We booked a table but decided it would be fun to sit at the bar. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. We shared ahi tuna burger and fries, but the fries were a little cold. Wish they had a full bar. That being said, we loved the energy and staff.

We really enjoyed Monk's Kettle. I would describe it as elevated bar food. Vibe is good and service was attentive. My only complaint is the booth seats are pretty uncomfortable! Get chairs if you can. I would gladly go back.

The food here was not great. The restaurant was so cold we could see our breath, and the service was slow and mediocre for a half full restaurant.

Ate on a Thursday lunchtime. Fantastic place. Food was great. Drink was really great. We were a family of five with three kids and the service was exceptional from a lovely guy who made us fell very welcome. Nice space

Great selection of beers combined with solid pub food. The bartender/server was on his game in spite of a full house. Kudos to him.

This is a fun pub for a variety of beers and some really good fried chicken. Service was very attentive.

We were a larger group and switched size to which the staff were great at accommodating us. Adam was our server and he was pretty awesome at tolerating our indicisiveness. Lamb burger was just ok on the flavor size but all other items we ordered (pretzels were bomb!) were delish.

After a day of travel, I was simply looking for something close to my hotel with available seating. I did not expect this diamond in the rough. This was Michelin worthy food at a beer pub; no hyperbole. I will be back the next time I’m in town.

We came to try the burger which was on the Infatuation SF list for best SF burgers. It was great! Thumbs up! Big bonus was the vegetable curry with chicken & rice! We loved this too and will definitely be back for both. Great vibe and service too!

The servers are terrific and friendly. I liked the pretzel roll a lot and the beer/wine list is great. The kale salad is better on paper than on the plate.

We really enjoyed our time at Monk’s Kettle. The beers we had were really different from what we’d had anywhere else and they were fantastic. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable in helping us decide on some drinks. For food we had the house pickles, fried romesco, Brussels sprouts, lamb burger, ahi melt, and bread pudding. The Brussels sprouts were some of the best we’ve ever had. The lamb burger was the only so so dish as it seemed rather bland compared to the rest of our choices, but it paired very well with my schlenkerla beer. We will definitely be coming back!
