The Mother’s Day brunch was awesome. Food was excellent and the service was great. Live music was an unexpected treat. The view was an absolute gem. Great time!!!!

New South Kitchen perfectly met our need for a pleasant quick dinner before our event at the nearby State Farm Arena. The service was quick and accommodating, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere clean and restful. Our server Alyssia (sp?) took wonderful care of us, treating us like family. Thank you!

We came to New South Kitchen for the Valentines Day experience. Worst dinning service we have experienced. As we wait we noticed that it wasn’t busy. Maybe 5 couples. We arrived at the start time of our reservation 7:30. There was a fixed menu with meals that looked good, but we never got our order. We sat for 45 minutes before a serve even came to our table. We then where serves champagne. Then these small biscuits that where basically cheddar bay biscuits. We continued to wait and notice people who arrived after us started getting their order before us. We ordered but waited another hour. By 9:45 we haven’t received any food. So we decided that $65 a person wasn’t worth the two our wait. We decided to leave and just get dinner at a diner. Please know the service is slow. The kitchen is slow. You would get food quicker at the bar than in the restaurant. I cant comment on the food as we never ate anything other than the biscuit.

Let me start by saying it was Valentine’s Day it was a pre fixed menu and the food all the food was absolutely delicious! The ambience was beautiful the restaurant over looks downtown Atlanta. There was live music and the noise level was great we could still have a conversation and hear the music in the background.. However, our 4 course meal literally took 4 hours!! It was Valentine’s Day so we had other plans that had to be cancelled we weren’t expecting a 4 hour dinner.. The wait staff was very nice and pleasant but it took forever to get our food… should I decide to go have the patience of Job

We really enjoyed this place. There did seem to be issues with getting food out, but we didn’t have that problem. We were enjoying the live music. Our waitress was very kind and made sure we were taken care of

First off...I rarely complain. I used to work in the restaurant business and no stuff happens. However, I booked a business dinner for 9 and it was a DISASTER!!! The waitress forgot our appetizer. No big deal. However, she also ignored 2 of my guests that arrived 10 minutes late so much that one of team members got up and found a pitcher of water to get them something to drink. One of same 2 people ordered a Jack and coke. She forgets the Jack and instead of getting a new drink she brings a little plastic cup with a tiny shot for him to mix his own. The entrees all came out separate - 2 then 25 minutes then 5 more then 15 minutes then another 29 minutes when 1 of the last 2 were wrong (chcken vs salmon salad) and it took another 20 minutes to fix that. Thinking the restaurant was busy....nope, there were less than 10 other people in the restaurant. Needless to say our dinner was free, but ONLY after we called the manager over. Nothing was said until we raised the issue like everything was fine even though the manager had actually delivered 3 of the separate entrees. Then... another waitress decided to defend her fellow waitress and started lecturing us about the food being made fresh and clean and she would have told us that the dinners would be slow. SERIOUSLY! Luckily, it was an internal business meeting so we could laugh it off.

We made reservations on open table for brunch so we had time to make it to the nutcracker. We got there early ( about 1130 for our 12pm reservation). We saw several people outside but the restaurant never opened… no one seemed to know what was going on. )

Arriving early for dinner, we figured it wouldn't be too busy. We were seated quickly and server came to take our order. Our orders were taken and we waited for our drinks. 2 beers came in cans with no glasses. We asked for glasses, which came about 5 minutes later. I watched as a few other diners starting to arrive, and receive their food. At the 1:00 hour mark, our food came out. Well, at least mine did. My wife's order wasn't placed. The Manager offered add'l drinks for free and a discount on the bill, which were appreciated. Having worked in the industry I understand how hectic and demanding restaurant work can be, but when there's only a handful of clients for an entire staff completely missed orders are unacceptable. I suspect our server never entered our order and probably hurried in an order when it was realized. She never even came back to the table from the time we received our drinks. The manager brought out the order and was our only interaction the entire time, while our previous server continued to work other tables. While the restaurant is convenient to the hotel, there are better options only a short walk away.
