We decided to have a couple of starters, artichoke appetizers and a couple of chicken salads. Both were outstanding and the servers split both salads so we could share. (Before we even asked)

I have been going to Narrative for 5 years. Since the last executive chef changed, overall food assortment, service and experience went down significantly. Last time I went and decided not to return until last night when I wanted to give one more try. The experience was overall negative. Service was slow, quality of the food was mediocre and it was another disappointing dinner. We were told there has been a change again with a new executive chef. I hope he/she can make a difference and get back to the quality it used to be.

We visited Narrative Restaurant last night and managed to get a last-minute reservation for six people at 8 PM. Despite being extremely busy, our server Joseph was incredibly kind and attentive. Noticing we had been waiting for our drinks, he had his manager, Miss Alice, come over to take care of us. They treated us to a smorgasbord of the most delicious desserts. The food was outstanding and a great value—definitely recommend the lobster corn dogs. Joseph was a fantastic server, and Miss Alice's courtesy topped off a wonderful evening. Five stars!

The salmon dish I ordered had very little flavor. Also, Open Table should not have a question on its site for this restaurant if a special occasion was being celebrated. I responded yes, and shared info about it as well, only to be told at the end of the meal that Narrative "does not do this".

I brought my family here for Mother's Day lunch. It was not very busy yet it took 20 minutes for a waiter to come over to us. The sun was beaming on our table so we asked if the shade could be lowered and it took another 15 minutes, and the waiter was very rude about it for some unknown reason. Then it took like 20 minutes to just get 4 coffees over, and another 25 for the food to come. Again, it was not busy. Half of the tables were empty at this point. When the food came, it was all cold, and 2 of the orders were all wrong. One of the things that was wrong was simply the wrong type of bread, and when we inquired about getting the right one, the waiter said the kitchen was already closed and there was nothing he could do. Yet, it seems like the food had been sitting out for at least 10 minutes because of how cold it all was. The other food was also not good. Anyways, after speaking to the manager they were able to remake the order that was completely messed up, but it was just a very very unpleasant experience. I've worked in the service industry and I totally totally understand that things happen, but to have a half empty restaurant, take that much time for orders and have so many things go wrong... I had to leave a review. Especially since I came here for a special occasion and it low key ruined the vibes. Very unfortunate and I would not recommend -- at least not for a celebration.

I really hoped Mother’s Day would be a treat for my mother… as in the server would be warm and friendly and/or perhaps make some suggestions or recommendations for what to eat. Instead we felt like an annoyance. It’s really unfortunate when a nice restaurant hires people who just don’t like either people or their job. If you want true service there are much better restaurants in Cherry creek. Food was ok but a little watered down in flavor. Don't waste your $ here.

Came here for Saturday Dinner with my parents who were visiting. A Server was helping a table directly next to ours, made eye contact with everyone at my table but still we sat unattended for almost 15 minutes. Finally we flag him down to ask him where our server might possibly be, and he finally shares that HE is our server, but he was trying to cash out the table next to us. This is completely unacceptable. You do not leave a table waiting like that if they have just come in, especially if you can see they are waiting to be attended to. We had some lady come by to fill our waters but she left immediately after indicated she was not to take care of us. If you have another table you need to finish up, the least you can do to your new table is to let them know what the situation is. He just left us in the dark and expected us to be perfectly fine with it. Soured the entire meal for me which was a shame considering how good all of the food was. I am not sure I want to come back solely because of how our server treated us, even despite him offering to comp a drink or an appetizer. It is not an excuse. If you want to run a top quality restaurant in Cherry Creek you need to train your staff better than this.

Our waiter didn’t check on us after our food was delivered. We wanted to order wine with dinner and had to find another waiter 20 min later. Our waiter finally came by when we were almost ready to go.
