MOPHO strives to be a true neighborhood restaurant, combining the flavors of Southeast Louisiana and Southeast Asia. From rich pho broths, to hand ground curries, and our signature bubble tea cocktails; everything at MOPHO is made from scratch with care and attention to freshness and flavor. We also serve whole roasted hog brushed with lemongrass, garlic, and chiles every Saturday for lunch.
In 2014, MOPHO was nominated as one of Bon Appetit's Top 50 Best New Restaurants. It was also named Restaurant of the Year by New Orleans Magazine and People's Choice Best New Restaurant by Gambit Magazine in 2014.

The hostess was wonderful. I was greeted and my reservation was found easily. My waitress must have been having an off night. Bar drinks and regular drinks took 20 minutes to come out. Appetizers arrived warm, not hot when drinks arrived. Waited on refills until our entrees arrived. When entrees arrived, one of the orders was incorrect. Not the best experience, but will give another try. May have been a rough night.

This is one of our family's favorite restaurants in the New Orleans area. We have yet to have a bad meal here. The chicken wings with caramel sauce are a huge highlight that we have to get EVERY visit. My daughter HAS to have her kid's chicken pho regularly. I love trying different things on the menu. I get the veggie bowl when I want something light, but you can NEVER go wrong with one of the daily specials, or really ANYTHING on the menu. We are here at LEAST twice a month, usually more.

We had not been to MoPho and didn’t know what to expect. Their online menu wasn’t much help. But the reviews are good so we tried the place. We had to get the waitress to explain the menu. We liked most everything we ordered. We’re going back, and we’ll know better what to order. They got really busy, so we’ll go early.

We completely enjoyed our experience at Mopho. Only caveat is that for those who are sensitive to spicy foods the dishes here can be on the spicier side of things.

This restaurant is very frustrating. It goes through periods of being really good but more often it’s disappointing. Chicken pho a few months back was very good with almost a whole chicken thigh in the broth. Had it today and there were a few small bits of chicken that barely equaled a small spoonful. Price: $16.00. It was served lukewarm and filled less than half the bowl. There are dozens of better pho restaurants in N.O. I wish this place could get back to being one.

If you are vegetarian, this place is an oasis. Best tofu I've ever had, and the papaya salad is on point (though spicy, but I loved it).

MoPho is of the best restaurants in New Orleans. Went with a group of friends and from the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warm hospitality. The food was an absolute delight, bursting with flavors that left everyone craving for more. The service was top-notch, and the ambiance was cozy and inviting. A true gem in our community!

Mopho still underappreciated in this corner of NOLA. Fantastic and unique culinary fusion. Their specials are on point (Kimchi fried rice with brisket -- chefs kiss), and the cocktail program is lovely.

Coming from the Twin Cities MN, which has loads of Hmong, Viet, Thai, other SE Asian cultures and cuisine, we felt right at home in the Big Easy at MoPho. The Chicken Khao Soi was a rich, not spicy curry based dish bursting with flavor and complimentary textures. The chicken pulled apart effortlessly with chopsticks, and crunchy noodles made for a perfect bite. The special Pork Pho was a mouth watering smorgasbord of varied pork cuts, from salty melt in your mouth belly, to tender meatballs (cubes). The pork steam buns were an express train to flavortown. Filled with pork belly and cracklings for a perfect textural balance of opposites. The boba drinks had the option to add a thoughtfully selected alcohol pairing to each. A great option for those who don’t imbibe/kids, and scoundrels like myself. The atmosphere was mellow and laid back. The service was fast and exceptional. Overall well worth the trip from downtown, a short 10-15 min uber. Second Line brewing is visible from MoPho and deserves a shout out as well. A dynamic duo of places with great service and vibes that make for a great date night. 10/10.

MoPho never disappoints! The waiter and kitchen accommodated three different allergy concerns between the four diners; very graciously. There are seriously no better gluten free chicken wings anywhere. Thanks, MoPho!

I’m not a fan of Vietnamese cuisine, but my friends enjoy it. This was fusion so there were many dishes other than pho that attracted me. Ate a grilled shrimp bowl with coconut rice and yellow curry sauce. Service was great. Had peanut butter ice cream for dessert.

Had a business lunch here and it was amazing. Staff were very attentive and well versed on the menu. We had one person with food allergies and they took that very seriously. Even offered secondary choices to accommodate the food allergy. I personally had the shrimp and grits and it was AMAZING! I ate every single bite! Scraped the plate clean!

Great interpretation of Asian Fusion, as the restaurant advertises. Indonesian Chicken, Thursday special, was delicious. Shrimp (fried) Vermicelli bowl with Yellow Curry sauce on the shrimp was refreshing and delicious. Service was great.

Excellent food, excellent service! Spicy cucumbers and the fries were amazing, we got all three flavors of the chicken bites. Hot tip, pb and j steamed bun for the kids!!!

This is a neighborhood restaurant with cool mid-century decor. The service was prompt, attentive and friendly. The chicken wings appetizer were the best. The fried oyster rolls were good too. Entrees included the Sunday cochon, fish and chips and shrimp and grits. All were great!

Post-Jazz Fest dining! We were seated quickly. Great food and service along with a good wine and beer selection. We dined high top with no issues. Would definitely return.

Good cocktails. Chicken wings were good- sweet salt and spice the shrimp buns with added vindaloo sauce was good but lazy preparation. Not a bun. More like a taco.

Other than the host, who had the personality of a doorstop, everything was lovely. The food was amazing. Our server was fun, polite, kind, and had great suggestions! I had the Spicy Chicken Vindaloo Sandwich and Spicy Sesame Cucumbers. I left nothing behind. Both the people I was with had pho and were equally satisfied with their meals. Would HIGHLY recommend!
