Mona Lisa Mare e Monti , in San Francisco, serves classic Italian dishes crafted with top-quality local and seasonal produce in its charming and welcoming eatery. Mare e Monti is located in the Heart of North Beach's Little Italy. Our Restaurant specializes in Authentic Italian Seafood and Steaks. We also offer a variety of different cuts of Pasta's, which are created in house everyday! We are best known for our Bistecca Fiorentina, which is a 24oz porterhouse steak. Our Seafood is brought to use daily by our local Fishermen. Some of our most popular seafood dishes are our Zuppa Di Pesce or our Whole Dungeness Crab plate. The food was amazing. The wait staff was more interested in flirting with other tables. The noise level was very high. I was unable to speak with my husband who was across the table.

We came in with a large party and we were treated exceptionally. From cocktails and wine to starters to pastas, we enjoyed every last bite. Cant wait to come back and sit in their back patio.

Great food and staff! We celebrated my birthday w/friends and they took good care of everyone. We had raw oysters, cesar salad, salmon, chicken leonardo, pork medallions, seafood pasta, and more. All very delicious!

We had a leisurely and delicious dinner with friends. Everything from the wine, salad, entrees and a shared dessert were very good. Our favorites were the entrees - excellent risotto, delicious fresh pasta dish with salmon and a tasty cippiono. Salads were good, and the frito misto was huge and tasty. So, be prepared for generous portions of delicious food. Our server had lots of personality and made us feel welcome, too.

The food was very good, and the menu more varied and creative than most places in North Beach. Many traditional dishes had interesting accents. Got great advice on wine and food pairing. There are indoor and outdoor tables, the space is very pleasant. Service was excellent: friendly and attentive.

We dined here for our 25th Anniversary. The staff was warm, friendly and offered amazing service all night long. Wine list is nicely curated with good selections in all price points. The food was delicious, we had special pasta course with lobster and crab that was outstanding. Appetizers and entrees were equally beautifully prepared and tasty. Definitely treat yourself.

Love this restaurant! First time here. Our party of 5 was warmly greeted at the door, then promptly seated even though we were 15 minutes early to our reservation. Tomas, our server, was on point the entire evening, coming by at just the right times; we felt very well taken care of. Cocktails were yummy, appetizers great, entrees delicious ~ authentic Italian menu that brought back great memories of our recent trip to Italy. Will definitely be back!

Four of us dined, each having a different entree. All entries were outstanding. Portions are generous and service was very good in a nice atmosphere. Don't miss the orange tiramisu for dessert.

Food and service was excellent. Although, our main course took a long while to get served at our table. It’s a good thing we had plenty to talk about that kept us engaged but otherwise, it took them a really long time.

One of the best pasta and cioppino dinners we’ve had in North Beach in a very long time! House-made pasta is excellent. Service was attentive but not too much. Overall experience made the slightly dated and kitschy decor totally fine, we’d go again!

My husband and I shared an appetizer (grilled octopus), Caesar salad, entree (tagliatelle with mushrooms and sausage) and dessert (orange tiramisu). Everything was delicious and enough food for us. Our server Giovanni was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our experience at Mona Lisa Mare e Monti!

Service was classic Italian continental. Our server was very Italian. The bruccetta was to die for I had the new York steak and the minestrone soup. Both were far above average even compared to the best steak houses in the bay area .with wine,a shared dessert, and coffee with tip for 4 people cost 248.00 plus tip. Very reasonable considering the quality and style.

I'd feared this spot would be bland and touristy, but it wasn't at all. The food and service were great, and the homemade pastas were lovely. The few wait staff had a hard time keeping up with the demand, but I don't blame them for that.

We had an absolutely lovely evening at Mona Lisa Mare e Monti. We got all dressed up for the evening and thought we might be overdressed for the place. We weren't! It reminds me of an old style Jazz Supper Club from the late 50's. Waiter was amazing!! Impeccable service and absolutely delicious Dinner. We shared appetizers and starters as well as the entree, It was just the right amount of food. Amazing and interesting twist on the old standard Italian dishes, very nice! You will enjoy!
