Comida deliciosa, la atención del mesero igual espectacular. El único detalle es que se fue la luz, y el restaurant no usa comandas para pasar la orden por lo que los meseros estaban haciendo memoria para poder hacer a mano una cuenta y tardamos casi una hora en poder irnos. Fue una situación extraordinaria que seguramente nunca pasa pero la experiencia en el restaurante quedó disminuida.

Lo visito con frecuencia para comer con invitados de fuera, su carta no es la mejor pero es buena y el lugar agradable. Esta vez reservamos en interior (con aire acondicionado) porque íbamos con un bebé pero nos sentaron en la terraza, al momento de pedir el cambio nadie (meseros, capitán, recepción, gerente) quiso hacer el cambio y contestaban con bastante descortesía, alegando que estaba lleno cuando no estaba ni a la mitad de su capacidad, eso acabó con la “bonita experiencia”.

Reservamos una mesa en el patio, y la temperatura ambiente estaba algo alta, la cual no permitía disfrutar de la cena familiar. El capitán se encargo de asignarnosnuna mesa en la zona con aire acondicionado, la cual abrieron para nosotros. Eso nos permitio disfrutar de la velada.

Platillos típicos deliciosos. Gran opción de tener salón con clima o terraza. Me encantó asistir al desentierro de la cochinita y la explicación. Lo recomiendo mucho.

Lugar totalmente recomendado, el servicio perfecto, la comida es deliciosa. Si quieren probar varios platillos, tienen la opción de pedir cuatro platillos para dos personas, y así degustar de la exquisita comida yucateca

The restaurant is primarily set in a wonderful courtyard with large trees, surrounded by handsome large dining rooms, decorated in artful use of sisal, rope and other fiber art, which seem to be used for larger groups. Due to its name, one would think the servers would embellish more about the menu and food selection to help you select local specialties, but there was none of that. I had hope to have en exemplary dish of the Yucatan specialty chochinita pibil, but my husband’s casual lunch of the same at our hotel that day was just as good. Both lacked the deep flavor that dish is known for, and the portion of pork is way too large for the average person (and no traveler can take it home!). I felt terrible leaving it on the plate. Food wise, nothing was great, only average. The stuffed squash was overcooked and extremely soggy. I wouldn’t place it in the Main course section, it’s very light. Under the Snacks section the round fried discs of spinach, white beans and corn were flavorful but hard as a hockey puck. In the end they reminded me of Fritos and went well with white wine but they were too hard to pass as I dish I would recommend. The museum is but one small room of artifacts and an unmemorable, short video. I wish I could say better things but it left me feeling like a wonderful idea that had succumbed to a tourist trap execution.

Food was excellent, however service is not so good, they received a lot of visitors so the attention it’s not so good. Ambiance and food are great!! ☺️

A su personal le falta un poco de amabilidad. Tenía reserva a las 14:45 y llegué 14:41 cuando me acerqué la señorita me dijo “aquí está su reserva pero ustedes llegó antes de la hora tiene q esperar “ (4 minutos) y nos hicieron pasar a una mesa que estaba vacía desde q llegamos. Por otro lado quisimos pedir el combinado de 4 tacos (quería cambiar un taco de lomitos de Valladolid por cualquier otro) y el mesero contestó “no, no se puede porque así viene armado el plato, la verdad eran tacos estoy segura q los sirven en ese momento. Y la forma como contestan no es amable y eso le baja la calidad a tan bonito y buen lugar. Pero voy a regresar porque su comida me gusta ojalá mejoren su actitud.

Nice place but there were people waiting to be seated and we were rushed through our meal. The main course was delivered while we had barely started our appetizers.

Wonderful authentic Yucatecan food in a lush courtyard setting. Pollo pibil (chicken and mild peppers in traditional Yucatec sauce, wrapped in banana leaves and cooked in a barbecue pit) was spectacular! Fish in a traditional sauce also excellent.

Fantastic experience! I’m Mexican, from Mayan descent, and although I cook Yucatecan, at MUGY they have mastered the art of cooking with a beautiful presentation, true to technique and tradition. But our very favorite is their impeccable service. Don’t miss the chance to visit and eat here!

Wonderful restaurant with a beautiful courtyard and an attached museo to showcase the Yucatán food culture. Friendly and welcoming service from the staff. Menu has great selection and variety with many nice options. Chaya piña drink is one of the best that we’ve had. Overall a very pleasant experience and it felt like a nice oasis away from the heat and bustle of historical downtown.

El museo muy bonito, recomendamos pasar antes comer, porque conforme se acerca la hora de cierre, las personas meseras se ponen muy intensas y te corren. Lo que es muy desagradable. Les ves barriendo y limpiando sobre ti. Mejor si cierran a las 23:00 no acepten reservaciones desde las 21:00 y así evitan un mal rato a todas las personas. La sopa de lima está muy sabrosa, pero la carne de la pechuga no es magra, venían huesitos, y gorditos del pavo... y no es agradable.

La comida regular y algo costosa para lo que era, el servicio fue bastante malo y la actitud del mesero fue grosera. El lugar es bonito pero la experiencia no fue agradable.

Una delicia de lugar! La mejor cochinita pibil a la leña que he probado hasta hoy. Me gustó bastante el lugar, el personal muy amable y atento. Si vas a Mérida te recomiendo ir a este lugar, yo reservé por Open Table antes de ir y fue súper, al llegar me pasaron muy rápido. Fui sola y me sentí muy a gusto en todo momento.

Tolles Ambiente und Ultra leckeres Essen. Leider kamen wir nicht zum Hauptgericht, da die Vorspeisen schon so reichlich waren.
