MR CHOW, fondé en 1979 par le restaurateur Michael Chow, est célèbre dans le monde entier. Depuis la filiale originale ouverte à Londres en 1968, le restaurant continue à plaire à ses clients fidèles, qui travaillent dans l'art, dans la mode, dans la musique et dans l'industrie de spectacles. Ce restaurant que Givenchy a décrit comme une « boîte à bijoux précieuse », s'est vu récemment décerné le 5 Star Diamond Award de l'American Academy of Hospitality Sciences pour son excellence, son service et sa cuisine. C'est l'un des restaurants les plus beaux de New York et il propose une cuisine chinoise gastronomique et un service impeccable. Le menu de MR CHOW conjugue les saveurs de l'authentique vieille Beijing à des recettes originales ; des spécialités de la maison incluent le poulet sate, les nouilles MR CHOW et Ma Mignon. Le menu propose aussi un canard laqué de Pékin faisant figure parmi les meilleurs au monde. The food was excellent - but we felt incredibly rushed. It‘s totally understandable that a restaurant wants to sell tables as many times per evening as possible - but the bill arrived (unrequested) before we had even started our dessert - and my partner wanted to have another tea but didn‘t dare to ask after the bill had arrived. We were at Mr. Chow for just a little bit more than an hour but we were practically thrown out. Is this supposed to be a fast-food chain? If yes, a 400$-bill (incl. tip) for two people is a bit much. Also, next to us was a family with two small children (~ 4-6 years old) and the kids were really loud and nerve-racking. I truly believe that we as a society as a whole need to be more accomodating and welcoming to children generally BUT considering the late hours (9pm, when children that age should be in bed!) and the fact that Mr. Chow is not really built as a „family restaurant“ I think it should really impose a policy that only people 12+ should be allowed in the restaurant. Sorry for sounding like a grumpy old man. But that really clouded our experience of an otherwise great evening with amazing food! Thank you.

Teníamos cita a las 23:00 horas, y llegamos antes y estaba prácticamente vacío. Ya era muy tarde para ver encontrado ambiente alrededor.

This is our favorite Chinese restaurant in NYC. Consistently outstanding food and impeccable service, extensive wine and cocktail listing, and the lettuce wraps are the best I’ve ever had anywhere. Try the sea bass, the pot stickers and any steak or chicken dish. You won’t be disappointed. But bring your wallet. It’s not cheap.

Love the food and superb service. There was one loud single diner talking on his phone on the balcony. A bit annoying. I have always appreciated the chic decor of the restaurant.
