A Family Tradition For Over 80 Years

Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant first opened in 1934 with Mrs. Knott and her children serving the first customers in their tea room. The restaurant has grown over the years into one of the largest in California, but the classic fried chicken dinner is still made the same way today using Mrs. Knott's recipes.

Every complete chicken dinner includes handmade biscuits, side salad, choice of cabbage or cherry rhubarb, three pieces of fried chicken, and mashed potatoes smothered in gravy. For dessert: your choice of boysenberry pie or boysenberry sherbet. Many other dishes are also available including grilled chicken, salads, and a number of appetizers. A full-service bar, serving signature boysenberry-infused cocktails, is also available.

Currently, we are following all government-issued regulations and seating is currently outside only. Thank you in advance for understanding and we are in this together.

Everything was absolutely spectacular. we went for the Mother's Day Brunch and the food was hot, fresh, and delicious. My mom hadn't been there since she was a kid and loved the fried chicken. She said the chicken tasted exactly as she remembered. We loved that Snoopy and Charlie Brown came out as we were so not expecting that. I highly recommend coming to Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner.

The food was exceptional. Enjoyed the Knott's biscuits and oatmeal raisin cookies as well as the crab legs. Also enjoyed the visits/photo ops from Snoopy and Charlie Brown.

Overpriced for season pass holders. The tiny signs of each food are way too small, need to be much bigger to read. Why no outdoor tables as before?

Not as good as i remember. I wasn't expecting 5 star but not food I can get at golden corral for 12.99$. For 72$ you'd expect alot more. Live and learn...

I took my wife and my 1.5 year old here for Mothers Day Brunch and it did not disappoint. Our server Andrew was amazing and the food was delicious, especially the carrot cake! 10 out of 10 would recommend this place

I understand it’s an experiment for the boysenberry brunch but felt it was a bit over priced. Disneys character dinning is cheaper. Also the food selection was very minimal for the price. It’s a once in a lifetime experience but I wouldn't pay again to do it.

ATTENTION This reservation is NOT for the regular restaurant. This is for their BUFFET BRUNCH. We had no idea that this was what we had got a reservation for and it was $80 a person. Do NOT make our mistake by booking a reservation! We recommend simply walking up to the counter to wait for a table when you get there. It feels like we got scammed with this!

The boysenberry brunch was okay. LOTS of options, but most of them tasted mediocre. The fried chicken was the best. My friend loved the omelette. Salmon was terrible and tough. Glad I experienced it, but I wouldn’t do it again. I’d stick to the regular menu.

It was buffet style, and this was the first time we were extremely disappointed. The food was cold. The dessert was soggy. We told the manager when she came around and she used the excuse that the AC was on. The food does not get cold from the serving area to the table. I would recommend only ordering from the menu and avoid the buffet when it is offered.

The pros: our server, Claudia, could not have been more lovely. She and the guy working the omelette station as well as the ladies at check in were all super friendly and welcoming. Claudia went above and beyond throughout our dining experience. The boysenberry mimosas were surprisingly delicious and, although the glasses are small, they were never empty. The coffee was amazing. We are all coffee connoisseurs and all four of us commented on how much we enjoyed the coffee. The food was plentiful and the choices were many. The omelette station was fabulous and our omelettes were made fresh to order. The chicken, as you would imagine, was spectacular. The desserts were fantastic. I highly recommend the carrot cake, even though that doesn’t seem like a first choice when stared down by boysenberry and apple pies. The cons: other than the chicken, which clearly had constant turnover, the other dishes were lukewarm to downright cold. Specifically, the carving station which had a lovely prime rib and honey glazed ham, offered only cold meat. The same went for the macaroni and cheese, the mashed potatoes, the meatloaf. I even had a piece of meatloaf that came out in a fresh pan, and noted it to be lukewarm. Recommendations: if you are going to spend the money, I highly recommend that you come early and that you plan either a visit to the park or something else to allow for walking off the calories and processing the excessive sodium intake that you will have enjoying this brunch.

It is a little pricey however the food is delicious. Options were plenty. We will definitely be doing g this again next year. Bottomless mimosas, boysenberry options galore and deserts a plenty. Loved it !

We visited Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner Restaurant to enjoy the Boysenberry Brunch during the Boysenberry Festival at Knott's Berry Farm. It was solid, but only okay. While Boysenberry was in a lot of items, it also was more a colorant than a flavor across the board, which made it Instagram-worthy, but rather boring and disappointing for $72 per person. Jenni, our server, and Sal, and a couple of other folks were fantastic, so the customer service side of things was solid, but I likely would recommend spending money to get into the park and enjoy the Boysenberry Festival and the food items available in park instead of dropping the coin on this stand alone experience outside the parks gates.

Overall I thought the food and service was excellent. I feel like the selection did become a little less compared to last year for the same price, but that's pretty much going anywhere these days. There were some kids running around and there were quite a few birthdays so it was a little noisy as well. It was still a wonderful time and I would definitely go back. I wish they caught parking which is $30 but they do not so keep that in mind.

