Our server was horrible from the moment we sat down she gave the vibe that she didn't want us there.....well it was my wife's and I honeymoon which she did mention that then proceeded to neglect us and even offer the tables next to us who where also celebrating something a free dessert while not so much as even refilling our drinks...everyone else was lovely tho especially our bus boy and the food was excellent as always

Our party loved the food at Morimoto Asia last night. The sticky ribs are a must have and the wagyu sushi surf and turf was worth the splurge. Everything tasted great (though we’d skip the Kung Pao next time). Service was not good. I’m pretty sure the hostess forgot about us (despite a reservation) and kept seating walkins before us. The waitress had a bit of an arrogant attitude and wasn’t very attentive. Our food came out at very different times (30 minute wait for two dishes), leaving one member of our party with no food while everyone else had been served. We expected some differences in timing but this was not good. Even with this, the food would bring us back.

We have dined at several Morimoto locations. Duck is perfect. Food is consistently delicious. Server was good but we did have to ask for water refills a few times and we re-filled our wine glasses

Great dining experience. I had the following and would highly recommend everything. -Fish carpaccio -Sticky ribs(amazing) -Garlic green beans -Crispy whole fish. The fish was served in a “ponzu” type sauce and was tasty. The beans and the crispy whole fish have delicious savory sauces on them with a little spice. The fish is deboned and the ribs are crispy and tender. Excellent seamless service.

I'm so sad to be writing such a disappointing review but here we are... I booked morimoto months back and have been overly excited for this special meal to celebrate my husbands bday, early father's day and the kids of school! The night started off great.... our resy was a 6pm but decided to go abt 30 minutes early and check out their happy hour. We were greeted by the sweetest host (I didn't get his name but he was genuinely sweet and so accommodating) who had already seen our resy and greeted my husband w "happy bday". We were seated in the happy hour section and since we have younger kids, we decided to stay in the happy hour section so we didn't dirty up 2 tables. From here, it went downhills. We ordered drinks ( cocktails and sake ) and a couple apps from the happy hour menu. The duck fat fries were SO delish! The happy hr nachos were incredibly salty and inedible. ( Still, my Asian side just couldn't complain about it ). We were waiting for our table to clear to order dinner.. but after about 15 minutes, I ended up clearing the table myself and bringing dirty plates to the bar. We ordered dinner ( miso soups, fried rice, more drinks and the spicy whole fish). The soup and fried rice were pretty goody, the fish was OK. It wasn't spicy.. once again, it was super salty. We finished dinner and were quickly asked if we wanted dessert as the waitress was handing us the bill. We felt rushed ( mind you.. this was at 6:45, only 1.25 hr after we first sat down ). No bday cake, no acknowledgement. We got the fries and fried rice for togo and headed out, wishing we had picked a different restaurant to splurge on. There are SO many amazing restaurants in Waikiki... this unfortunately wasn't one of them.

Food was absolutely delicious! We got the chicken wontons (spicy but amazing) and the black pepper beef. Both had a great spice to it and the meat was tender enough to cut with your fork. Definitely get the port dessert wine - exquisite! **if you’re a person who makes a lot of substitutions on their meals, go elsewhere - the chef makes everything in his vision and how he plans the food to taste. (Obviously allergies are different) A great place for a date night or just a nice dinner over the water to yourself.
