It was a little too loud for conversation at the end of our meal but absolutely fantastic in every other way! Highly recommend the crab cakes, redfish, etouffee, and the banana foster bread pudding.

Jackie was our waitress, she gave amazing recommendations! We enjoyed everything! I had the vegetarian jambalaya and my husband had the catfish with jambalaya ! I also had the hurricane category four. Everything was sooo good. If I come back to New Orleans I will eat here again.

Fantastic restaurant- food was very good. Great selection and options. Service was excellent. The courtyard was fabulous- it set the perfect mood for a quiet New Orleans chill meal.

We sat in the courtyard, very nice setting and ambience. The service was very good, but felt a little bit rushed. The food was excellent. The owner/chef came to our table and explained some of the dishes that we had and how they were conceived and developed Definitely go there again

Jasmine our waitress was phenomenal, very knowledgeable and attentive to our needs! Her knowledge of the menu items was spot on. When the GM Josh, found out that I was celebrating my 60th he gave us a glass of champagne to toast with! Remarkable restaurant, ambience and the food and service and leadership! My heart is full! Our waiter acted like he would rather be anywhere else, and he usually was. We waited over 10 minutes for a pen to sign the bill, which we ended up asking the manager for. Turns out he was outside smoking. The $30 Taste of New Orleans was just ok. No spice and small portions. There were no sides served with anything, and overall was just a disappointing experience.

We went for dinner and were seated indoors in the nain dining room. There was no sir clnditioning and the place smelled like stale cigarette smoke. Very musty. We asked to be seated outdoors but they were not abke to accommodate us. The patrons were fanning thenselves and people bussing the tables were sweating. Their clothes appeared dirty. Some patrons left what appeared to be full plates of food on the table. They served water in plastic glasses. We sat for 10 minutes and no one came to check ln us. We de ided to leave. I do not recommend this place and will not return.

We were so pleased that we went twice! The food was delicious, the portions huge and the most pleasant, friendly staff. We will make it a must for our next visit. What a special place to celebrate my husband's retirement.

I ordered 1/2 dozen oysters which were good I have had better but also ordered the crab cake The top part of it was good but 3/4 of the bottom was burnt The server never came around to check so I said something to the bus person the very young manager came over and I showed her the burnt crab cakes she offered to take a couple of dollars off I asked if I could just get another half dozen if oysters since they were good and just pay for a dozen instead of 2 half dozen which was 14 dollars more she said no !!! Way to appreciate your customers I will not be back

For the price, I definitely could have had better food. The shrimp and grits were a greasy mess. The charbroiled oysters were delicious. The waitress was clumsy and had to ask us to repeat the order 3 times to her. We were set next to fountain that nothing but a mosquito pool. Was not impressed.

Perfect quiet creole restaurant in the heart of the city. Close walk to the river and Bourbon street. Loved the food! Recommend the Catfish Decatur - Fried Catfish over jambalaya. My picky husband even loved the jambalaya and said it was “somewhat” spicy (and he cannot handle spice) 🤣

We had a reservation, and were seated immediately. But, we were passed over by several servers before finally being helped. Our waiter said he wasn’t supposed to be ours, which I understand if he was spread then, but he never spent more time than he had to at our table. We didn’t even have the chance to order more drinks every time he would take away an empty glass because he moved so fast. Also, they only give 1 check and you can only use 3 credit cards for the check and have to do the math yourself. We had to spend 10 minutes after dinner trying to figure everything out. This made the whole process very unenjoyable bc it is clearly just a way for the restaurant to be cheap and not have to pay credit card fees. Food was good, but overall disappointed.

We were waiting during a very busy dinner session, when I asked Brandon who our server was. He replied that he would be tonight. Brandon was a great host and made the meal very special. He even provided us with a dessert when he hear it was our 29th wedding anniversary. The food was delicious, but Brandon made the night!

This is my second visit coming here from Virginia and the Cookery did not disappoint. The staff is outstanding particularly the waitstaff! Their attention to every table and backing each other up was very impressive. The food was outstanding particularly the redfish poncetrain. Perfectly seasoned with green beans and potatoe blend. We will continue to recommend them as one of the best dinner venues in the French quarter.

The food was excellent, and the staff was very friendly Our only complaint is that our server was not very knowledgeable of what the restaurant had to offer as far as cocktails/food, etc. Every question we asked, she had to go ask someone. When served our beer, it was in bottles, and it was at room temperature. We weren't even offered a chilled glass, or the option of getting them on draft. We waited longer on our server to check on us, etc than it took to eat our food. It was an early dinner, during the week, and the restaurant wasn't that busy. If the service had been better we would have stayed longer, rather than wanting to leave and go elsewhere.

Service was outstanding. Dining room clean and ambiance breathtaking. Food was delicious as always. We make it a point to always come here when we visit Nola . First class restaurant all around

Service mediocre. Food about the same. Wedge salad was about 1/8 of a lettuce head. Starter jambalaya was so dry. Typical tourist trap type place. Would not recommend.

Food was good but service could have been better. Our waiter must have been new so wrong food was brought to our table and we had to order our drinks twice.

The patio was gorgeous, so we were excited when we arrived. When we got there, the waiter spilled water on one of my coworkers. Usually this wouldn’t be a huge deal, but the rest of the experience wasn’t great. Over all our waiter was very slow, inexperienced and didn’t talk to us one bit. When we ordered drinks, we were told they were out of the specific drinks. The Caesar salad dressing was obviously store bought from a Walmart or something and the lettuce was extremely wilted. We ordered a pasta dish that specified the type of pasta, but we got something completely different. The steak medallions were extremely over cooked and flavorless, which for New Orleans, was a shocker. I’d recommend not to even waste your time.
