Taken from the Hindu language, ‘Mumbai Maska’ translates to ‘Cream of Mumbai’. Our name is the perfect description of the type of food we want to bring to you fresh, authentic and exceptionally flavoured using all the spices and colours of Mumbai. The food was well presented and delicious, restaurant was quite nice. We ended up going for lunch on what turned out to be the hottest day of the year. Not sure if the AC was broken, but there were stand up fans everywhere. It was very warm inside and we had to ask for the fans to be turned towards us (we were the only ones there at the time). A cooler environment with proper AC on a hot day would have made the experience better. A bit on the expensive side but happy to go back and try more of the delicious food when it's not a hot day.

Delicious food and reasonably priced. The service was attentive although there were some issues e.g. the waiter not being able to identify which dishes were which and seeming confused by dietary requirements. Apart from this it is a lovely restaurant and would definitely go again.

The restaurant was lovely, and the waitress made the experience all the more enjoyable. She gave great recommendations and was prompt with the delivery of our food. The food was good quality with just the right spice level, and the portion size was on point. We would highly recommend it to our friends and family who like Asian food.

We booked our table for two, unfortunately we were sat just as you walk in the door, there are 3 tables for four here, the huge problem is that when people come in and are waiting to for their table they sit in a row looking directly at us which is extremely off putting, you also have delivery bike riders waiting to collect takeaways, we felt very uncomfortable at times. Food is amazing and service is great. Wine is lovely and cocktails were wonderful. Price is reasonable.

Service was very good and attentive. The restaurant only had 2 other tables occupied on a Thursday night. Decor was nice. The food tasted pretty average and nothing special - we found our starters and mains very salty. For the high price I expected the food to be a lot better. Sadly we won't be returning or recommending this restaurant.

Excellent food and service. A hidden gem in Chingford Mount. The food was delicious, the staff were so helpful and accommodating. They have a vegan menu online but would be good if that was available in the restaurant and vegan options indicated on the main menu. Other than that, I would highly recommend and can’t wait to return!

We came here because we saw the good reviews. We were not disappointed. Very friendly and great service. Nice atmosphere and the food and cocktails was very tasty. We are definitely going back.

If you’re from india you wont love the food. It’s okay. Dal makhni wasn’t good and it’s sad because dal makhani is so basic. Starters were okay

As local restaurants go this was a find and then some. Since we discovered it we've been multiple times. But here's the thing, this restaurant can give the Michelin starred city restaurants a run for their money, the food is far superior. But they do need to iron out some things that really do let it down. - always out of stock of particular alcohols, despite what day of the week it is - service is very slow even when the restaurant is quite - prices on the menu aren't always correct Despite all this the food really is to die for, actually thinking about it is making me hungry lol

Our first visit to Mumbai Maska and the decor is very nice. Our waitress was very friendly but it was disappointing that neither of the lamb shank dishes nor the two dosa dishes were available. The food was delicious and full of flavour. However the service went downhill when the restaurant got busy and being a Saturday night it was very busy. There is a lot of staff but walking around not very effectively. Walking past diners sitting in front of empty dishes without clearing them. We had finished our main courses and were left sitting with our plates for at least 20 minutes, if not longer. Then a waiter came and cleared the empty wine bottle and wine glasses without asking whether we’d like to order any more and without taking the empty plates or food dishes. Eventually the waitress came to clear the plates and at the same time asked if we’d like any desserts, which we declined. Instantly she came with the bill and the card reader. Not really giving us a chance to study the bill as we were told that there was a group waiting for our table. It felt very rushed at the end and could have been made so much more pleasant if only someone had started clearing our table when we had finished eating and not 20+minutes later. We had also asked for the rice to be put into a container so we could take it home but were not given it as it was clear that once we paid there was no need to look after us. Because the food was so nice we would come back but definitely not on a weekend evening when it’s so busy and the staff are not paying attention or caring for their customers.

Food was really nice and service was excellent. Overall the restaurant was and ambience was nice but unfortunately the restaurant was cold and due to this took away the coziness atmosphere. I did tell the waitress a few times she did put on another heater due to this I had to give 4 stars

My go to place, anytime I want a meal that is guaranteed to satisfy. Try the fish curry, chicken tikka and okra fries together. Excellent 👌🏿

Slow service, table wasn’t ready and had to wait 10 mins. Had to call waitress few times to take order. Asked for bill they left it on table and continued talking to each other . I had to wake out for them to realise I haven’t paid and bring out the card machine. Food is good, lasooni dall was horrible and we relayed that to chef. They still charged us for it. Small Resturant , not great ambience.

Our dining experience was a very pleasant one. Good service as soon as we walked in, and throughout. The food and flavours were absolutely lovely and we would definitely dine there again. Prices are reasonable and the portions...starters alone could be filling! Next time we will try the street food section too. Thank you.
