Ouvert en 2006 par le restaurateur de renommée mondiale Michael Chow, le MR CHOW - TriBeca est le restaurant qui a reçu le dernier 5 Star Diamond Award par l'American Academy of Hospitality Sciences pour son excellence, son service et sa cuisine, c'est la deuxième adresse après la principale de NYC sur la 57th Street. Cette dernière adresse branchée est entourée d'une terrasse et d'un joli bar qui ouvre à 17h00 tous les jours. Le NY Magazine a écrit en 2006 : « Manger au restaurant Mr Chow, c'est comme participer à une fête itinérante, qui a migré à travers 4 décennies, 3 continents et une myriade de raviolis à la vapeur ». Kwok Hor, chef cuisinier du TriBeCa, est un professionnel très respecté dans l'industrie de la cuisine chinoise et a donné de nombreuses conférences à la Hong Kong Culinary Association. Le menu du MR CHOW se compose d'une combinaison de spécialités authentiques de Pékin, de recettes originales, de poulet au satay, de noodles et de Ma Mignon MR CHOW, tous crées par nos chefs passionnés et talentueux. Very disappointed with the waiter service. I’ve been to Mr.Chow before and this instance was embarrassing to say the least. Firstly, our waiter was misleading as he was pushing us to order an extensive amount of food for the sake of the plates being “family style” when I’m familiar with the portions at the restaurant and it was unjustified. After we rejected his “recommendation” , he never returned to our table and sent over another waiter. Moreover, it was my friends birthday and we let the staff know beforehand. After our dinner, no one brought out a dessert menu and only brought out the birthday girls dessert, as if they were trying to usher us out of the restaurant. Very unprofessional and seemingly trying to punish us for not taking up his recommendation.

Always A good place to eat. The glazed prawns are a must have. Been to MC in Beverly Hills, Vegas, and now Tribeca. Always great food and service.

Extremely disappointed with our experience. The service was rushed, the food was room temperature and bland. Portions were small and bill was ridiculously high. Left underwhelmed and hungry. Would not ever return.

I have been going to MR. Chow for many year and the chicken Satay and Ma mignon for me are the go to! As everything in nyc, time makes changes and the crow was a bit different and overall the service was great except for one waiter who brought us the check even though, we didn’t ask for it and we were going to ask for more drinks.

All in all experience felt rushed. We were in and out within 45 minutes. Asked to change my wine glass because it was dirty, then my fork because it was dirty as well. Check came as we wrapped up our last bite without even asking for it. All in all, very loud, we were seated next to service station and were constantly being knocked into. First and last time at this location. Brought my husband for his birthday because I told him he absolutely HAD to try it and honestly, was not what we expected.

Feels like a colossal rip off. Food is average at best. Waiters push the upsell. Service is often and good however you leave feeling underwhelmed.

Unfortunately the portion size of the food to the high prices was extremely disappointing and I would not recommend anyone dining there. We had to get pizza after due to still being hungry even though we paid $300 for just 3 people.

Never been here , and I must say it was amazing . Had an amazing server by the name of Mr Cruz . The workers treated us very well . The food was amazing and I had the delicious wine from Mr .chow . I do recommend if you plan on taking someone special or a group of friends .

Service was rushed and we were being constantly upsold. They never offered us a tap water option and by the time we realized we were being served expensive bottled water it was too late. Fell for that old trick. We ordered a la carte - 3 apps and 4 main courses for 5 people (more than enough food) — but when the bill came they tried to push off the $180 prix fixe menu which we had not ordered. They backed off only after we called them out on the math — a $200+ difference — and called for the manager. If you’re going to pay $50 for a pretty basic (aggressively flavored and sauced) Chinese food then you should feel taken care of. This restaurant is one massive tourist hustle.

It was good not amazing. As we came here to celebrate a special occasion I had higher expectations as it has a great reputation. Service was average almost choppy as servers reached over plates and crossed over my friends as they were eating. Is there a reason you don’t present a drink menu unless we ask for it? Is there a reason you only give one menu for a table of 5? We had to ask for another one. Crispy beef … it seemed to be all fried batter no beef. Dungeness crab was light and delicious. I’ve definitely have had better soup dumplings. Velvet chicken was bland. Not likely to return.

Having been a huge fan of Mr Chow’s for decades, the last couple of dinners have been less than stellar ! Last night at Tribeca the satays missed their crunch, lettuce wraps missed their punch , the Ma Mignon was tough…not sure I will go back !

Way overpriced. Food was fine but far from memorable. “Family-sized” portions wouldn’t feed a family of hamsters , but cost a small fortune. Staff was great and service prompt. Very noisy and a bit cramped but ambience nice overall. Would not return. Many better options in the city for Chinese.

Always a treat and great people watching at Mr Chow. Service was excellent- felt a bit rushed. Over ordered and they packed up all of our leftovers in a beautiful pink bag!

Strange place. This is a Chinese restaurant without any Chinese people, without any Chinese decoration, without chop sticks, with loud American pop music and big pictures of Marlon Brando on the walls. The food was ok but very expensive, far more expensive than the value of it. The servants did their job but without any kind of joy or happiness. Nice with the white linen cloths on the tables..

Mr. Chow's is WAY overpriced for the actual food and ambiance that it offers. We could not hear each other speak, and we felt rushed despite spending an enormous amount of money. Unacceptable for a NYC establishment. Better off at a Chinese restaurant in Chinatown.

It was my daughter’s birthday and it is always her request to come here for dinner. As always we were always serviced with a smile. Very attentive. We love Mr. Chow!!! Hope to go again soon.
