Mr. Tipple’s heralds back to a 1950s NYC basement. Cozy. Dark. Boozy. The intimate setting features local jazz artists up close and personal. It’s a joint where you come as you are, hear great music, tap your toes, and sip a properly chilled cocktail.

My name is Mr. Tipple. Just a simple and laughable bloke hailing from London. I run a recording studio. My friends joke that you’ll oft find me spinning cocktails, not reeling tape. After a few too many, I usually just sit back and enjoy the music, having forgotten to hit record. Regardless, the band is always jiving, the whiskey is always cold, and we’re having a smashing good time.

This intimate venue provided a perfect setting for drinks and a light meal. The jazz went way beyond expectation. The Charles Unger Experience performance was some of the best live jazz I’ve ever heard. The entire group was fantastic but Mr. Unger is a master saxophonist. This was a rare treat!!

Love the vibe at Tipples. The music, service and food are all outstanding. Feels like a NYC jazz club, but without the formality and expense.

This is a really fun atmosphere with great music, great food and great drinks. Expect to spend $100 a person including the ticket price.

Great spot! Good food. Service just 'ok'. I am excited to come back, however I don't appreciate the idea that after dinner and paying cover charge for the reservation, you'd be asked to move after 90 minutes. For me, it would mean leaving altogether as I am unable to stand for long periods should there be no available seating at bar.

The ambience was very akin to a cool and arty jazz establishment. I liked my seat at the bar and was able to see and hear the musical performance. The show by Nick Rossi and the Jazzopators tribute of Ellington's compositions was suberb. All nine band musicians were stellar artists and played excellently! I will return to see them again, after this second amazing experience, and can hardly wait for then, my immense gratitude to Mr. Tipple's Jazz Club!
