So, to start off, this is about my 3rd review, and we've been here several times now. Staff had been great and on top of things. If you need something, they take care of it. I rated noise level as higher, but it is karaoke night, so the music, singing, or kids running around and games at the arcade with people winning can all make for a more noisy but fun experience. We like that part about MYL because it has those elements and is different. We did not order much on the menu this time. We love the fish and chips, and that's one of the best things they have going for them. We've had a few other things, tuna melt, grilled cheese, burger, hot dog, etc, and they were just ok but were also a while back, so maybe they've improved. For the price, they could use a little more on them. Love the chips and salsa. After our negative experiences and talking with owners and managers, we understand their business better now and how they do things and why. We'll be back and experience some other theme nights and do in for lunch here and there. Thank you, Kimberly and Mark, for your attention to our past review and talking with us and encouraging us to come back. You have a good place and we'll encourage others to come play and experience it. Thank you

It was our first time there, and it's definitely perfect for kids. You order and pay through the app, which makes it easy and convenient. I did think the service would be a bit better since the waiters pretty much just bringbout food, but it took us forever to flag one down. But overall I enjoyed the place.

Super easy ordering and quick delivery! Great place for everyone. Kids area and adult beverages as well. Food was great! Will definitely be back.

I made reservations for Cinco De Mayo and I was not aware of a 2 hour window for dining. My Yard Live actually 'booted' us out telling us that we had to go. Or, we could sit at the bar due to the next reservation was due any minute. No where on the open table reservation table did it indicate there would be a 2 hour window. And no one at My Yard Live mentioned it to us as well. I was rather embarrassed and felt it was very rude of them as we were enjoying the music and ambience. I am not sure if I will go to My Yard Live again. I have been several times (without making a reservation) And after 3 hrs or so, I never got asked to leave. Go figure?! Alex

Good Afternoon Alex, thanks for reaching out!! Again we are so so sorry for the misunderstanding!!! It's not exactly a two hour window, it was another reservation had booked after yours, you are supposed to be notified of this immediately upon arrival. Just as there could've been a table reserved before your table arrived we would've informed them as well. In doing so, I was more than happy to bring a table outside for you both to stay and enjoy the event. Again a very unfortunate circumstance and we are very truly sorry. I jumped onto Toast and looked at your check and your friend Maureen's check. Both checks were given discounts and I am more than happy to email you over the copies of both if that's helpful? I really enjoyed my time at my yard applied beer. It was my first time there and was pleasantly surprised with the many options you have available to entertain the kids as well as the adults. The manager was kind enough to let our girls sing, and they were mature and did a good job, I plan to meet my wife next time and most likely once again order the fish and chips as it was fantastic

Food was great, we had some happy hour specials and appetizers. The drinks were delicious too. Most of all, it was nice to mingle with our friends while the kids all had a wonderful time in the arcade area. Karaoke night was a hit too.

The space it was a good experience, I celebrated my birthday and had lots of friends with their kiddos and the space it’s very nice, the kids and adults had so much fun. I really recommend and for sure we want to come back for another experience.

The staff at My Yard are always amazing! We arrived early than our booked reservation and our hostess was able to seat with 10 min., at a table that suited my kids sensory needs perfectly! My Sons have a hard time being too close to the live music, and the staff do their best(just ask for quieter seating) to always accommodate us(seating us inside, or on the side yard). My Sons love playing outside on the play structure while we wait for our food. Being able to play games, after they eat, is great motivation to sit for a family dinner! My kids love the chicken strips and grilled cheese, on the 12 and under menu. The Nachos and Fish and chips(are huge portions) and are always good! I tried the new spicy poki tostadas and they were delicious!!! The spicy was complimented perfectly with a sweet Draft Brand soda. We love the opportunity to play games, while listening to good music and eating great food! We play the basket ball and air hockey games as a family, but my Sons(8 and 10yo) always make new friends on the playground. From the restaurant manager to the busers and bartenders...every employ at My Yard has a great attitude and helps to create an inclusive atmosphere. We didn't know anyone when we moved to San Marcos, but we found a place that consistently feels fun and familiar, like coming home to your neighborhood family hangout.

Always a good ambiance and service but the Food and drink is way to expensive for the quality. Three sandwiches and a burger with two fountain drinks for $70?!

The service was exceptional. Both the hostess and waitress were friendly and helpful. We had a large group with a couple kids; everyone had a great time hanging out and listening to the band. The food is always good too. Definitely one of our favorite places to go with friend and family!

Took my 4yr old and he had a blast playing. I got to enjoy a few sips and wings. Great family-run business that really knows how to cater to their clientele. Prices were fair, service was impeccable, highly recommend MYL!

We went with a small friend group and were sat outside. The outside ambiance is great. I highly recommend it. Although we went on the live band night and as much as we loved the live music, we could not hear each other, it was very loud. You order at your table by scanning a QR code. This is a little problematic as some of our group did not have the tech ability and wanted to pay cash. This wasn't a choice. Our food took a very long time since it was the busiest time and they did run out of a major entree item. The inside of the establishment was lively too with the Padres game but it was so lively that I was glad I was outside. People were really just hanging out for the long haul. The floors were messy with spilled drinks. I felt bad for the staff. I would go again, but would probably sit at the bar or go with people that I didn't need to talk to and catch up with.

