Everything here is so exceptional: the food, the presentation & the personalized service, that I always come here for any specialized occasion. I am GF and dairy-free and have a broad choice on everything but desserts. However, their amazing Mango Sticky Rice (seasonal since the mangos come from Thailand) will soon be back on their menu.

We celebrated a birthday with 5 people and had a terrific meal. Drinks were unusual and delicious. Service was well executed. My favorite restaurant in Evanston.

Food was terrific and staff was wonderful. Really great overall vibe. I don't leave the city often, but would to return to this place. We had a super picky eater with us and she loved every dish!

Noise level was WAY too high. The musician was not outstanding enough to justify making it impossible to talk. Food was truly excellent. That's the reason to come! Cocktails were ok, not so great. The ideas of the cocktails are good, the implementation less so. Service was very good.

We had a lovely dinner. Our server let us taste a few wines when we were undecided decided. The ambiance was wonderful and the food was terrific. Just a great experience

The food was outstanding and the service excellent. The menu selection was a bit different than the typical Thai restaurant and every dish was very flavorful. The Market desert is highly recommended as well as the homemade sausage appetizer.

My friend and I have been there twice. The first time I would have given five stars on everything! The food was amazing. The service was outstanding! The second time one of the dishes we ordered was a bit off. But they were very apologetic and super accommodating in taking it off of our bill. The service on our second visit was not quite on the same level as our first visit, but we still really enjoyed ourselves.

This local spot should be more known! The food is always fantastic (more modern Thai). The service is a pleasure and the Owen always present and checking in. I have found them accommodating too. I brought my parents and we needed a quiet and accessible table. We were set up perfectly. My mom love a new Thai beer she hadn’t tried and they set her up with a six pack to take home. So great in every way.

Had a very nice lunch with a friend. Tried the bits and a lunch plate. The shallots were cooked perfectly with a wonderful chili sauce. The chicken with mushrooms and small potatoes were in a wonderful sauce. Service was terrific.

One of the best restaurant we have been to. Manager, Rush, was so kind. Food was extraordinary and service impeccable. Worth the long drive from Aurora. Will visit again with friends soon.

Some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had - my duck confit and cocktail (don’t remember the name, but it had grilled pineapple and painkiller-like flavors) were outstanding.

This is the best restaurant in Evanston! You truly feel welcomed and that your business is greatly appreciated. Many places don’t care anymore or certainly don’t show that they care. So many choices to dine at so we try to support the ones that really show that they care. This place is truly a jewel! Oh…and the food is beautifully presented and beyond delicious!!

Oh man - where to start?! From the second we walked in the door, until the last sip of coffee, NaKorn was pure joy! We had a delicious steak w green curry, a complex noodle soup with duck and Chinese greens, sweet potato croquettes ... the list goes on. Each dish was excellently prepared (and presented), all the while the manager shared a delightful story about the wall mural and history of the chefs. The room was charming and warm, perfect for date night. You cant go wrong enjoying a meal here!

My date and I had another lovely dining experience there. The restaurant has a very attentive staff. NaKorn has a creative and savory menu, filled with culinary and visual delights. Our main courses were lovingly presented and introduced by the family owners, adding to a very intimate dining experience. We always enjoy our dining experience at NaKorn!

We visited on a Sunday evening to celebrate two birthdays. The service we received was excellent and the restuarant has a lovely atmosphere. We ordered three appetizers, five entrees, a child's meal and they generously gave the birthday guests a dessert which was very much appreciated. Two appetizers were very good, the brussel sprouts and green papaya salad, the lettuce wraps were not our favorite. They were quite spicy with no warning of that, and no sauce was included. The entrees were also mixed, the special duck in broth was good, could have been served hotter. The crab meat curry and chicken curry were delicious. The pad thai was disappointing as the sauce on it was too sweet. We were disappointed with the very small portion of rice served with the curries, and then we had to buy extra servings of rice which were also tiny. Considering the cost of the meals, rice should have been included. The desserts were very tasty, but tiny. As I said they gifted them for the birthdays, so I am not complaining and did appreciate them, but if I had paid menu price for them I would have been disappointed with the small size. Overall, we had a nice evening and enjoyed the birthday celebrations.

Nakorn is a rare find - creative food, beautifully presented and authentic. The staff is kind, well-informed and elevate the dining experience. The cocktails are so unique and a delight that I look forward to before I get there. EXCELLENT food, no matter the dish. This place has become a family favorite for so many reasons....go and enjoy!

Nakorn is one of our favorite restaurants. We love the quality of the food, as well as, the exceptional service. The space is so pretty and relaxing. It is one of the few restaurants in Evanston that makes you feel like you've left the suburbs for the city.

Went to Nakorn for a birthday dinner early on a Friday. All of the staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful when we had questions about the menu & the seasonal specials. Each dish was delicious - full of complex, layered flavors including the house-made desserts (yum!). The Tofu with Swiss Chard and the Pandan Cake are particular standouts. Can't wait to return and sample some of the other dishes.

I’ve passed this restaurant numerous times and finally decided to try it. What a lovely experience we had at NaKorn. The ambience is cozy and the food was delicious. We shared the special appetizer- sweet potato croquettes. They were light heavenly bites of mashed sweet potatoes with a crispy exterior. We shared the green papaya salad which was refreshing. My friend had the pork shank which she thoroughly enjoyed, and I had the shrimp pad Thai which was excellent. The service was very relaxed and very friendly and accommodating. This is a not your neighborhood Thai joint. This is a serious restaurant serving exquisite Thai cuisine.

Everything was perfect. Sam is a wonderful hostess, making you feel welcome and even excited to see you! I loved the addition of the guitar player, he was great, hitting the right tone. Our waiter Boyin, is gracious and knowledgeable! He made wonderful recommendations for us and then went over and beyond and brought us a complimentary salad - which was the best thing I ever ate, the pink pomelo salad - delish!! We loved our meal, we even enjoyed causally getting to know the other guests sitting near by, everyone seemed to be in a festive mood. Loved it!!

Great place, great food, great service. Live jazz accompanied the welcoming and warm service. The entire menu is interesting and thoughtful. Their specialty drinks are well conceived and delicious. Each appetizer and main dish was outstanding, each with unique and fun flavoring. The desserts were excellent too! The service was attentive but not intrusive and as nice as could be, including with great menu recommendations and descriptions. The pricing was reasonable for this great evening out.

Nakorn is superlative in every way. I used to work as a cook & waitress (not as dignified as their chefs) so, I have high standards. They are not just outstanding in every way, but very personable & will answer all your questions. Each dish has distinct & enchanting flavors with beautiful presentation & a cheerful atmosphere. They have fun drinks plus GF & Vegan options. Some of my favorite dishes, like fried tofu & chard, have boring names, but are some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. The owners & manager are actively on-site & it shows in the overall quality & personality. This is the only Evanston restaurant I go to anymore except for a few quick take-outs. Worth the price point for a truly transporting experience!
