Built on the shores of Mono Lake in 1921 and originally used as a bunkhouse, Mono Inn has a long history as one of the best gathering places for miles around.

This was our second visit to The Mono Inn and we were wowed again! Chef Jason Custer really knows how to create flavor experiences as well as well as a visual feast. Not only is the food beautiful, the setting is equally spectacular! The Mono Inn has a knack for finding amazing and attentive staff. Everyone is knowledgeable and their attention to detail really makes dining here a special event! The chef even presented some dishes personally. I felt lucky to have ordered the Shady Lady cocktail made with a house infused cherry bourbon from cherries grown on property. The bourbon is was almost gone! I passed on the wine pairing but I have no doubt it was a great coupling. If you have the chance to dine here, I highly recommend.

The sunset view from this elegant dining room is exquisite. The Chef goes out of his way to modify the menu for dietary requirements. He is impassioned and creative. The staff is just great.

Our server Jessica was especially kind and helpful along with all of the staff. We celebrated my husbands birthday in such an enjoyable and unique food tasting experience.

We had an amazing dining experience at the Mono Inn the other evening. I had emailed the staff curious if they could accommodate a vegan diner and they got back to me immediately that yes they could w/ 24hrs notice. It's so hard for us as a couple to find places to eat which cater to any sort of vegan fair in/around the Sierras. We were so excited for our date night. The Inn itself is idealic, set on the hillside overlooking Mono basin/lake and the sunsets are just stunning. The building has huge sweeping panoramic windows and rustic/deco interior designs which was a pleasure to sit, relax and drink a cocktail before our meal. Our cocktails were just epic, hand created with care in just the cutest glasses. We loved all the touches. The staff is welcoming and warming. The service all night was a cut above anywhere I've experienced in around the Sierra's as far as attention to detail & knowledge, checking in and making sure we were having a great dining experience throughout the night. The food was incredible! We did the tasting menu & chef prepared a 6 course vegan tasing menu for my fiancé! I couldn't believe it. AND its was amazing!! So many unforgettable courses and tastes! The little potato caviar cones, the salmon/tomato ragout, I had the Waygu beef and it was such a treat literally melted in my mouth. Chef made a delicious bread from local grains & the butter was to die for. We loved every course - and dessert was so fun with multiple bites including my favorite - a lemon ice cream sandwich. It was a fantastic evening. We also did the wine pairing which was perfect. We were intrigued to learn that the bar - which is a warm, cozy & beautiful space - offers a separate more casual menu. We will definitely be hitting that up more regularly for a burger and a cocktail or beer after a day on the water. I would not hesitate to book a table (tasting menu) or hit up the bar for an exceptional & totally unique dining experience. Secrets out! This place is amazing

Fabulous experience-food, service, view of Mono Lake. So unique and tasty was the tasting menu. The only slight bummer was a loud mouth at the bar, someone tell him to use his indoor voice!!!!

Amazing! My husband and I enjoyed every single minute of our dining experience at the Mono Inn! The service was outstanding! The food was excellent! Each course was delicious! Our lead server made us feel right at home. We will return again and again! 10 Stars!!!

The BEST restaurant in the Eastern Sierra. Whether it’s the Tasting Menu, the Bar Menu, or Sunday brunch, each dining experience leaves you wanting for more!!!

The service was perfect friendly but not distracting or time consuming, invisible and prompt. Food was pretty to look at and delicious, and the wait was non existent The views were as always gorgeous The restaurant from entry to restrooms to conference area were clean and appropriately interesting and appointed. Parking was convenient Owner manger and chef partners were available in just the right way, and fortunate for us the restaurant was not busy though I suspect it would never feel "hectic" or rushed....but peaceful and private.

Masterful artistry, incredible flavors, attentive service. Fantastic, worth the price and a true culinary experience! If you are able, go treat your pallet to the Mono Inn and the truly beautiful creations of chef Jason Custer. We loved all of it! A Wow!
