I arrived at the required time. Was asked “I take it you’re here for the bottomless lunch - I won’t check I’ll take your word for it”. Was then seated and left for 35 minutes. When I finally flagged down the person who originally served me was told “I asked someone else to serve you as I had something else to do”. Apparently as a solo diner I was not important. I walked out.

Absolutely fabulous dinner. We had the set menu with wine pairing it was really excellent. And the staff are really attentive and such interesting people. Thanks for a great evening

Seems to have gone downhill. Less than half full on a Friday night. Food not as good as it used to be and terrible service. They were not busy and empty plates were left for ages, we had to wait a long time to order drinks.

I asked for a quiet table and this was granted. It was beside the fireplace which was just lovely. The food was great, as was the wine list. We will be back again.

I had been to monster previously and enjoyed the experience, however very disappointed this time around. The food was hit and miss, ambience disturbed by intoxicated people and the waitstaff had hygiene issues.

Honestly, I was a bit disappointed. We have eaten here before and really enjoyed ourselves, but on this occasion the service was a bit slow and the cocktails were very poor. The food was over flavoured and just not enjoyable to eat. One of the cocktails was completely undrinkable … and believe me, I’ve drunk some terrible drinks before.

We had 3 different meals and 2 were outstanding. The spinach gnudie was very floury and not very good.

Enjoyed the meal very much service was excellent apart from an incorrect tea being brought to the table. We ordered 2 x peppermint we received 1 peppermint and I think 1 x Jasmin the tags on both bags were very similar so the mistake was easily made. We did not comment to the wait staff as it was of little consequence to us. Another great meal enjoyed at Minster

Very Good food menu chooses and drinks, waited for abit too long to be served drinks while we waited for our table - we were early. Signage to restaurant from basement carpark not clear to us.

Monster is a rarity in Canberra as a vegetarian outlet that treats vegetables in ways that surprise vegans (like me) and meat eaters alike. I have taken friends who are keen on their steaks and roast chicken to Monster and they love it - they want to come back. The set menu on this occasion was excellent with terrific matching wines. The creativity involved in the preparations of dishes and their presentation is wonderful. Is there a better restaurant in Canberra? I doubt it. Others may be as good but not better! I can't wait until my next visit.

Outstanding restaurant. We are vegetarians, so it’s one of our favourite places. My wife and I stay at a close hotel just so we can go to this restaurant. Don’t miss it.

It’s great to have a vegetarian fine dining option. We enjoyed the set selection for New Year’s Eve and enjoyed everything. We also got the sweet potato chaat added on as we were curious to try it. All of the dishes were detailed and had amazing flavour. The sweet potato dish was spicier than expected - we were hoping for a little more subtle so worth checking if you don’t like hot things. The cocktails were also amazing and excellent quality! All in all, it was very enjoyable and we will be back!

Great food on our first return in about 5yrs! The waiter negotiated a good wine deal after several choices from the wine list turned out not be available so cheers to him in particular.

Very nice. Xmas lunch. Not so struck on the beef Wellington, I don't like the red, of the non meat. A didn't really like the taste. But the veggies were all presented nicely. Sauces were nice. You don't really have to hide the flavors of veggie dishes. Great service. Beautiful restaurant

Went for Christmas lunch and the meal was absolutely delicious - one of the best meals we’ve had there. Each dish was different and innovative, and we left feeling full and satisfied. There was a mix up with our dishes, so we did have to wait about 30 minutes between our third and fourth (main) courses but it was Christmas and the staff were extremely busy, so we weren’t too worried. We were also hit with the additional holiday surcharge which we weren’t aware of until paying the bill. It would have been good to know this at the start or it be included in the booking charge.

Great to have a strong vegetarian option in Canberra. However, staffing was inadequate for the volume of customers. Overall, a good restaurant but a reminder that a Hat is not equivalent to a M star.

Scrumptious food and all vegetarian!! So great to be able to choose anything on the menu. It's a fun and elegant place with very intriguing food selections. Love the pink chandelier.
