Wonderful food, service and entertainment. We ate inside the restaurant but could still hear Dave Scott’s duo on the patio. The noise level was such that it was easy to hold a conversation and still enjoy the music. A bit pricey but worth every penny.

We came for Mother's Day brunch with high hopes, but the service team really seemed to be struggling. Out of the 4 of us, only 2 got their entree, the other two were out 15 mins later because our meals were brought to a different table. These things happen, it's a holiday, we understand. What we felt was rather unfortunate is that there was no effort to make right. The manager came out to explain what happened only after we began to inquire and the waiter came over to offer us another round of drinks. We interpreted this as a comped round as an apology, but instead were charged for both rounds. I'm happy to pay for a quality meal with quality service, and certainly expected better in the heart of Rancho Santa Fe. For a $500 experience, it's safe to say this did not deliver and that's a shame.

Very quaint location and excellent staff (very friendly and professional). Pricey place as you might expect in the RSF neighborhood. The charcuterie board was quite underwhelming for $27… should be much fancier cheese and meats for a fancy place. Cocktails were well made (esp the martinis). Wedge salad was outstanding. Halibut needed to be sent back due to overcooking but they fixed it and it was very good. The bread pudding was as a slam dunk. Main feedback: increase the quality of the charcuterie board and pay extra attention to cooking the fish. Your staff is awesome so keep them happy as they make the experience wonderful.

What wonderful ambience the music was fabulous. The food was divine. The essence of the whole restaurant is so inviting and gentle. Our waiter was fabulous and everybody was so relaxed… Dave Scott is a great musician.

The food was good. I ordered the crispy salmon which was tasty, but the skin was not at all crispy. My husband ordered short ribs which were very good. Service was great!

We went to the easter brunch. It wasn’t very busy at all, but it took 15 minutes for someone to even come over to our table. Food was mediocre at best. Definitely not worth the fixed price. Will not be back again

This restaurant makes you want to come back every morning. The staff of the most friendly people I’ve ever met in my entire life and the food knock your socks off. I never thought that wearing bunny ears would make me as happy as it did, even though my daughter thinks I am weird.

Food was great, we had the prawns and a lamb chop special, both were perfectly prepared and delicious. Service was great (Page was delightful) and ambience was lovely for a Saturday night out date night.

Our dinner experience was excellent! From making a reservation, and changing the number of diners 3 times, to being greeted at the entrance, to being made felt extra special, to the attention to our needs, to the food; I can't brag on this restaurant enough! Kudos to Nick & G's! FABULOUS!!

Been wanting to try definitely will sit outside next time. The inside is very cold and stark. Lighting is way too bright definitely need some dimmers! Food was good not great, not a huge selection. Felt uncomfortable with the starkness. Everyone was very friendly so tyst was nice.

You have to order the Calamari at Nick & G’s! They cut their Calamari from Calamari Steaks and it was the best Calamari we’ve ever eaten.

We sat for 1/2 hour before anyone came to our table. The server was nice but he barely made an appearance at our table. The food was decent enough but the live music was extremely loud Not likely to return

To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. I wasted 200$ on a dinner date in which I was excited to be celebrating my one year anniversary only for us to be limited to a Valentine’s Day menu which made our stomach turn from the moment we started with our starters. Maybe if we were given the option to choose from either their regular menu or the special Valentine’s Day it would’ve made the 200$ worth it.

We went for Valentine’s Day. They had a fixed price menu that was a little pricey, but well worth it. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. We had a drink at the bar before diner, and Jason was an incredible bartender. Overall, an enjoyable experience.

a great neighborhood restaurant with solidly good food and professional service with a great attitude. it's a lovely room but i downgraded the ambience to 2 stars because there was no music playing, which gave entering a strange 'is this place open' feeling.

Repeat visit on a Monday night. Unfortunately, there was a family with 2 very young children who were loud and would have been more suited to Chucky Cheese. I cant understand why the better restaurants allow this. The wait staff was nice. We were served by Abby last time who was outstanding. This group were nice but average. I had the salmon which was excellent. My wife had the shortrib which, she stated, was very dry. Things seemed to have changed since our last visit. The food not quite as good, the waitstaff not quire the same. Almost wonder if the ownership had changed. Overall, not a bad place but not outstanding.

great neighbor hood spot with reliably good food and friendly service. the manager on duty was very friendly and helpful. nice playlist, relaxing environment. the low point is in the bar which is lit very brightly and doesn't have a bar vibe at all; also the banquet seating in bar is uncomfortable. overlit but nice patio.
