definitely come back again when Im in the mood for some Greek food

Nicks is the only restaurant I have found that is consistent with their food in Forest Hills. It is our go to for brunch with our grandchildren and dinner any night of the week.

If Nick's Bistro offers a Specials Menu when you dine in , you definitely need to give some attention to it. 2nd time dining here within 3 months and I ordered from the Specials Menu. I ordered the salmon encrusted with shredded potatoes, horseradish sauce on bottom of plate... exactly as described. I was enjoying the salmon that I didn't notice that the horseradish sauce was very mild. My bf ordered the bone-in braised Short Rib. It was served piping hot. Literally, 1 rib and beef falling off the bone. Flavor was savory and meaty. Mmm Rice pilaf was good too. Good portions for each item. The staff from entering to leaving are like friends to you. Restroom in the back.

We LOVE Nick's. It is my 82 year old mother's favorite restaurant and we try to take at least once a month. Last night, we spent her birthday there last night, and as usual, the food was great, the service is outstanding. A neighborhood gem.

We arrived early for our reservation but that was not a problem for them, even though the restaurant was busy. We were seated immediately by the window. Food and service was excellent. Diego, our waiter, was fantastic. We have gone to Nick’s often and will continue to do so.

Great service and food. My only complaint was that we had a 7PM reservation and we were there on time but we still had to wait 15 minutes until a table was available.

Always great food here and excellent friendly service . Didn’t rush us out at all . Our favorite go to place when we meet up with friends .

My meal was excellent and plentiful. The wait staff was friendly and efficient. My only negative was I fewlt the meal was abit rushed.
