You won’t want to miss the two-level Soho outpost of this popular Upper West Side and Chelsea Japanese restaurant — with a 12-seat sushi bar, cocktails on the ground floor, and a plush dining room overlooking St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral upstairs. I was seated outside so I can't really speak to the noise. Overall, a very good experience as the food was delish. The bartender suggested a Japanese wine that the whole table ended up getting. My fave dish was the Crispy Rice Tuna and Crispy Rice Beef.

Amazing experience. I would just advise that you mention somewhere (in writing in the menu or verbally by the waiter) that the pancakes take 20-30 min to cook as we did not have time at the end and really wanted to experience it.
