Dine on a fusion of Mexican fare and seafood at Nav�os. This restaurant offers beautiful views of Nichupte Lagoon from its terrace, and guests can choose to dine right on the pier. Guests can begin their dining experience with an appetizer of clams in a half shell saut_ed in garlic chili, smoked marlin or carpaccio with marinated octopus and mushrooms at Nav�os. An entree of pumpkin seed and cilantro crusted salmon or filet mignon topped with a tamarind sauce will satisfy the appetite. Vegetarian and pasta dishes are also on the menu. Nav�os hosts private events and takes reservations for large groups.

    Have dined at Navios several times & will go back. We ordered coconut shrimp & spinach pear salad, both fantastic. However, do NOT order the STONE CRAB CLAWS which I made the mistake of doing! 1) They are impossible to eat. Shell crackers, picks & mallets were provided, but I cut myself trying to crack the shells, even though I have been eating lobsters and crabs all my life and am expert at cracking lobster & crab shells. Using the crackers on the shells, resulted in crushingthe hard as a rock shell granules and fragments into the meat. I was amazed I didn't break a tooth on all the shells that were in the meat that I was able to get out and try to eat. The claws are pre-cracked, just enough to get you started, not like snow crabs in Florida, where the meat end is exposed and you just bight off the meat, which slips off the fin inside. The meat on these claws required great force and scraping to remove off the inner fin. Using the mallet was not like Maryland blue crabs, on these crab claws it mostly crushed shell fragments into the meat. 2) Pretty sure claws had been previously frozen, flavor was OK, but crab meat was dry & crumbly when I was able to get meat out of the shells. 3) Crab claws with knuckles attached were served in a flat bowl filled with water & ice, that ran off the table onto my pants as soon as the ice began melting, even after I removed all the crab claws from the bowl, I still got soaked, & used our wine bottle cloth to try to damn the flow, left with stinky, wet pants. 4) Was supposed to be served with melted butter, had to ask 3 times for the butter and when I finally got it, it tasted like sweet syrup of some kind had been added (awful!)

    We went to 4 of the best/nicest restaurants in Cancun and this was BY FAR our favorite!! Diego was our server and was AWESOME, the food was so fresh and outstanding, and you simply CANNOT beat the setting/ambiance here. We will be back!!!!

    Food is good. Not great! Staff is cordial and professional. Get ready for a windy meal. The lagoon is impressive!

    A wonderful dining experience! Delicious seafood dishes while watching the sunset over the lagoon. Especially attentive service by Quinto and Juan made it truly enjoyable.

    The ambiance and setting is pretty, but the service was horrible (waiter was rude and inattentive, left alone for long periods of time, never refilled water, food to table timing, drinks to table timing, etc). The appetizers were flavorful, but the butter portion for the bread while attractively packaged was beyond minuscule, and we had to keep asking for more. The entrees came out cold, hard and overdone. And to top things off, my husband was sick all through the night from the meal.

    My favorite restaurant in Mexico! The location is amazing on the bay with a great sunset! Food & service impeccable! It was fun to have live entertainment with a beautiful woman playing the electric violin.
