C’est le meilleur hamburger depuis que Daniel Boulud a rassemblé foie gras et côtelettes dans un steak haché. Food is mediocre. We ordered a bottle of wine which meant we had to go to the ice bucket to refill our glasses.sweet server, not her fault. Tiny table for 2 to contain a large bowl of mussels, 2 glasses each, bowl for shells. Broth was watery and mussels lukewarm. Panisse not crispy enough and tart also lukewarm.Bread rubbery as though heated up in microwave. But it’s sad dinner is such a let down as breakfast if fine. Maybe trying to hard to recreate a Nicoise experience without the culinary skills required

We found the table adjacent to us VERY noisy. Young people are often shouting at each other especially after a glass or two of something intoxicating. We also found the light levels to be incredibly DIM and DARK - the wall washers in our corner were totally "off" - even a low glow would have helped a lot! The overall ambiance suffered as a result. Thank goodness, one of our birthday guests had brought his very own LED battery-powered mini table lamp - which was bright enough (without being glaring) for us to all read our menus! And see each others' faces. The gathering was for my husband's 78th birthday - and all of us were 70 or older. Many of your patrons are in their senior years - often longtime friends (like us) who enjoy a superb dining experience. Light, as has been proven by science, is very important to hearing - and we older folks are all troubled a little bit in the area - especially in a noisy environment. It is also important for communication - you need to see someone's face to hear what they are actually saying. The maitre d' was fascinated by our "imported LED light" - I do hope you will start to provide them to people such as our table who could really use the assistance if you continue your policy of "dim & romantic dinner lighting" for the 30-something crowd! Food was fantastic - everyone was delighted by their appetizers and entrees; rose wine was well-enjoyed; sourdough rolls were great - love the unsalted butter/olive oil; creme brulee delish (although not as large a serving as I remember - much thicker china and less of the custard itself). Apricot sorbet was excellent.

We fell in love with this sweet French restaurant! The service was upscale and perfect, and the food was absolutely delicious. Our waiter spoke French beautifully which added to our experience. We cannot wait to visit Nice Matin again!

Delicious goat cheese omelette, braised salmon, and salade nicoise. very friendly waitstaff. Lunch in the outside dining shed - a bit noisy eating outside by amsterdam avenue. got a bit pricey. Entrees in the 20s and 30s. overall a very enjoyable meal.

Nice Matin is really lovely for a Sunday brunch and we have been many times. This weekend we went on the Monday of Memorial Day hoping they’d offer brunch and instead they offered their regular (different) Monday menu. The staff and the restaurant didn’t have the same vibe, attitude, food or service that we would have hoped for and have experienced in a Sunday. So we felt kind of duped.

We were offering our brunch menu this past Memorial Day; however, we were serving it from 10:30am to 3:30pm. This was our second time at Nice Matin and it did not disappoint (again). Everything from food to service was wonderful. Our server was professional and friendly. Our food came out hot and with flavor. We had no complaints! This is becoming one of our favorite places. Thank you to the staff!