Next time perhaps we could seat you in an area where you can hear the band, but it not take over your conversation. We have tons of seating where that scenario could work for ya! We do take cash and that is always always welcomed. The staff as well at anytime can get your tab started or even take your order when needed. Thank you for your recommendation of our Venue and we hope the next time you join us we can make the overall experience an amazing one!!

Very friendly staff, nice venue. Unfortunately, we were not able to tolerate the extremely loud and drunk karaoke singers. We asked for a different table, but there was nothing available, so we left before ordering. I doubt that we would return.

This is actually a group that works with us to hire people on the spectrum, so we apologize if it maybe got misconstrued, they were just having a good time after their private party. We like this place and the food is good but kinda pricey but everywhere it seems that way. A fair warning... we went for Thursday Karaoke night and reserved a table an hour before it started and planned on eating dinner and having drinks. Upon being seated, we were told we needed to order using our phones. We're seniors, so it's not easy for us, but we managed. We were also told that if all tables fill up, if we've been there longer than others, we would need to give up our table to others on the wait list. This meant standing which, with my mobility issues, is a problem. We mentioned this and the host said they would try to accommodate. As it turned out, we didn't end up needing to move but worried about this the entire evening. She said it's rare that they have to have you give up your table but still is crazy to do that to a group that is eating and drinking. We finished our food but we still ordered beer. The place never got busy enough for overflow and the weather probably helped that. The table behind us got seated are us and was not told about the table seating situation. So be warned if you go on a busy night, this could happen. Overall the place is cool, with arcade games for adults and kids and outdoor area is nice. Staff is very nice. Food and drink comes out fast which is good.

Everything was great with one exception. We had a time limit on table and our food arrived 10min before we had to leave the table. Not good at all.

It appears you had a great time, but there may have been some communication hiccups? That certainly falls on us and we are terribly sorry for that miss!! The only time we operate with two hour seating times for the tables with an attached QR is during very high volume days and event days....the caveat to this is only if there's other reservations thereafter or if there's a waitlist at the door. Otherwise you're welcome to have the table for as long as you'd like!! We have lots of common space areas available to still be able to enjoy the Venue, entertainment, drinks, and games! Again we are really really sorry if somehow we weren't clear in communication.

We just celebrated my son’s birthday here and it went so smoothly. Kids loved the arcade, adults loved the food and beverage options. With the scan at the table ordering system we were able to quickly order food and drinks for everyone, but guests also had the opportunity to order on their phones if they wanted. Couldn’t have asked for quicker, kinder service.

I was really disappointed. I first made reservations for outside but I was worried it would be too cold so I changed it to inside seating. I think they should have told me on the phone that I wouldn't be able to see or hear the Mardi Gras band. Everything was horrible! There was really loud recorded music inside so we could not hear the band. There were seven of us and we couldn't speak to each other because the recorded music was too loud. We did not like the food ordering system because it had to be on our cell phones. We started out with two orders of nachos. It was so bad no one wanted it. The cheese on top was like processed Velveeta, the sour cream was watered down, and the chicken was sparse. After that, no one wanted to stay and order a meal.

Staff was great. Super kid friendly! The broccoli was my favorite, the cider had me going! Will definitely come back.

Great fresh food and craft beer! Awesome live band Ghost Radio!! Very family friendly with arcade games. My Yard Live is a win-win-win all around!

We wanted to go and hear some live music and have a bite to eat. Of course, we enjoyed some Quatro Amigos Mexican Lager and the Ahi Tuna Bowls!!! The band, “Ghost Radio”, was so good and kept the audience engaged and rockin!. The staff at My Yard Live was welcoming, attentive, and upbeat. We love MYL!

Service and food were great. Live music wasn’t my taste, and there was no where to sit away from it.

For future visits if you don't want to be seated in an area where the band(s) are performing we do have a plethora of seating inside that might interest you!!

A group of friends and I chose to watch the football games to see who will be in the Super Bowl. They had a lot of different events going at the same time including live music so it was hard to focus on the game.

Good afternoon! Thank you for reaching out. We definitely had a lot happening this past Sunday with a girls Volleyball Fundraiser outside, along with Live music on our Outdoor stage and the final two games that determine the Super Bowl as you mentioned. We had it playing Live indoors and do our best to put moderate volume on the patio closest to the TVS outside in hopes that guests both indoors and out can enjoy the game(s). While we are a very lively Venue we do apologize that you didn't get to enjoy the game(s) the way you had hoped!! This was not our intention and do hope you find it in your heart to give us another shot! If you do decide to come back in please ask for Kimberly or Ryan and we will ensure your experience is top notch!! Thanks again.

We went to see sir lou and kareoke .it was good hardly any singers so hubby got to sing a lot. Games were ok mainly for kids but over all good time. If I had anything to say it was really cold in the place. But good cause of space and. A nice place to take the whole family. Parents cold relax and sng. On Thursday nights and kids can play so save on childcare.. thank u for accommodating us.

Came to have dinner and enjoy some music with James and Nick, a couple of the dudes from “4Dudes Brew”! Of course, we enjoyed drinking their newest brew “4 Wise Dudes IPA” along with the Ahi Tuna Bowl,BBQ Bacon Cheese Burgers and Chicken Tenders. The place was packed when we arrived, but having made a reservation, our table was ready. It was great sitting outside, listening to the live music. Even though it was pretty cold out, all of the outdoor heaters were plentiful, and we were never cold. Perfect night!
