Mooncusser serves a $120 multicourse menu from head chef Carl Dooley. Since opening in 2017, the restaurant has been awarded top honors by the New York Times, Boston Magazine and other publications.

Creative and subtly seasoned food that ranges from Asia to Italy with flare. The room and the presentations are beautiful. We thought the fried oysters with a rich but not “hot “ habenaro sauce and all the mains were exceptional. Will aim to return when the next seasonal tasting menu is in place .

We were not greeted for at least 15 minutes. Drinks took more than 5 minutes to arrive and hadn’t spoken to our server (or anyone else that we didn’t have to flag down) for about 40 minutes.

Mooncusser made a wonderful meal for us. The flavors were fresh, vibrant and delicious! I am looking forward to my next meal there. I love how they are truly embracing what I would call world cuisine as there are elements of food cultures from all over the world represented on the plate throughout the meal. They are doing an amazing job of balancing flavors and exciting the the taste buds. Everything looks and tastes amazing. If I had one nugget of advice for them it would be to pace the meal a touch quicker. With that said, we had a wonderful time and a truly delicious meal. Everyone we interacted with was a true professional and there is plenty of passion on the plate!

No frills ambiance. The tasting menu was solid, lots of delicious flavors in most of the dishes. A big miss with the peach pie dessert in which gochujang was added and completely ruined the otherwise delicious dessert. Pretty good value for the amount of food. Housemade roti was yummy. My favorite dish was the cod cheek, absolutely fantastic.

We had a great birthday dinner experience here! The preset menu is diverse, novel and delicious. We left totally satisfied, in both the brain and belly. Dinner can normally take a while (2+ hours) but we ran a bit late and had a show to catch (just 1.5 hours to dine); service was so friendly and accomodating, they "kept it rolling" for us and we enjoyed every minute. Definitely a special place for occasions in any season, since the menu rotates.

Mooncusser is my very favorite dinner out in Boston. The food is always wonderful and includes delicious surprises. The service is even better than the food … which is a very high bar!

Everything was purposefully done, the layers , complexity and flavors in all the dishes were an experience. I have never tried or would have never imagined combining any of the ingredients in the dishes. I really appreciate Chefs that have knowledge to push the boundaries and they execute with excellence. I am really intrigued at what new ideas and dishes they will create when they change the menu. I look forward to returning!

Great experience. We went for our anniversary and the food was great. The only issue we had was where we were sitting. We unfortunately were right under a AC vent, so it was a bit chilly all meal. The place was full, so there was nothing to be done, it did not take away from the overall enjoyment of the evening however. I would just recommend brining a blazer or shawl if you get cold easily.
