We were a party of 4 celebrating 2 birthdays & all ordered the Filet Mignon as our Entree - 3 of the Filets were ordered as 'medium' and the other as 'medium well'. The 3 Filets ordered as 'medium' were all cooked differently - one was 'medium', one was 'rare' & the other 'medium rare'. I had the Filet that was ordered as 'medium well 'and it came back the least cooked out of the four, which was very odd. We sent 2 of the 4 steaks back & opted not to have them cooked as to what we had originally ordered as the significant miss put us off. We proceeded to eat the sides that were served & enjoyed a glass of Wine while doing so. At the end of the service, there was no real apology for the miss but moreover, it was - hey we won't charge you for those 2 steaks you sent back, here's the check, have a wonderful evening. Disappointing experience & quite shocking that a Filet can't be cooked to the desired preference. It put a huge spoiler on our evening. I'm all about the recovery when an error is made & was super disappointed at how that was handled - 'Hey we didn't charge you'. I sincerely hope you didn't as you didn't serve what was ordered and therefore 2 of us missed out on a main course during a very special family event/celebration. Would have expected more from a restaurant of this caliber.

Spent our 10 year anniversary, our first time visiting the restaurant. From the glass of champagne when you arrive to the farewell thank you when you leave, the service was exceptional. We both had The Royale, which was over the top. Bam took great care of us. It was nice enjoying the view and not knowing what the next course was going to be. We would highly recommend Monarch restaurant. Steve

The food and ambiance were outstanding. The mushroom risotto is a must-try! The view is spectacular, making the overall experience amazing. It’s the perfect spot for special occasions.

I had written my first ever review because of the abysmal experience we had from beginning to end at Monarch. My wife (and much better half) prevailed upon me not to write with such vitriol. As usual, she is right. So, I’ll just say that the meal was supremely disappointing.

From the moment you enter the establishment you know your dining experience will be very special. The Service goes above and beyond. From our drinks, to our appetizers, and oooh the Entrees and finishing with desert were all excellent.

We had a difficult time getting in but once we were there the experience was top notch. Our server was Hash and he was the best! We spoke with a few of the managers whom came over to check on us and I was very impressed with the service. We will definitely be back!

Ok. a very good restaurant. Not on par with The Mansion but close. Happy Hour was a good deal. Two dollar oysters and good margaritas. What could be better? Our table was a window table The view was great. Our server was knowledgable and attentive. Service was very good. The food - also very good. The veal parmesan was the size of a hubcap. My wife had a filet mignon - once again excellent. The filet mignon was first class, as were the salads We had two salads witt both were superb. The not so good? The chocolate cake was uninspired. Avoid it. The tiramisu .was much better. The noise? Awful. There is a steady drumbeat heard in the rap music You”d think a low rider with 1000 watts was nearby. I mentioned it - our waiter said that manages did not care. This place needs some good jazz or classical or Sinatra in the background. Lastly. Ignore the dress code. Five roustabouts in jeans and tee shirts were next to us. They weee having a good time. I wished them well.These guys knew how to have fun!!!

Amazing experience! Wagyu was delicious! Truffle whipped potatoes were amazing and the roasted carrots were the best I ever had. Drinks were strong! In a good way! They even gave me a personalized menu for my bday! My husband felt there wasn’t enough side options so I’ll say 9/10

The food was good. Maybe not quite worth the prices. The restaurant was pretty loud. The wait staff was fairly inattentive for an upscale restaurant which was maybe the most disappointing part. Our waiter was a little hard to find when needed and didn’t stay on top of drink refills quickly enough or dessert menu service.

Our server Pepe was great-friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We were attending a concert so had a tight timeline and he was on top of it- food, drinks, atmosphere and service were superb- will be back!

I recently dined at Monarch in Dallas, Texas, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience from start to finish. The food was simply not worth the exorbitant prices they charge. Every dish seemed to suffer from an excessive amount of salt, leaving an unpleasant taste lingering in my mouth. To add insult to injury, their wine selection was severely overpriced. It felt like they were trying to squeeze every last dollar out of their customers without providing any value in return. As for the service, it was lackluster at best. Apart from our waiter, Stephen, who did his best to salvage the evening, the rest of the staff seemed disinterested and indifferent. Their attempts at being personable, elegant, and sophisticated fell flat, leaving a sour impression on what was supposed to be a special dining experience. Overall, I would not recommend Monarch to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. Save your money and find a restaurant that values both quality food and exceptional service.

Food was great. That is where my praise ends. Our server did the bare minimum and didn't want to be there; she was a complete joke. (I've worked in restaurants so I give a lot of grace.) She took forever in everything she did and I found her multiple times leaning against the wall doing nothing. There is ZERO view if you do not pay an asinine amount to get a window seat. The room was sterile and the exact opposite of what their website shows. That's because we booked through Open Table. Monarch even sent an email stating "For future visits, we invite you to use the Monarch Dallas direct reservation page. Booking through this page will ensure you have exclusive access to the best availability and all our exceptional experiences." So unless you book through them, you get to sit on the other side that is beautiful and exclusive.