First timers here! We have been coming to Knotts for over 25 years and never have we stepped in here to Mrs.Knotts restaurant for the boysenberry brunch! Today was the day and it was AMAZING. The food,drinks, desserts, the service, the vibe everything was great.

This review is for the Easter brunch only. Made reservations, was super excited about going. Something about Mrs Knott's chicken dinner restaurant, nostalgia! I hadn't been there in years nor had my friend that attended with me. Brunch was expensive, $72 each. We were seated by the hostess in a very timely manner, she said she was going to get somebody to come by and wipe the table off but we were welcome to start with the buffet. We didn't eat anything all day, and went ahead and started getting food. The prime rib stand, very raw! I thought I would come back when they got a new piece. A friend of mine got it, too much red for me. The options were lackluster for the amount of money we spent. We got back to the table, no silverware no water. Waited at our table for almost 10 minutes, and still nobody helped us. We had to basically go and scavenge the restaurant for our own silverware. About 20 plus minutes later, a waiter came by with silverware, but we had shown him we already got it. He took our drink orders, and we saw beverages within about 15 minutes. I'm not saying that the restaurant wasn't busy, but they weren't serving anybody. It was a buffet. Service was terrible, they never bought out another piece of prime rib. They had brought out a piece of mystery meat? When we asked the gentleman behind the counter, he said he wasn't sure what it was. Scary! For the money, I will not be doing this brunch again. Service was terrible, and food was lackluster. I would have preferred just to order off the regular menu. Very disappointed.

This is our Go-To place for every holiday. We love the food, the visits from Snoopy & Charlie Brown. The quality of food is outstanding. Service is above incredible and that's all due to our server, KELLI. She's the reason we go back and request her section EVERY SINGLE TIME. If we have to wait, then we will wait. Come hungry and enjoy this brunch, all is fresh and delicious. Thanks Knotts & Kelli. See you soon!

Went for Easter brunch. The food was subpar except the omelet bar. Ryan the omelet chef is great and makes some tasty stuff. All other food was disappointing. Dried out chicken, soggy Eggo waffles, stale looking desserts, over salted rice. Their service was incredibly frustrating! Nice people, but painfully slow and absent. We were there nearly two hours and not by choice but because it took that long to have our server come around for drinks and the check. Only got 2 refills on mimosas. Charlie Brown came out once to say hi, but no other characters. Did not feel like Easter and was way overpriced for what we got.

Easter Brunch was one of the best experiences we had. Great food, atmosphere, and the character dining was a pleasant surprise! Our server Kiara was busy but outstanding service considering. Ryan also made an EXCELLENT omelette and was so nice

A nice experience and excellent set of food options. Some of the park characters even came out to visit and take pictures with guest who wanted them. The only item that was disappointing was this, some of the food was at best warm, not hot.

The food was pretty good although the waffles were abysmal and the “champagne” seemed really cheap. For $72 a person I expected a decent champagne to be used and the quality of the breakfast choices to be better. The fried chicken and desserts were good but a lot of it seemed really cheap and not quality level. We will go somewhere else next year and save some money.

It was great, I been coming for Easter for over 45yrs. Only problem was with the ego waffles and French toast lol I mean for the price you think we could get some good pancakes like from the menu we had before. All and all still good time as always.

This was a bucket list item for us, being a long time fan and visitor of the park and had not visited in many years. Even booking weeks in advance we could only get a 3:45 reservation. Arranged our day around it, then got to the restaurant and half the place was empty. We got seated quickly but wait service was very, very slow. Probably spent about 30 minutes longer here than we needed to be. Food was generally good and wait staff was friendly, just weren't prepared to always be looking over my shoulder for the waitress. I might have enjoyed a dinner in the park more.

I had a disappointing experience during the Sunday buffet on 3/15, I asked for a medium rare slice of prime rib and the carver gave me a well-done slice and said “close enough.” The steamed vegetables were too salty and the gravy was bland. The best part of the experience was the nice omelet chef who smiled and waved at us as we walked by. I also saw him help an elderly guest who was having difficulty pouring syrup. I had to ask several times for table side condiments, and bowls for the posole.

Food was basically tasteless. It is definitely not like the Knott’s of days gone bye. The best tasting item was the boysenberry pie. Service was fast and Claudia was a very good waitress.

I wish the Boysenberry brunch wasn’t $72. The food wasn’t worth it at all and neither of us were drinking alcohol at the time. No signage anywhere. We felt like we got robbed.

I loved the Boysenberry Buffet, I can't wait to go again. The service was the best. It cost a lot but, if you look at other buffet prices it's about the same.

It was such a lovely Sunday lunch in an iconic venue. The food is plentiful and so delicious. Our server Lilly was a doll and so thoughtful. We enjoyed the great experience