Our son recommended Monarch and had a wonderful experience. As he suggested, I booked a window seat for our anniversary, but upon arrival we were seated 10 mins late and in a booth, where our view was of the staff and customers walking past us. When I explained I had requested a window seat, our waiter told me it was a $125 deposit per person and had to be made on their website. I was hopeful the food would at least be more impressive and sadly, it was not. The lobster was ok, mashed potatoes was good, but the $35 dessert was not worth the price. My drink was a Lemon Drop and also not worth the $24. Valet is also not included. The manager did stop by after our dinner and offered us a window seat if we would dine with them again. Sadly, it was a very disappointing dinner and not worth $235.

Hash our server was Amazingly on point all night with every step of the meal, we didn’t even need the menu and trusted him to show us the best dishes. Every dish was perfect, and the pairings were exceptional! A round of applause to the team behind Hash that made our dinner so incredible. Thank you!

Wife and I celebrated our anniversary here as our first dining experience. The service was impeccable. From reception to our sommelier visit to closing out or check. Ignacio, our server, truly made us feel welcomed and took care of our every need. The food was on-point and well cooked. The experience starts with the idea initial messaging stating if you don’t show up you’ll be paying a $25/person late cancel fee that’s your introduction. Via text. Day prior you’re reminded of this again. Then comes the obligatory dress like gentlemen but women can wear what they want including a tube top and sneakers we don’t care, email. Arrival met with sparking rosé. However the sparkle Had left that wine hours before my arrival. The trip to the 49th floor could have been enhanced by host staff. But was not. Arrival, on 49 resulted in a lot of pointing where one could wait for their reservation. There was no welcome or hey there are great views off to this side or anything. Then came the hard sell for cocktails While one was waiting. But alas order for cocktails was interrupted by table being ready. The happy occasion was a birthday. The waiter came to the table and thanked us for dining their before and for someone else’s special occasion. The maitre’D was summoned and they got it wrong a second time. It was Michael’s birthday. Not Micahel not Robyn. It was Michael’s birthday. The fact no one could get that right was the first thing that set the tone for this dinner. Two print outs later they had the man of the hour’s name on a menu. The first and second courses were served together as if we were being rushed through course one and two. The salad was served with the appetizer only one set of plates was given. Appalling to say the least. The pasta course was delivered while some one was in the restroom. They could have held the salad back and put new plates out. Apparently this person couldn’t be bothered to bring a second set of plates or allow time between appetizers and salad. So we were rushed. The meatballs were over cooked and burned on the outside. The waitstaff just picked up the dishea and we moved on The salad was for three. It was barely enough for one. My husband and I went to, Monarch for our 10 year anniversary. We made reservations three weeks ahead of time and arrived about 10 to 15 minutes late and there were no issues at the door. We were greeted with a glass of champagne and staff happily took pictures to help capture our special day. Service was wonderful and the food was delicious. We ordered a steak, the chicken, asparagus, pasta and the meatballs as an appetizer. I had a chocolate martini and he had a glass of champagne. Our overall favorite food was the chicken. I Highly recommend going for a special day or any day you want a delicious meal. There were several other people there, who were casually dressed but overall, I’ll give it five stars. We will definitely be back.

I was skeptical about a restaurant with all 5 star reviews… but after dining at Monarch I see why this spot has earned 5 stars from every reviewer. Food, service and ambience all amazing!! Go for a special occasion and you won’t regret it!

It was quite busy for a Sunday night. So much so that even with a reservation, we had to wait in the lounge (200mins) to be seated and waited even longer for our food to come to the table. After ordering drinks in the lounge, our table was ready and we had to wait another 10minutes for the young lady that took our order to come back and close our tab. It would have been much more efficient and convenient if they transferred the tab to our table. The music is not fitting for the restaurant. It is too upbeat and left me feeling as if I was in an action movie with Jason Statham somewhere fighting in the bathroom while chaos ensues in the kitchen. Maybe that’s why the food took so long and medium steak came out well done. Terrible, horrible, wall paper.

A bit of a struggle to get a table with a view. But well worth it. Requires a down payment. Understandable when you see it. It’s amazing!

Each Michelin star is well deserved! Please go - you will NOT be disappointed! The Caesar salad and oyster were delicious. The spicy rigatoni is a must-have! And the bone in filet is incredible. We will definitely be going back!

Not sure why the dress code is such a factor on the restaurant profile and even via text reminder when it clearly wasn’t enforced. Saw a bar menu catch itself on fire upon entering the restaurant. Our table was next to a fire exit for some reason and the table next to us was blocking the stairs. The other table next to us was told about specials and we were not. The “table focaccia” appeared to be a country white bread. The crudo was very good. The Brussels were mid. The bolognese was fine, the whole lobster spaghetti was lacking any noticeable flavor. Enjoyed the chocolate cake. Won’t be returning.
